My cable provider has acquired ESPNs NCAA coverage and I briefly saw the Penn State game earlier on.

Nittany Lion fans, you have my deepest sympathies

Any interest? I normally wouldn't, but an issue with the DL has been overuse and just last year he was still a solid player.

Eagles are in the trash collecting busy this year

ESP is right.  This is the chance for all Eagles fans to put on the Cowboys gear and root for the Cowboys.

What the F kind of Eagles fan owns Cowboys gear?

Georgia playing the FSU freshmen team. Noles gonna get curbstomped

No. The eagles as they're currently playing can lose to any team. We shouldn't be counting any win as guaranteed, so we should be rooting for the cowboys to lose until we clinch the division. We're no longer in a position to focus on seeding, win the division and then root for other outcomes

While Minny and Dallas could beat Detroit, at this point not sure if #1 is possible. If we know we can't get #1 come the final game, I wouldn't mind resting the guys for a playoff run. Still want to win the NFCE so pulling for Detroit tonight as they have the best chance to beat Dallas.

Plus ripping all of the confidence from Dallas before the playoffs would be delicious 😋

so then when the offense struggles people cant say "This is sirianni's offense. He is to blame for this."

I feel like the majority of this board is on the "Johnson sucks" train because of the offense. To me it seems people are turning on sirianni because he appears very unserious about actually doing things to make this offense better.

IMO this is sirianni's "type" of offense, I think he likes the big play RPO stuff but I don't think he has an actual offense of his own. Just a style preference

The kind who — if he was on everyone’s ignore list — wouldn’t be visible because none of their posts would be read nor replied to

I think its far from his offense. Nobody talked about this stuff when we were hiring him away from Indy. This is all new, to try to help Hurts look like an NFL QB. It worked for a year and NFL defenses caught up. Now the opposing DC is calling our plays for our offense.

Sorry, not rooting for the Boys under any circumstance. If we see the Lions in the Playoffs, so be it but I hope the Boys go into the playoffs on a 4 game losing streak.   Vikings will be playing for their playoff lives against the Lions in Week 18.  Plus winning the NFC East at Home a whole week early would be great.

I'm in my mid 40s and have a toddler, so I'm f'n exhausted and havent been following.

Why do some people think it's better to root for Detroit again?

Yea I just saw your previous post, about not actually knowing if it's his offense or not. We are in agreement

@mattwill

Eagles - 33

Cardinals - 17

Bonus: Birds give me the three sacks I asked for last game as a late Christmas present.

If the Lions win, we can wrap up the division tomorrow, ensuring Dallas is on the road in the playoffs where they struggle more.

I'm interested to see how Florida St plays today.

If Georgia blows them out then everyone can shut up about them being snubbed.

FSU is missing about 1/3 of their starters, including two QBs.

Shoot, sorry, I meant Dallas. That one is obvious to me.  Then if we win out and San Fran drops one, we get the top seed.

I told you, I'm a walking zombie.

The absurd over the top disrespect of Hurts shows why this fanbsse doesn't deserve him or the success he brings.  He's one of the best QBs in the league and hasn't even entered his prime yet.

For me personally, it's to make it easier to win the division. That should give us at least one home playoff game and puts the cowboys on the road throughout the playoffs. This team could just was easily lose the next two games the way they've been playing so any Dallas loss gives them breathing room.

No, I'm with you.  I meant rooting for Dallas tonight.  My old dad brain is mush.

Oh the people rooting FOR Dallas are hopeful the eagles win out and the lions and SF lose out so we could get the 1 seed

Right, but if the lions win out, we win out, and SF drops one, don't we get the top seed?  Or does the lion's pass us on 8th tiebreaker or something.

The transfer portal took a heavy toll. In addition, many of their stars are preparing for the NFL draft. I don't blame the stars at all. College football has already established that it's all about money.

Replying to my own post because I'm too lazy to edit:  Just did the playoff machine.  Looks like yeah, in that scenario, the Lions pass us.

it's not about rooting for Detroit.  It's the fact that noting in the NFL is guaranteed.  This idea that anything can happen in the last two games.  We are coming off a 3 game losing streak.   I rather win the Division before anything else.   Sorry but the #1 Seed is the only important Seed and the Birds lost control of that during the losing streak, everything else is a crap shoot.  Also why are Eagles fans acting like Detroit can't lose to the Vikings in Week 18?  Or that something can't happen to us in the last two games?  Our best bet right now is the Win the Division period and avoid being a Wild Card.

Therefor Dallas needs to lose so we can lock everything up Sunday.  It's better for Dallas to have low moral going into the playoffs with a losing streak. Also Detroit still has a chance to lose a game, why in the world would I root for Dallas to win instead of them having a 3 game losing streak?.   A Dallas Loss will pretty much lock the Division for the Eagles. Again the #1 Seed is the real prize.  #2 or #3 isn't that much of a difference for me to care either way. (There is a possibility that Lions could lose in the first round and the Eagles could still have two home games at the #3 Seed)
