If the contact is normal, I have no issue. But some of the helmet shots someone like Hurts takes would not be acceptable in the pocket. I appreciate the NFL wants to make the game safer, but they need to protect all QBs in the same way. We all know that Saint Patty of Mahomes has a lower tolerance for illegal contact than other QBs do.  Dakota is  the same.

My problem with it comes when the quarterbacks try to game the rules in their favor. You can’t half ass a slide at the last second but try to get an extra couple of yards with a defender closing in. Have to choose one or the other. Give yourself up while sacrificing a couple of yards with a clean, early slide or stay running and take a shot from the defender. Mahomes is the king of doing this by tap dancing near the sideline trying to draw a late hit. It’s terrible.

Dallas outside of their building just isn't the same team.

Thats why the eagles need to win the division...if the eagles can't go to the super bowl they can't either

Jags are the same old jags

Miami should be up 16-7. I don’t know why so many coaches don’t take the points and go for it on low percentage plays. I get the upside of TDs, but on 4th and 4 or 5, it’s not an easy make. Those missed points can come back to haunt you.

And if you’re going to be aggressive, shouldn’t they have tried for 2?

Anyone saying this is smart when the whole idea the rule exists is to keep the "smart" guy safe should shut the hell up. I hope Dak gets suplexed, and I still want Kenny Pickett to get his receipt from college. Taylor Heinicke deserves all of that on repeat.

dolphins better scores on this opening drive

Agree. Mahomes absolutely wants to suck defenders into hitting him when he is by the sideline so he can do the Lebron or for them to allow him to get extra yards.  A player shouldn't be able to double dip in that scenario

3 years into his career, I still feel very confident when I said Lawrence was over hyped coming out of college.

surprised about how empty their stands are considering its south florida

all this miscommunication with miami's offense

To be fair, Dallas is also getting away with holding/PI consistently. Shocking, I know.

Lawrence was double teamed and still blew that up. Hate the pitch on 3rd and 1 anyway.

Few things as frustrating as long-developing east-west runs on 3rd and short.

Stupid play.

Dolphins blow. Run it up the gut twice. Stop getting cute.

Sanders' kicks could be good from at least 10 more yards... maybe even 15.  Big leg.

16-7 Miami.

Yup.  Up the gut, play action for a big play, or just run a sneak.  Maybe off tackle.
