HOF is almost guaranteed for Kelce as it is. He has the pedigree with all-pro and pro bowl selections.

The bigger question is how long it takes him to get in.

All I know is he better wear the mummers outfit when he gives his induction speech.

Eagles HAVE to go get him.

Cause... ya know, he's available.   Howie asleep at the wheel.  How is he not already signed?

I dont really know who Jack Jones is. If he is so talented what did he do to get released? Must have been bad.

I can’t believe the Giants have a beeline for Caleb Williams. Really don’t want to deal with that guy for the next 10-15 years.

It's OK he's going to suck because he cried in his mom's arms after a game.

He obviously has no toughness or leadership.

(sarcasm btw)

The Game Score Predictions window for the Chiefs game is open

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  So far over the course of the season 97 different EMB posters have made at least one prediction.

For anyone who missed the results of the first 9 weeks, the link below takes you to a recap of those results

Please put me down for:

Eagles:  37
Indigenous leaders: 35

Bonus:  Eagles miss on a 2 point conversion somewhere along the way.

MAYYYYYBE a bit of a head case. Was benched to start Sunday (some kind of infraction I'm sure) and spent most of the 1st quarter Sunday on the bench with a hood over his head rather than standing on the sideline. Bellichick said bye.

During his rookie season, Jones was suspended by the Patriots while he was on injured reserve for reportedly being late to a rehab session. This past summer, Jones was arrested at Logan International Airport on gun charges, which were later dropped after the corner agreed to a settlement with the Suffolk County District Attorney that included one year of pretrial probation. The second-year player's off-field issues also go back to his collegiate days when he was arrested and pled guilty to commercial burglary in 2018 for breaking into a Panda Express in Santa Paula, California.

Jones recently missed a team curfew and the last two weeks has been visibly disengaged from coaches and teammates on New England's sideline.

So yeah he has off the field issues.

Safe to say every eagles fan should realize that the team will have no interest. And yet, here we are.

Yeah regardless of need I can't imagine this is someone they will want to bring into the locker room.

Midway point polling:

1. Who gets more catches the rest of the way out of the following players: Olamide, Julio, Quez?

2. Does Rashaad Penny get a bigger role in the second half of the season?

3. If you could go back in time and swap Nolan Smith for Joey Porter Jr, would you?

4. Does Swift have more rushing yards in the second half of the season than he did in the first half?

5. If you could take a 13-4 record right now, would you take it or no?

1. Julio -- they had a bye week to try to get him up to speed, too.  He's gonna get some targets.

2. No on Penny.  I love the argument that we're 'saving him', but I don't think that's what's happening.

3. I really want to be a homer and say 'No Way Would I Ever Swap Nolan Because Howie Is The Greatest!' but it would be amazing to have better depth at CB, so yes.  However, I suspect Smith will be OK, but may take a season or two to get up to speed.

4. Yes on more rushing yards.  Jurgens is coming back healthy, and he's a fantastic run blocker.

5. Sigh, no.  I'm worried about the Lions. (And, by the way, this is the time I've ever said / thought / written that "I'm worried about the Lions" in my entire time on this earth).  The Lions have a cupcake schedule and I'm afraid they could be a 14 or 15 win team.  13 wins should be good enough to get us past the 49ers / Cowboys / other teams.

@mattwill

Eagles 34

Chiefs 31

Bonus: Eagles win on the final drive of the game

Eh I’ve seen TJ McConnell cry with his family and coach Sean Miller after being eliminated by Wisconsin. the dude is tough as nails. I don’t like seeing him cry with his mom, but I’m not gonna hold that against him because I’ve seen some players go through the University of Arizona cry and wind up being good/great at the next level

Let me just point out, his offense is averaging 43.2 points per game. They have lost four games because their defense has given up 43 ppg over their last 7. Cal, asu and Wazzu have worse defensive talent then usc and yet somehow still somewhat better on D than usc. I would be frustrated as F too. He cried I probably would’ve went off on everybody in the defensive room and Riley for not being just competent

I really have less issues with him crying. I’ve seen enough athletes do it. Embiid did it after the raptors game and then went on to win an mvp. William could’ve given up playing after they lost to Utah about four weeks ago and said nothing left to do and not putting my health on the line when I’m the top pick. they knew they weren’t going to the playoffs as soon as that happened. Heisman chase was over too. We’ve seen stuff like that. instead he still out there busting his ass trying to win games with a defense that has no chance. Like I respect the hell out of him for still going out there and playing with really nothing to play for that’s to his advantage. There’s no playoffs. There’s no Heisman. All it is is that he wants to win with the team and keep playing. Granted do think he likely sits out the bowl game which that close to draft i get it more

It's more than the crying to me. It's the fetal position in his moms arms, having his mom paint his nails, saying he wants part ownership of any team that drafts him, the comments about the ND student and referring to himself as a lion (a week before the fetal cry no less) etc.

His talent is undeniable. I just think he's already crowned himself GOAT and has an attitude I don't like.

Kelce may not be a 1st ballot HoF because of the position he plays, but his impact on the game has been big and we rightly, take him for granted a bit.  Not many Centers can do what he does and he showed that being smaller than historically average at the position is not an impediment to being an all pro.  Let alone arguably playing his best season at 35.  He's a true unicorn prospect at his position

@mattwill

I feel delicious about 34-24 E A G L E S.

My bonus is 100+ yards rushing for the Swift, not named Taylor.

Yeah, his attitude and arrogance can be off putting for certain, but it’s his performances against good defenses that are more alarming.  In five games against top-25 defenses,  51.4% completion, 172.0 ypg and six TD’s to six INT’s.

Ownership stuff bothers me more than the crying. That’s just ridiculous for any rookie coming into the league to ask for. That’s like a brady thing with what he’s accomplished or Peyton manning.

he can paint his nails, I don’t really care. He can wear lipstick if he thinks it helps him play better.

my biggest worry with him is him being able to play within the structure of the offense and not go play ground style trying to win games at the nfl. Can do that routinely in college and get away with it. Even mahomes doesn’t play ground style to most of his wins. He uses it when he has too. Feels like Williams relies on that more than he should. Can’t do that in the nfl. Not that he is manziel but manziel relied way too heavily on playground style (besides not learning playbook and a million other things)

I was certain RGIII was going to transform the Redskins and HATED that they drafted him. We all know how that worked out. They didn't help things by destroying his knee rather than letting him heal up but just an example of QB who people thought had it all.

Saquan was believed to be a generational RB. We can argue the draft resources used by the NYG to get him but another player I thought was going to give the Eagles fits.

HATED CeeDee going to Dallas. While he's been on a tear and has given the Eagles fits, he hasn't dominated like I thought.

Granted Saquan and CeeDee aren't playing QB so not the best comparison but point is, our NFCE rivals are always going to get good players. The Redskins spent nearly a decade picking in the top 10 and just traded away two of their recent 1st round picks.

When I look at Caleb Williams and how he carries himself compared to Jalen Hurts (even in college) it's apparent he's not on the same level as Hurts from a leadership standpoint. I can't say it enough how impressed I am with Hurts. It's funny. I was, and still am a Carson Wentz supporter so I wasn't buying in to Hurts after his rookie year but when you look at him and his maturity and the way he carries himself you just can't help but be totally impressed. I crave authenticity in people and I'm often described as an old soul and that's exactly what Jalen Hurts is. He's an old soul and doesn't fit in with his generation. I didn't think he was authentic at first because he seemed like a quote waiting to happen but it's just who he is and how he was raised. So happy the Eagles have him.

Off field issues never scared the Eagles away before.

No player worth anything is making it to the Eagles who are last in waiver wire claims
