Now that I've watched the game I'm thinking Nick is gone today.  That was a pathetic performance.  Certainly not all his fault but in the end you have to cut the head off the snake.  I suppose you could pick Howie but think Lurie sticks with Howie.

I’m relieved this season is over. If a move has to be made, it’s best to know now. We’re already a week and a day behind everyone else.

I said this same thing to a few friends. It needs to end. Not sure about Nick but two cordinators need to be replaced

Didn't watch the game, as out of country.  What a meltdown of this team.  Coaches are a large part of the problem.  Players also did not perform to their ability.  Some heads are going to roll, coaches and players.  DC and OC are at the top of the list.  HC maybe.  If there is a strong candidate available, the FO probably will cut the loss and move on with a brand new staff.

Glad i didn't stay up. I knew what performance they'd put out tonight and didn't want to do that to myself.

I honestly don't see any way back for sirianni. He's the guy in charge and ultimately he's responsible for what flavour of crap is being served on the field.

I can see one way back for Sirianni.

Siri agrees to major changes to his staff. The D coordinator is a given but if he can deliver Reich as the offensive coordinator, he could convince Lurie and Howie to give him one more year to turn around the schematic issues on O this year. Now Panthers were awful on O this year as well but I think the FO respects him a lot and would give Siri an experienced sounding board and brains to adjust on the fly next year. Lurie and Howie have seen Reich be successful with both a RPO offense as well as responding to adversity so I’m thinking that may buy Siri a year.

If you are firing the HC, then the GM has to go too.  You can't have the FO get away with not investing in LB and S, and then see teams spend the 2nd half of the season picking on those positions.  Lurie won't want Howie gone, but it has to be up for discussion.  Throwing HCs under the bus every 3 to 4 years isn't fair any more, the FO need to own some of the bad contracts and signings.

That performance was the season. Good in parts, but the rest. Not good.  Hurts is kind of predictably dumb to watch; the kid can't cope with a blitz and the skill players are not engaged either.  The D gassed, in part because it's old. No more Cox/Graham; the team has to turn the page, desperately.

If Sirianni gets fired, he gets fired, but as I say, we are at the point where the whole org has to get fired too.  The team either needs a philosophical change top to bottom, or some work at making what is there better with Siri and Howie in charge. The owner can't keep double dipping to keep his boy safe.  Those contacts to Slay/Bradberry look appalling right now.  That ain't on Sirianni. Nor is seeing Justin Evans as a starter at S.

Hey guys, you can stop playing possum now.

Guys?

Hey guys??

DGunn's take on Hurts in the post game is right on.  We cant ignore the QB in all of this.

Thus team has the talent. They don't have the coordinators. The coordinators need to go. The defensive play calling is the worst I have ever seen.

They don’t have the talent on defense. They just don’t. And I agree the coaching hasn’t been good enough there but they are so bad in every sense on defense.

It's amazing- after the last two off seasons- Brown trade, Bradberry and CJ signings, drafting Carter and Smith- Howie was the master.  The mighty has fallen.  Lack of DE depth and zero back 7 talent.  Howie has to be held accountable.  I'm sure there have been and will continue to be very uncomfortable conversations with Howie and both Lurie's.

What draft pick we get?

22?

One player I’d look into trading is Jordan Davis. You can find a 2 down block eater cheap in FA

One of the biggest concerns going forward with Hurts is his teammates stopped caring about him. A week ago when Okereke jumped over the line pre-snap on a tush push and kinda shoved Hurts, no reaction from his teammates. Last night, Lavonte David gave him a helmet hit while sliding. Again, no reaction from his teammates. It feels like he lost the locker room as much as Nick did which is even worse since he’s the $250M QB

There's only "no way back" because frankly, he got screwed. As a GM, there's literally no situation in which you let a young head coach be paired up with assistants younger than himself on his first staff replacement, unless you're sure he's top 5. One of the biggest complaints this season was about the defensive coordinator pick, but the Eagles literally wanted Fangio and had him in the building, but got screwed over, twice, by Johnathan Gannon.

Then, on top of that, because we were in the Super Bowl, we had a disadvantage because a lot of the league had the jump on the best candidates. Howie absolutely shares blame in this. If the reports are that the Eagles organization was involved in the selection of the defensive scheme, then they were also involved in Fangio being here. So if they had the original plan of pairing him up with a veteran coordinator, why did they later let him get paired with one younger than himself?

This is definitely a structural failure of the team. The issues Roseman ignored both in terms of the final staff and the roster showed up all over. It's insane that Sirianni is in danger of being fired without having a single coordinator older than himself his tenure, and Roseman is getting none of the blame.

Doug had Jim Schwartz and Frank Reich, from day ONE, and if anyone remembers, there was a lot of talk about that being an organizational hire. And Doug had player experience to lean on.

The Super Bowl is more or less what screwed us over this year in terms of candidates.

Yup. He's a bust until he proves otherwise. Doesn’t even have a TFL since Week 2 and gives nothing in pass rush. People can’t even hang their hat on "well actually he’s fine because he stops the rush” anymore with him

Dexter lawrence made all pro again I loved him coming out of the draft and thought Jordan could have a similar effect and the first few weeks he looked like he was on his way but hes been really disappointing.

Trading him might not be a bad idea...

Quez Watkins with his "crap I’ve always been ready for the call” performance.

80% of the snaps, 3 receptions for 12 yards

In going to let Bill Belicheck kick the tires before we trade anyone except that ho Quez Watkins

The guy flat out stinks.
