I don't know how many times I've watched it now. It's so great. The Phillies have blessed us with some truly iconic memories the last few years. Let's hope they can get a ring this year.

I fell away from baseball long ago but would love to see another parade down broad street

philly sports fans are just a different breed

My guess is that they’ll simply keep Mann on the active roster and he’ll be the 53rd guy. And putting Jurgens on IR now rather than on Monday is because it starts the return clock a week earlier.

Wouldn't the smart move have been to sign Mann to the active roster in conjunction with Jurgens going to IR? You get the guaranteed 4 weeks from Mann and you save his final PS call up? Maybe once he's on the active roster, they would have to release him and wouldn't be able to sign him back to the PS right away?

My guess is that there would be some small financial savings by having him play while under a PS designation rather than as a full blown 53 man roster player.

Also, if you activate him and then waive him with the idea of then squeezing a final call up, he would still have to clear waivers. He most likely would, but why go through the hassle of risking it?

I’ve just realised that the eagles game that starts 9:05pm my time and is on sky sports(Christ almighty) I may miss the start if the early game runs long unless sky think on their feet(haha) and move it to another channel.

I’m asking the Irish and UK posters here but why would sky ever pick a 9:05pm game on a Sunday ?

Wasn't he quoted saying he would never play for the Colts again over a month ago? Guess money is more important then his word

Feels like the orioles tie or win this game in the bottom of the 9th. Last 3 innings the rangers have been flirting with disaster.

although orioles decision to try to steal second might have cost them.

Kelce would continue to play even if his left arm was ripped off.

He’s gonna just topple over after ever snap then

Nah, I’m convinced Kelce would regenerate a new arm.

If Jurgens is serious, let’s just throw the Steelers a draft pick to get Seumalo back

Seems like once he realized that they didn't royally suck he was okay with going back. He probably didn't want to get ran into the ground on a bad team (ie. Saquon) which is understandable nowadays.

Bama can’t block worth a damn , luckily they have a big physical QB  , with a big arm

he needs time to get better , and better blocking

I think you can add Graham Barton from Duke to that list, and a dark horse I would keep an eye on is Kiran Amegadjie from Yale

Barton I see as more of a finished product while Mims, Sua, Morgan and Guyton get by more so on raw athleticism and physical gifts. He’s definitely a well rounded prospect, but I’m not sure he is quite as physically gifted as the guys I mentioned. Obviously he’s athletic and strong, but he’s not as athletic as a guy like Morgan (who is also much longer with the frame to add muscle) and he’s much smaller than a guy like Mims or Sua who probably have 2-3 inches and 25 pounds on Barton.

Overall, I think Barton ends up as a high end guard in the NFL. If we are drafting a first round lineman, I want an OT.

Also, keep reading until the end, I mentioned Amegadjie specifically by name. Agreed that he fits the mold of what Howie was talking about when he said all he needed to do was find athletes with a work ethic for Stoutland to mold.

Reed

Ward

QBs I like

WO

Coleman

Wells

Isaiah Williams

Gasden

Horton

Yeah, DL is totally stacked. Every position too — you can get a NT, 3 tech, traditional DE, or one of these edge hybrids. I like the DE pairs at both Ohio and Penn State. Would love to get any of the 4 of ‘em, but especially JT Tuimoloau as an eventual Brandon Graham replacement.

QB, I have a fascination with KJ Jefferson from Arkansas. Huge, mobile, good arm, decent accuracy, productive both passing and running. Would love to add him as the 3rd QB.

Speaking of Arkansas, I wonder if Rocket Sanders will drop far enough to be in play for the eagles? He would make one hell of a duo with Swift. This OL with Sanders running? Good lord I would not want to be a defender…

Im with you on KJ Jefferson. Id put him in for every QB sneak to protect hurts.

Before we had Hurts and the tales of his squats in the weight room, we were really excellent at running sneaks with Carson Wentz. Everyone is focused on the push, and Hurts, and that seems to be forgotten. Because Wentz was a big strong guy too. And thats what youd be getting with Jefferson.

Agree with the Arkansas stuff.  I lke KJ Jefferson and Rocket Sanders.

Atta boy, Kyle!

Sooooo close to a lead off one pitch Shwarbomb

Leadoff double… please don’t strand him at second.

Shouldn’t have had schwarber running on that with no outs

Yeah no reason for schwarber to be running on that. At least Turner stole second.

PLEASE don’t leave turn stranded at second

Who scripts these opening plays??!

Well that's rough

Horrible job by bohm on that swing. you are swinging at a pitch that you can do nothing with when up 1-0 in the count. That pitch will be there later in the at bat. It was borderline going away from you so you likely are 2-0 or 1-1 and will see a better ball to hit

It didn’t look like Bohm was hustling down the line there, or maybe it was the late camera cut that made it look like he wasn’t.

That always irks me, though, because they teach that in Little League, and I hate seeing a lack of hustle in the majors.
