And this is where some of the criticism at the coaches for the vanilla, simplistic predictability of our offense may be a bit misdirected.  Are Siri and BJ doing that for a QB that isn’t seeing the field or making good decisions?

I think it's simplistic because the minds creating it are simplistic.  Hurts sees the field well enough.  He misses at times, he holds too long at times, but many routes take too long to develop.  Furthermore, he throws an excellent slant pass, yet we don't use it much.

So bought my wife football tickets for next week as a christmas present. When will they release the times?

Tomorrow I'd imagine since there's no MNF. Just gotta see what happens today.

I’ve criticized Siri in other posts and don’t think he’s good enough as an x/o guy.  But he was the HC of this team last year.  He was the OC with Reich, even if Reich ran the offense.

When Steichen left, do we think Siri and BJ just said "alright, let’s eliminate half that playbook, have the WRs run only a few predictable routes, eliminate the 3rd read, and see how that improves the offense” ??

Even if they aren’t smart enough to run it well, they have been a part of more normal, less vanilla offenses before.  There’s a reason they are doing this.

Eagles 31
Cards 27

Cards move the ball on offense, but struggle on defense. Murray has some killer runs that makes us want to pull out hair out because none of our DL know how to play contain.

My biggest issue outside of obviously getting blown out by Dallas and SF, losing to Drew Lock, and surviving a dog fight against Tyrod Taylor the past month has been that this has turned into a DUMB football team. Just incompetent errors like Hurts chucking it deep to Quez in the Seattle game, Hurts not getting out of bounds before half last week, OZ crashing into Scott like it was some Three Stooges routine, Blankenship having a brain lapse and leaving Slayton wide open, etc. Just idiotic stuff. More so than playing well today, I just want to see the stupid stuff that you never see from any other teams in other games cut out.

That new craze hasn’t caught on in Philly yet. Not sure the fan base is passionate enough.

I haven’t been since the TO game. I need to soon.

Note: I did fly back for the SB six years back and spent the weekend in Center City enjoying every minute.

The "stupid” things you describe are usually done by teams that are 3-13 or so.
Positive spin: we are winning, even with the boneheaded plays.

Negative spin: we’re  the luckiest team and this luck will eventually run out.

I haven’t seen an official statement yet but word is Tyler Smith suffered a torn plantar fasciitis last night. If it is truly a complete tear  he’s done for the year and will have 12 weeks of recovery ahead of him.

Justin Jefferson has 823 yards in only 7 games

If he didn’t get hurt, Vikings probably win a couple of the close games they lost; dude may have been MVP

We don’t secure home field with a win tonight, right?

Why are they listing him as day to day?

Nope

So help me understand. You have 11 players; take out the qb you have 10. Half of them have to be on the line and half of them have to be receivers at least 1 yard off the LOS. In this case if its a lineman that doesn't have the number of a WR/TE hey have to go to report as eligible to ref.

But in watching the replay it doesn't look like the ref is in verbal communication with #70.

Anyway is it not a stupid rule to have to report if there are 5 on the line and 5 a yard off it?

The unleash the Penny game!

No, in fact the eagles need to win out AND have help from either commanders or rams to be niners.

Too bad they lost to seattle or else they would have it right now.

No idea, he’s supposed to go in for imaging (MRI) today. There is a possibility it’s a strain vs a tear.

Roby inactive is surprising. You’d think they would ease Maddox back in after not playing for 3 months

Also just saw Tyler Steen inactive. Uhh ok?

Awesome recovery for him.

He's not the backup C, G or OT. It would take 2-3 injuries for him to get in.

I would have deactivated Scott for Roby. Gainwell can return kicks.

Penny!!
