Your are always right. Just like your Beckham stance last year. He's a loser and stated it then. I was on Hurts being the man from Day 1.

Certainly weren't posting here qbout how you were in on Hurts.

If a tree falls in the woods with no one around does it make a sound?  I guess that's how it goes for your posts.

I remember the few people that believed in Hurts and you certainly weren't one of them.

I hope I'm able to remember you though in a week and a half when Kelce plays though.

Shut up - you are dumb and so are your posts.

19. Jake Elliott Philadelphia Eagles

jake.jpgWhen the Eagles beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII fans took to the streets of Philadelphia and proudly started eating horse crap. This actually built up a good amount of goodwill with local horses and anyone associated with the Eagles franchise.

I got a Lisfranc sprain. Thankfully nothing torn or fractured but hot damn this crap hurts even when I'm just walking around. I get why this messes athletes up for awhile.

From contact sports or something? That's a pretty uncommon injury from just typical exercise, no?

If we have to play mariota at any point this season, we still have this route open….

Pretty sure if he'd been flagged once or twice he'd have adjusted and lined up properly.

Yep. Can't blame him for taking advantage. Clearly the refs were told to let them play.

Nope. My toddler was throwing a tantrum and I tripped down my front stairs trying to wrangle him and landed hard on the foot. It's officially the lamest way to get that type of injury as far as I can tell.

Because as the color analyst for the national broadcast, that's his job... to be impartial.

But, the issue isn't the partiality piece.  He tries to force narratives that aren't always there in the actual game.   He loved to talk about the size of the Eagles' WRs and the jump balls and being like a group of power forwards... and you just throw the ball up to them and let them get it like a rebound.  Except that was NOT how the Eagles offense actually functioned.  He would start the broadcast with this idea and push it the whole game.  It was a false narrative and he talked about it constantly.

What a color analyst really needs to do is to talk to both fan bases, as well as the generic group about what they are seeing on the field.  They can talk about the players they like and what they like about them, but there needs to be guys on both sides getting that adulation.  He can't get overly excited when one team makes a big play.  Or focus primarily on one what side is doing right, or doing wrong all the time.  Usually when one side does something wrong, it’s because the other side did something right.  Talk about that.  Or talk about how both teams take advantage of mistakes.   It's not an easy job to do, but I believe there are better people to do it than running out the same old tired people.  Al Michaels' time has passed.  They need someone new in there.  He should be retired.  And if he's not willing to do it himself, the networks should do it for him.

I respectfully disagree. That is like saying that journalists are supposed to be impartial.  Media is an audience accumulating business … ideally with the mix of demographics that advertisers desire.  I am in an undesirable demographic for advertisers.  You are in a more desirable demographic than I am in but you are on the border of undesirable.

Yeah then Hutchinson would have wrecked Mahomes

To be honest, I didn't think it was that great.  The music is pretty meh.

Biggest mistake the Eagles have made this season is bringing back the same team that did lame Super Bowl hype videos last year.

New season = new cast

The problem is that they didn't have anyone else really besides Hutchinson. It did make mad again about the stupid piss poor turf in the Super Bowl.

It's up to you. If you want to keep track of them, then I'll include my bonus

Mine is pretty close. Was dealing with a painful nerve and muscle issue in my back. Was at the gym picked up a 25 pound dumbbell then got a sharp shooting pain in my lower back down my right leg. had to do PT for 3 months to finally get back to where i was prior.

Sorry, thought you meant the tie breakers like "Hurts wins MVP” or "DeVonta 1000 yards”

All good. I saw that thread you are talking about. I'm pretty sure I posted my predictions in there as well

Depends on the journalist and the job of that journalist.  A 'reporter' should be impartial.   A 'columnist' is supposed to be opinionated and share that opinion.

One of the main issues we have today is that 'reporters' constantly impose their opinions on the stories they are reporting on.

The job of the color analyst is to analyze what is happening on the field, not take a side.  He can share his opinion on whether a call is good or bad, whether the play call was smart or not, but he should not have an obvious rooting interest.  That's where the 'impartial' piece comes in.  If he can't do that, then he's failing in his job.

Whoa - First, take it easy nothing is better than geriatric consumers for the NFL.  Second, just because Iggles Phan shops at Booths Corner on the weekends doesn't mean he's bordering on undesirable.
