Eagles 23

Cardinals 20

Surprising absolutely no one, Eagles players do dumb stuff, Eagles coaches call dumb plays, and the stupid Cardinals stay in the game. It comes down to the final drive. Elliot wins it.

Wed/Thu/Fri if the game is on Sunday.

We played on Monday last week, so the reports were Thu/Fri/Sat.

I think people are underestimating just how bad this Cardinals defense is. Yeah, the Eagles will inevitably do their dumb crap, but there is no way they score any less than 27+ at home against probably the least talented defense in the NFL. If it weren't for Gannon I'd say this is a guaranteed 30+ day for the offense.

@mattwill

Eagles 31, Cards 16

The Eagles are playing like they aren't interested in winning games right now, but the Cards actually aren't.

Bonus -- Kyler Murray with more passing and running yards than Hurts.

You're remembering too much of the first 5 weeks of the season where they scored a majority of their first half points. Since the bye week they hadn't  scored more than 10 in the first half until Monday. They scored 7 or less in 4/5 games (Seahawks game they scored 10).

This is why you can't just point at stats and say this team is good. The offense is not good in the first half and hasn't been for over a month

Cool, now do the defense. Show me how they were keeping us in all these games heading into halftime.

It’s wild, like there’s no check against an obvious blitz… is Jalen allowed to audible out of a seemingly dead play?

Sure, with hindsight Shanahan should have ran more - but he typically doesn’t have a problem forgetting about the run and is an excellent counterpuncher tactically to get back to his brand of ball. BAL leaping out after the half and the SF OL injuries sealed the deal, but schematically the ravens were doing something before that to both make Purdy play and in tight windows.

The right side of the Niners O-Line has been a weakness/problem all year.  When they run successfully it is to the left not the right.  So when the injuries happened to the left side of the O-Line in the game Shanahan was out of options.  Their RT gave up 9 pressures and 2 sacks in the game.  That’s how bad he is.

This team is stupid..Goedert for a possible td

Yup looks like it was a designated throw off pre snap read, hurts should have come off that 1st read and adjusted to what the safety was doing.

Yup, its unexcusable to not have built in hot reads, bit its previously mentioned that Siri doesnt have built in hots.

Id be interested to see a link explaining that if true, seems asinine...

I think Smitty is a football genius - just let him handle the hot route, if the coaches can’t coach and Jalen needs to be walked through the read.

But really it’s…

They do have a built-in hot read.  Hurts scrambles around the DE to the right, then lobs the ball out of bounds because there are no receiving targets within 60 yards.

Ok here ya go, these are the scores at the half for all games:

vs NYG: 20-3

vs SEA: 10-3

vs DAL: 6-24

vs SF: 6-14

vs BUF: 7-17

vs KC: 7-17

vs DAL: 14-17

vs WAS: 10-17

vs MIA: 17-10

vs NYJ: 14-9

vs LAR: 17-14

vs WAS: 10-17

vs TB: 13-3

vs MIN: 10-7

vs NE: 16-14

By my count, I only see 3 games (SEA, SF, and maybe NYG) where the defense "kept us in the game" only to collapse in the second half from being gassed or whatever you said.

Some bowl games today - but I assume anybody interesting draftwise (to me at least) will be sitting out.

Those routes are so lazy , no creativity

Where will Wilson play next season? I'm going to say Patriots, Steelers, or back to Seahawks.

No chance he's going back to Seattle. Those bridges have been reduced to ash.

Pretty sure Beanie Bishop will be playing for my Mountaineers later today.  Sucks that Drake Maye is out, but he probably wouldn't have thrown at Bishop anyway

1st team All Big 12 and a legit cover guy

All the receivers run the exact same route.  No wonder the offensive players are pissed.

Has Sirianni ever been specifically asked about the lack of sight adjustments/ hot routes in the offense by anyone in the Philly media? He's on the morning show every week and I don't recall Decamara or Richie ever asking him.

So that didn't take long

Cmon guys.  You know the Eagles have the answer to the blitz in that stupid ass bubble screen that either gets our Wrs killed or picked off 🙄

He was asked it by Kempski yesterday and gave a very long non-answer to the question.
