Add on it is not just last year under Kyle Shanahan that he’s had a lot of injuries at quarterback. It’s been that way for most of his tenure with the Niners.

Career .530 coach and a terrible in game coach.

The strange thing is that restructuring a contract rarely saves money from one year to the next unless there are a bunch of void years involved. It makes zero sense to restructure a contract to push money into next season to only create cap space to roll over, as they cancel out.

What’s stranger is when I checked right as this restructure was announced they had 29.72 mil of cap space in 2023 and it bumped to 41.5 mil (11.78 space created by restructure). Their cap in 2024 before the structure was over by 9.8 mil. Now it’s over by 24.85 mil.  So basically they’d have had 20 mil in 2024 if they just rolled over the 29.72 into 2024. Now it’s $17 mil.

Castellanos comes through.  Need more of that moving forward.  2 out rally.

What irritated me with niners fans was your quarterback got hurt because your head coach thought it was a smart idea to use his third string tight end to block reddick who had 19.5 sacks in 2022 and finished top 5 in DPOY voting. Add on not just have the third string tight end block him but call a deep slow developing play.

He also had a comment about if you’re going to run your quarterback up the middle you’re eventually gonna get him hurt. you know the play that Trey Lance got hurt on? They called for him to run up the middle.

One area to look out for is tackling/conditioning. Rhamondre Stevenson is a tank and a load to bring down. I can see him wearing the defense down a little bit. With the Patriots having next to nothing at WR as well as crappy weather, I can see them leaning heavily on him.

And Elliott too. I’m not worried about him but a combo of Stevenson/Elliott is some big dudes to take to the ground all game. Now that I think about it, it’s going to be tough if Patriots turn this into a physical game for a team that did no live tackling all summer to turn it around to play on Thursday. Have the ice tubs ready.

Makes sense with thomson reasoning to move him down. his swing rate has been ridiculous. He’s swinging at way too many pitches completely out of the zone and with a lot of guys in scoring positions it has led to a bunch of DPs and runners left on base due to strikeouts.

Phillies will be in rain delay soon.   Storm over my head right now is heading towards the stadium.

Yup, makes no sense unless they are creating cap room for this year to make a SB run. No reason to restructure to create 2024 cap room.

Nice!  5 runs... on 4 hits... all with 2 outs.

He was on the injury report with illness, which could be anything.  If he plays, how Davis performs will be key.  Could see Marlon T as active.

Schwarber up to .196 BA

Part of me wonders if they are gonna sign aiyuk to an extension. He’s eligible already as he’s entering 4th year. They picked up his 5th year option which is $14.1 mil cap number

It’s been a rough couple of months, but I’m looking forward to hanging out with you knuckleheads all season.

Chase feels like the guy who leaves the commanders and then somehow his next team he stays healthy. Like hicks did here then stayed healthy in Arizona.

And that place is sold out tomorrow. I don’t think the plumbing will be able to handle it. It’s going to be Americas Chernobyl.

Pat Mcafee is everywhere , heck of a job selling his product , making about 18 million a year .

Hard to say what they will do. A lot depends on this year. If u don't go anywhere now, does handing the current roster new deals make any sense?

A collision of old and new media.
