Always thought it was kind of funny how people would dismissively say "it’s a rugby play” without consulting the guy who actually played rugby.

It also shows a complete misunderstanding of the evolution of American football as a game.   Football derived from rugby and looked a fair amount like Australian rules football in early iterations.  Interference is not allowed under traditional rugby rules.  (Interference is characterized by blocking).  Confusing a scrum with blocking is a complete misunderstanding of rugby rules.

Eagles need a second center since Jurgens was Kelce's backup.  I'm thinking they activate Good-Jones from the practice squad and keep Steen inactive.  None of the other seven Eagles active OLs can play center.  They will put Jurgens on IR and elevate Mann to the active roster.  Since it looks like Covey will be out they will call up Ward from the practice squad to return punts and be the extra WR.

How soon we forget that Dickerson can play C.  Not ideal but it comes down to where they think the best grouping is.  Would likely activate Steen, who has four weeks of seasoning and Stout U since we last saw him at G.

Slay said in his Podcast the Defense takes responsibility for the last drive.  But they were playing off to keep the plays in front of them and milk clock.  I'm sorry but even with the AJ penalty, they should have gotten a stop on that drive.  Everyone keeps harping on the Jalen throwing the TD but a FG is not a lock even though Jake has been money.  Jalen saw how much AJ was burning Forbes and made a check.  It worked.   Our Defense has to get a stop with one timeout and less than 2 minutes.  Yes they redeemed themselves in overtime getting the stop but that last drive shouldn't have happen.  I'm fully aware we are dealing in injuries on D.  But we have to clean that up.  There are QB's much better than Sam Howell we will be playing this year.

He’s right. That prevent defense with the corners at least 12 yards deep and the LBs at least five yards deep was the reason for that TD.  Washington was easily able to find those huge holes in the zone.

Pretty sure it's a joke, dude. As in, someone on the internet made the meme, it's not literally a tweet from TMZ.

Wasn’t funny and TMZ has their trademark on it.

Berman keeps saying keep an eye on Jeremy Chinn as a trade at some point.

Baldy said today it's apparent on Jalen Hurts runs he can't turn the corner right now. Whether it's physical or deliberate to avoid injury, who knows.

We have 59M in cap space in 2024.

We will need to replace/extend...
DT2 (Cox), C or G (Kelce), QB2 (Mariota), RB1 (Swift), WR3 and LB2.

We can absolutely trade for a LB/Box S like Chinn and extend him. Bobby Okereke made 10M/Y as a true UFA. Donovan Wilson is more of a box safety and he got 7.M from the Cowboys.

I think one of the reasons the Panthers haven't signed Chinn, other than they're a bad organization, is that he doesn't have a lot of great comps. He's a hybrid player like Derwin James, but James makes 19M/Y and he's just not at that level.

I like the player and it would be nice to have him, but it would also be nice to have a long term solution there. He is in the final year of his deal and we know the Eagles aren't going to pay top dollar which Chinn will inevitably want. Also, who knows what kind of compensation the Panthers will want for him?

Long-term… Reed and Sydney Brown?

I can't believe the Jets would make jokes like this about Donna Kelce. And before you even start about this meme stuff, the Jets trademark is clearly visible on the helmets so they obviously condone this.

Alright getting juicy we are gonna have Taylor swift write a song about Aaron Rodgers attacking her bf

  Awww, is someone a little salty? Funny how Mr. Pfizer is actually playing on sundays and Mr. Immunized is relegated to caling into the Pat McAfee show to pass the time.

He's running a curl route not a corner route.  He's stopping so there's no real RAC even if he gets the ball sooner.  I don't think it was late.  He probably helped the receiver by waiting so the DB couldnt better undercut the route.

What DB?  There was no DB there.   Yes, it was a curl.  If he gets it sooner (assuming no stumble) he can catch it and then turn upfield.    Or at least have more breathing room when making the catch.   They ran those curls with AJ a lot and he got RAC afterwards on a bunch of those plays.

There's no defender between Hurts and the throw, there's no DB nearby.  Just the LB that reacted to OZ's break.

My soft take: Jalen Carter had a good game for a DT on Sunday, but a bad game for him. He got pressure, but was on the ground too much and couldn't close on sacks. He was still disruptive which allowed others to have sacks.

Yeah... I'm wondering about the amount of time he was on the ground.  The footing seemed to be subpar, and frankly, I don't understand why.  And how much did the footing play into him being on the ground.

One thing that I wish the Eagles had gotten from the ENTIRE DL, was a little more discipline in their rush lanes.  They let Howell out of the pocket too easily on far too many plays.  Once they started to notice that trend, they needed to tighten up the lane discipline and keep him hemmed in better.  I'm a big fan of the pocket just collapsing in on a QB and giving them no escape.  We have the rushers to do such a pass rush as well.  Just bull rush your man back into the QB.  Of course, that style of rush takes a little longer, so they need the back end to play a little tighter to stop the quick short throws.
