Absolutely, BUT Nabby would throw anything 5 yards and under into the dirt half the time.*

*Exaggerated for effect but man did he suck at it.

When he had Westbrook, McNabb was quite fond of the check down or screen.

Eh, that's not entirely accurate. Short motions like that at least help to indicate man v zone. Even in man though, defenders might pattern match so realignment isn't always gonna be a tell, but no movement whatsover can be mean the chances of zone are higher than what you might've expected pre-motion, and a defender following motion means a higher chance of man. Not a 100% guarantee (as we saw, this ends up being cover-3 seems like), but something to consider. Yes, crossing the QB is a better indicator, but it's not as worthless of a motion as the tweet impies. Many teams utilize short motion like this, including the Niners (but to a lesser extent.)

Yup…not sure why they didn’t just point out how dumb of a decision on the throw that was.

This is great

You know who the eagles are? Tobias Harris. Sometimes tobias can be absolutely great. All star like. Sometimes he’s out there looks lost and scores like 3-7 points and you want to just kill him. But most of the time he’s somewhere in the middle and frustrates the hell out of you.

About the only thing the run well

Tyrese Maxey is quietly becoming an elite NBA player.

Are you sure they’re not more like this Tobias?

Embiid on track to a 3rd straight scoring title and 2nd straight MVP.  Maxey can hopefully make All Star but it's tough with some of the other guards out there in the East he might be left out despite the great season.

Sixers now 19-8 after beating the best team in the league.

I dunno, skipping all forms of OTA and mini camp and having the lightest TC around just to go full practice all week this late in the season seems a bit backwards.

If it helps Brown tackle... worth it.

Media is starting to push back

Sirianni just waffles and doesn't really inspire any confidence that they will be able to sort this crap out.

He also said that they've never called that formation/play before the CMC predicted.

BS

TBF, McCaffrey said Hurts would go left, but he went right, had he gone left where there was a giant hole, it’s likely a TD.

I think you can probably count at least 10 dumb play calls each game, maybe even 3 or 4 REALLY dumb ones.

Let’s count the screen where Smitty is blocking for Goedert, they can shove that one back up Nicks arse, and Smitty would likely agree.

Media NEEDS to push back.  Calling a play where your top hope is to get a penalty called, with the game on the line, is moronic.  I don't think that really is how it went down.  I think that's the cover story... and thinking that cover story is better than the truth is even more moronic than if that were the real story.

If the reality is that Hurts made a bad read and threw the ball in a bad spot.  Say it.  Let Jalen say it first if you want (he was in front of the media after the game), but just say what the truth is.  Jalen says he's accountable.   Let him say that it was a bad decision by him... OR... if it was a bad call by the OC, then say that.  We were hoping for a different look than we got, and it didn't work out the way we had hoped.  Don't come up with a moronic cover story like this, with the hope that there would be a penalty called.

All it does is make it worse.

Embiid is the best player in the city and it was cute that because people were pissed at him for some playoff shortcomings anyone for a second thought another athlete in this city was better. Embiid is light years ahead of Hurts right now. Harper is probably second best.

@mattwill

Giants 28

Eagles 24

Devito 4 TDs

True, but have you noticed how poor the Eagles tackle early on in the year? Has to be some relation to how they practice.

Break out the black jerseys with a green helmet. That will fix it.

Let's fight for years for the kelly green and wear it twice, great

Not only that but of all days to wear green, any shade of green, Christmas is a good day for that. You're going to have A LOT of fans getting Kelly Green merchandise that day too and they trot out the black uniforms.

I guess it makes sense with how this team is right now, ass backwards and dumb with a lot of things

Harper contributes in the playoffs…

Can anyone tell me who the OC is for the league best 49ers?

The beat writers always do, they ask very confrontational questions every press conference.

SF lost OC Mike McDaniel to the Dolphins for the 2022 season.  They had no OC in 2022 and lost their passing game coordinator, the closest thing they had to an OC, Bobby Slowik to the Texans as OC.

Is their offense reeling?  Is Purdy having a regression year?

Brian Johnson may not be good, but the angst is misplaced on him.  The coach/QB combo aren’t getting it done and it’s not a green OC’s fault.
