The Jets and Giants QBs are getting killed.  Glad that the Eagles always invest in OL to protect the QB and power the run game.  Having the best OL coach also help.

Noticed the Jergen was replaced by Opeda on Sunday.  Was it an injury or performance for the switch?  Opeda seemed to hold his own out there.

I don’t think they believe steen is ready yet. And opeta has experience and started before. Don’t think they want to put Driscoll at guard cause he’s their swing tackle. So if he goes down at guard then you are really in a bind if lane or mailata go down and going with Fred Johnson. Hopefully we don’t find out but if kelce goes down with jurgens out, who’s gonna play center? I know when Driscoll was drafted it was talked about that he could wind up playing center.

I don't get it.  But is there a hidden holster for Ja's pistol is the real question?

Why are people forgetting that Dickerson played center at Alabama and was drafted as a center with the idea of him eventually replacing Kelce? It wasn’t until Jurgens came along that his remaining at guard became a thing. Certainly he could play center if needed. Granted you’d need to find a new left guard but that would be an easier ask than having someone new come in at center.

We got five sacks on Sunday and held their RBs to 67 yards on 22 carries.

It was Howell's 40 yards scrambling that was the problem.  We could probably do a better job finishing.   But the kid did a good job escaping and making plays.

I have to ask ... did you watch the game? That line can't block long enough for clean 5 yard passes.

Your biggest issue with the suggestion is the time the OL would need to block?

Jalen Carter had six pressures Sunday. That’s a great game regardless of him going to the ground a bunch.

He needs to be under more control and finish more on these 'pressures'.  He ran himself right by the QB on one play that I remember where he was out of control, and I believe Howell ended up turning it into a first down.

When is the last time he took a rep at center?  Would a "reacquainted" Dickerson at center be any better than the current options?  Why weaken two positions?

Yeah, the Autumn weather has been great!

The biggest middle finger to everyone would be the eagles winning a Super Bowl on the last play of the SB using the brotherly shove.

I was thinking it would be using it to just run the clock down on a long final drive... just do it 4 or 5 times on the drive.

We will have to agree to disagree.

Hard not to respect a guy who consistently wins you games with clutch kicks.

It started in 2017 with a huge clutch kick in his first game... and he's not disappointed in the clutch since then.  That garners respect.

The YoutTube guys are pushing Jeremy Chinn as the S/CB answer at the deadline. Thoughts?

He definitely came back to earth on those rushes.  He spent a lot of time on the ground and some of those double teams left one OL standing around not needing to do anything.  But he still showed burst and broke through a few times.

If that's Carter on a "bad" day as a rookie, we are in good shape.  But he certainly wasn't as effective as the last 3 weeks.

Agreed 100%

A beauty. Jalen has tried this more this year. If he continues that, then he's going to be good for a while.

Also, can't believe some people were mad he attempted that.

I'm more mad that he waited as long as he did to let that rip.   If he throws it 'on time', OZ has a chance to catch it and has time to turn up field.   He was late on that throw... making it a tougher throw than it should have been.   Throwing it before OZ makes the break means there's space for OZ, as you can see the LB is flat footed.   Waiting for the break, the LB breaks on the cut by OZ and closes immediately.   Was it a great throw?  Sure.  Did it need to be great?  Yes.  But, why did it need to be great?

He should be delivering the ball in the first screenshot.   By delaying he gives the LB time to adjust to the route.  It was a huge conversion at a critical time, but it wasn't a 'great play' by Hurts.  It was a good play where it could have been better.  Ironically, if it had been executed better by delivering the ball sooner, it likely wouldn't have been as noteworthy because it would have looked too easy.  But, that's where he needs to get.  He needs to get better in the anticipation and throwing on the cut, or before the cut to these guys in the tight zones.

I think it was after seeing him play really really well at LG that the idea of not moving him gained traction, and then adding Jurgens was the icing on the cake.   Dickerson is huge for a center.  Really really huge.

their red zone offense is the biggest issue they have at the moment if hurts is able to play turnover free football. The first 3 weeks hurts had 4 turnovers. Past week he didn’t have any. The offense gets inside the red zone and the play calls are often times head scratching or conservative. Sometimes they just look like they are off like Aj dropping a td or not on the same page as like with goedert. don’t get me wrong they need to figure out how to get goedert going as well as the oline needs to be better in terms of not getting penalized

I would like to see them use more motion and look at having swift run out of a slot or wing back position.  It's not like they need wholesale changes.  They just need more disguise that pressures the defense into revealing coverages and/or opening up space.

I hear you about being a tick early. But he was not "late". He starts his motion before the WR breaks. He's longer that he did, because OZ stumbles.

I like it if he is available for a mid-round pick

Kind of wish we made a play for Dalton Risner but we shall see how he does whenever he plays for Minn.  Edmunds definitely needs to be replaced.  This he's the weakest link of the team right now.  For someone who ran mid 4.4's at combine he seems like he has a lot of big choppy steps which really slow him down

I like the player and it would be nice to have him, but it would also be nice to have a long term solution there. He is in the final year of his deal and we know the Eagles aren't going to pay top dollar which Chinn will inevitably want. Also, who knows what kind of compensation the Panthers will want for him?

Yeah... OZ does stumble, but we want that ball delivered well before the LB can close like he did.  Hurts doesn't know that he's going to stumble, so his process was still slower than ideal on that pass.   It worked out...

But, on the stumbling... the field conditions weren't great on Sunday.  AJ slipped a few times too.  The field looked dry (as evidenced by the dust kicked up by OZ's slip).   No excuse for the field being too dry allowing players to slip like that.   The field doesn't have to be manicured like a baseball stadium... but if CBP can have perfect grass at this time of year, there's no reason that the Linc can't have a better field than it did.    (I know Temple is playing there too, but that shouldn't mean 'dry' turf.)  The grounds' crew needs to do a better job.

Like him.  Good young player on the last year of his contract.  Get it done Howie!

Same but I feel like he’s worth more to the Panthers than they’d ultimately get for him. JMO
