That has to be one of the strangest seasons for a football team I can remember.  Give up 70 points to Miami, start 1-5, win 5 in a row, then lose 3 of 4, and then let's bench our QB bc he might get hurt and we're f'ed.  I know we feel like we have it bad in Philly right now, but Denver is a trainwreck.

Wednesday Morning Predictions Update

13 predictions recorded thus far.  10 for an Eagles win and 3 for a Cardinals win.  The Average Predicted Score is Eagles 30 Cardinals 20.

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  So far over the course of the season 138 different EMB posters have made at least one prediction.

A list of the predictions is presented below, sorted alphabetically by the name of the predictor.  If you don't see your name there, then I either missed yours or you haven't submitted one yet.

@mattwill  You appear to have attributed my pick to @jwill2420

Four months until the draft.  Found this listing.  We are top-10 in draft capital. Even better, Dallas is near the bottom.

There is no hot route or anything of that nature.  There is no pre snap read of where the pressure is coming or if its 3rd and long, being prepared for a hot route if the pressure is coming.

Where will Wilson play next season? I'm going to say Patriots, Steelers, or back to Seahawks.

No way he goes back to Seattle

Pretty sure Beanie Bishop will be playing for my Mountaineers later today.  Sucks that Drake Maye is out, but he probably wouldn't have thrown at Bishop anyway

1st team All Big 12 and a legit cover guy

I wanted to see Cooper the Aggies LB, but he declared like 2 weeks ago, but a 2pm bowl game is probably all that I can handle.

And an alternative draft value chart included…

Totally hosed on the JD tradeup comparatively.

Those routes are so lazy , no creativity

Nope, it's all Hurts fault. There's nothing else to see here, ignore the imbecile's behind the curtain.

Wilson counts $35 million in dead cap in 2024 and $50 million in dead cap in 2025. Woof. That's got to be one of the worst trades ever.

@mattwill

iggles - 33

red budgies -24

bonus - In pregame warm ups, Gannon is seen screaming "Were going to fakken gut these guys"! to his waterboy. Kyler Murray, is late to the field because he was immersed in Call of Duty. Shaq Leonard was seen at the concession stand, as he thought that was the proper run defence gap to shoot. Ben VanSoAssMan makes Eagles first full wrap up tackle of the year. Oz and Boston Scott seen dancing in mosh pit, at local punk venue.

Davis is a long term DL run stopper. That is more valuable than a very good safety. Last night Hamilton had a ball thrown to him and a deflection that fell into his hands. How does this make him the second coming of Ed Reid?

Hamilton is the far superior player. He may make all-pro this year or at least the Pro Bowl.  He is an every down chess piece.  Davis is a one dimensional part-time player.  He plays anywhere from 35-55% of the snaps.  Started out very well this year and last year then fades as the season progresses.  Would have to think the overwhelming number of NFL execs would take Hamilton if given a choice,

Would you rather utilize the 13th overall pick for a run-stopping DT or a very good safety? I like Davis, I think he can continue to develop, but if he doesn't and he caps out as just a good run-stopping DT then that goes down as a bad pick.

Possible but also take into account the career trajectory of big men versus skill positions. Look at Javon Hargrave's career trajectory. It takes time for big DTs to grow into the position. Your analysis sounds very similar to years of people carping on how Graham was a bust early in his career and how the Eagles should have taken Earl Thomas. Not so sure that NFL execs don't understand this based on what DT and DEs get paid versus safeties. I get the snapshot in time that you are taking but I don't agree with it based on a longer term view of player value in the game.
