The way the eagles are playing they’ll lose to anyone.

Sorry NY and AZ are no where near the caliber of the last 3 teams that the Eagles played.

I mostly agree, but I’ve had a weird feeling about Kyler and AZ for a while now.

He gave us fits last year.

Read this in comments on Eagles Intsagram page. Cracked me up.

Did you forget that this team lost to the Jets?  Any given Sunday.   If the Eagles crap the bed again... they could lose to Temple.

Certainly the Eagles are the better and more talented team, but that was also the case against the Seahawks. I know the circumstances were different, but right now there really isn’t a given for an "absolutely sure” victory.
The game that would seem "most certain” is this first game against the Giants… We will see how they perform and then we might be able to a better educated guess for the next game.

Dodgers = Mets

Not really.

At least the Dodgers win their division and make the playoffs every year.

They may choke in the playoffs but at least they get there.

I think people bought into all that "Eagles are lucky" nonsense when they were 10-1. There were certainly things that went in our favor in each of the wins, but people shrugged off plays that weren't lucky. They continue to do the latter after the 3-game losing streak. All that talk about the refs favoring the Eagles all year by opposing teams' fans seemed to quiet down after the last 3 games. All the big calls/non-calls seemed to hurt us in December. I don't believe in any underlying conspiracy, just the law of averages. The Eagles are as good as their record, as are most teams at this point in the season.

It's pointless to go full doom & gloom just because of a tough stretch in the regular season. A 1st round bye would have been great. HFA is great. But winning in the postseason is more important than either. If we have a healthy Maddox, Slay, Dickerson, Lane, Cunningham, and Smith in the postseason, I like our chances to win --- even on the road.

The Eagles play recently is the caliber of the Giants and AZ at the very least.  We just lost to Drew Lock because our offense is dead in the water after the first drive or first qtr, and the defense is one of the worst in the league, if not the worst.  Giving up a 92 yard drive to Lock with a Rookie WR abusing our veteran, $12 million CB.

Bradberry needs to be held accountable and benched if at all possible (Maddox returns?). He’s been terrible & his replacement can’t be much worse, can he?

@mattwill

I’m not sure why I am still doing this, or why I think we curb stomp the Giants, but…

Eagles 34

Giants 13

Hurts with 4 total TDs

Jobe/Ricks and Ringo starting?  Did I read Bradberry was targeted 6 times last week and gave up 6 receptions and  TD?  Don't think it gets worse than that.  Though, it appears the lockering room is loosing faith in the coaching so sitting Bradberry now could have other repercussions.  I have no doubt the NY Italian Stallion is going to go after Bradberry relentlessly.

I’d start Ringo and Ricks on the outside. At the very least, let them rotate with JB.

Baseball needs to fix this, they need a salary cap like football.   Small market teams cannot possibly compete with a team that's willing to spend $1B+ to sign every possible free agent in the offseason.  Baseball is a joke.

Taking Bradberry out because of his play should send a message. He’s been getting toasted and that can’t be put mainly on the coaches. I think trying to roll with the younger guys right now can’t be much worse & that way we can also see what they are capable of. You have three easier opponents to see if they can hold up.

Good Morning Blog.  Just checking in to see if Tatergeddon is over yet?

It's not just the rough stretch, the rough stretch is finally the shoe dropping after playing terribly all season long. There has been only one game that this team played well, the Dolphins game. Every other game the offense doesn't do anything in the first half, the defense desperately tries to hang on, and MAYBE the offense figures it out at half but it usually isn't until halfway through the third quarter.

This team has played this way all season long but earlier in the year, they were able to claw their way back. The last three games the offense has been bad all game instead of just the first half. A lot of people were fooled because they were scoring a lot, but most of those points were in the second half after struggling to do anything for 2-2.5 quarters.

I haven't enjoyed a single game besides Miami this year, it's not a fun team to watch. They're a decent team, not a super bowl team.

As a fan I wouldn't mind.  Though I don't think there is a message to be sent.  Most of our defensive starters could be benched for poor play.  Why single out Bradberry?  Our run D is just as bad as Bradberry's coverage right now.  Pass rush can't get home.  Middle of the field is a playground for any receiver.  Benching Bradberry would be an arbitrary move at this point.

Even with a salary cap, the same big spenders would still spend more.  Small market teams would do everything they can to just hit the cap floor, large market teams would pay any of the fees associated with exceeding the cap.  Even with a hard cap, it would likely be in the $200 million range and teams like Pittsburgh would never get close.  Money talks no matter what.

I hear ya. The entire defense as a group has been atrocious and there a couple of players that could be benched due to their play. Obviously you can’t bench everyone, especially since you don’t have adequate replacements. I think Bradberry is different though because there actually "could / might” be a better option, also for the future. There could be upside here.
The D-line could rotate more, especially more snaps for N. Smith.

Who knows, maybe the D isn’t fixable at all this year. Would be nice if they would at least look average..

Benching Bradberry could upset his teammates.

On the other hand if they feel he sucks just like we do then they would have no problem with it deep down.

Benching players that aren't performing should never be a political decision.   If his teammates are upset with that... too bad.   NFL is supposed to be a meritocracy.  It isn't, but generally when it isn't, that is when things go bad with teams.

@mattwill

This team comes out on a mission - restoring Christmas cheer for Eagles fans worldwide…

Eagles: 37

Giants: 13

Bonus: Eagles defense gets 3 turnovers.

I’m very confident the Eagles will win but it’ll probably be ugly. I don’t think they just snap out of this thing they’re in because I think the issues run deep and it’s not just a cold spell. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Eagles start off the game with a couple 3 and outs and the boos rain down. Wouldn’t be shocked if the giants go up 7-0 in the game either. I think they’ll win an ugly sloppy game where the team looks like crap so no one can feel better about them even after a win.
