What is this?

Amazon Prime alternate cast for TNF. They have a camera that shows basically the whole field, and labels skill players on offense, has route lines for each one, and you can see the plays downfield, concepts, defensive shifts etc. Real football stuff.

I would love to have been there to see that game. Not to see Julius, but to watch Penn.

Bilsky, Wohl, Corky Calhoun, Bobby Morse, Wolf, Hankinson, Littlepage. Villanova slaughtered them in the NCAAs but it was still a helluva team.
An interesting aside: the Freshman coach in 1970-71 was Chuck Daly, who would go on to coach those really thuggish Detroit Pistons with Bill Laimbeer, et al.

4 games in...what used to be the 1/4 mark...my choices for MVPs:

Offensive MVP: Swift.  I expect Hurts to eventually overtake him, but it's got to be Swift through 4 weeks.

Defensive MVP: Josh Sweat.  The DT's steal the headlines, but they are present in waves, which dilutes their individual value.  We really lean on Sweat.  He has been excellent in run D, has made sideline to sideline plays like a LB, and has toyed with OTs on the edge at times.

ST MVP: Elliott.

Team MVP: Elliott.  Again, likely to be overtaken by Hurts.

Rookie: Carter

Best 2nd year player: Davis

Most improved: Davis.  Honorable mention Covey.

Disappointment: Gainwell and any DB not named Blankenship.  The modest linear progression and last week protect Hurts from this list.

Best non-draft addition: Swift via trade and Morrow via FA.

They might be playing the worst team in the league and can’t move the ball.

Maybe that's what they've been thinking all week. 🤷‍♂️

Pulled a JJAW out there.

So tired of all the hate on the brotherly shove. It's like watching the news when they talk about it.

It's bad for the game, it's an ugly play.

Like the league gave the agenda to make everyone hate it.

Woody Hayes was ugly too.

Or maybe their play calling has just been garbage 🤷‍♂️

let me just point out, Terry McLaurin is the best offense of player for Washington. He has one target tonight. You know the Bears have 3 out of their 5 starting secondary players out. So he’s being covered by a kid who has no experience and a rookie. And they decided to throw to him one time on a 3 yard out this entire first half. That is just a bad playcalling.

Looks like Washington played their Super Bowl against us because they suck right now. 49 yards of offense vs the Bears lol

Question for you Xs and Os folks. Slay mentioned on his podcast about not playing press in a 2 minute offense being up 7 because it invites one on one coverage and risk a go ball and getting beat deep. Why can't you still play press while having 2 deep Safeties to help over the top while still rushing 4?

A standard play against man is four verticals. The safeties can only help with two.

And their defense can’t get off the field. But that was the story in the second half against the eagles too.

brotherly shove

W.Kentucky is on - might watch that WR instead of the ThNF dreck.

3 catches 97 yards and a TD with 11 minutes left in the second quarter.

It’s just hard to get a read on how good Corley is because of the competition.

I like him though — think he’d be great in the slot here.

Calling it rugby again 🤬

Yeah you're right. I'm just saying they probably really, REALLY tried to play their best only five days ago. Tonight is against the "worst team in the league". They look slow, and flat.

That was PI

Defense i could understand that. However they weren’t good the past 3 weeks so it’s likely they aren’t very good.

They look flat on offense cause beinemy is calling a horrendous game considering the personnel the bears have. the bears have 2 rookie corners out there and down Eddie jackson. So you’d assume Dotson and mclaurin could feast on those corners. Meanwhile beinemy offense has 2 targets between the two. The difference between the commanders right now, and the Bears is the Bears are getting the ball into the best playmakers hands. Moore has been abusing Forbes

Did al Michaels really just say josh Harris is trying to build a new arena for the 76ers with James Harden?? Michaels needs to retire he is clueless

Well Howell isn’t good, and if you’d disrupt his first read he looks bad. Something Desai refuses to do, and let them play pitch and catch for 3.75 quarters. Bears are moving their safeties all around, their LBs are having different assignments and falling off during the play. They’re not all 8 yards off and waiting for the offense to have the ball before they make a decision

I didn’t watch the Ohio St. game, but based on the box score he did fine. I don’t think WK has any step up in competition for the rest of the season.

You should check out Legette from SCAR, definitely a HWS guy that is up your alley.

edit: 3TDs for Corley before the half…

Hard to understand what Washington was thinking taking Forbes over Gonzalez.

Then Bieniemy is an assh0le for calling such a good game against us. :D

Washington went all out against us, lost, then quit.

If WAS just wants to sit in quarters defense, Forbes can do that - the problem is that that defense allows pitch and catch underneath and he needs to tackle.
