Happy to see Smith is sitting out. Can't say I've ever been happy to have a player miss a game but it would have just been plain silly to have him go out on that turf even if he said he can go.

Sweat, Reddick, Lane, Kelce, Hurts, Goedert, Brown, BG, Carter, Davis, Cox should all sit out or only play very limited snaps.  We are the 5th seed.  Dallas isn't losing.

Eagles are going to have to end up playing in rain in that New Jersey stadium for the second time this season and the 8th or 9th time out of all their games this year.  Unreal.

Wrong

Eagles D falls apart in the second half. Barkley gets 150 rushing.

Mainly because I don’t the Giants want to win the game.  Quez gets over 50 yards receiving

The Giants and Scott run is over. It was an anomaly.

That picture of the Lions banner had me think of something random today and I'm curious if this is something an NFL organization could do or if it violates some type of an NFL rule or policy.

Two teams play in the Super Bowl and one team "loses" on the most egregious call in NFL history. Something beyond comprehension. Like a field goal is clearly good, but the refs declare it no good or something. Or a receiver is wide open in the end zone and at the last second a CB runs over and tackles him with the ball in the air to prevent the easy TD and no call. Or a player clearly stays in bounds and score the game winning TD by a foot, but refs call him out of bounds for some reason.

Would there be any rule or policy preventing the owner out of his own pocket saying F this, we got robbed, and getting his own Lombardi Trophy made and displaying it and getting a Super Bowl champion banner made and hanging it in the rafters and declaring their team Super Bowl champions and refer to his team in all interviews and press conferences as Super Bowl champions?

Have you been to Fed Ex field?

agreed for the most part.   Does AJ Brown want to be a big running back occasionally?  Do any of the others want to be big running backs,  blocking backs occasionally?  Maybe they could practice that in a game that doesn't matter.

The Eagles can call up someone from the practice squad who could get a lot of snaps,  allowing some to rest more.

Former Michigan Wolverines Fullback Ben will be getting snaps as a Fullback this weekend.  (Mason - Ravens,  theoretically VanSumeren, but less likely).

Well, they doped their way out of a division title and will have to win three games on the road to make the Super Bowl again. Seems like a hell of a strategy.

yeah, maybe, we'll see.

I'm still a Davis fan, but Hamilton is looking awfully good in Baltimore. So is Porter in Pitt and Branch in Detroit.

This team has no idea how to utilize defensive backs so I guarantee if any of them were drafted here we would be complaining about how they should have drafted someone else. They would be playing 10 yards off the LOS on 3rd and 2 just like everyone else.

Also not gonna ish on a second year guy who's eating double teams while our DEs can't win one on one battles ever

This is half the debate though. Was it worth trading up to pick 14 for a guy who one of the best things we can say about him is that he eats double teams while playing 50% of the snaps? I was a big Kyle Hamilton guy and wasn't a fan of the Davis pick at all. I just hate using a premium pick on a guy who doesn't play half the game. Hamilton has played 91% of the defensive snaps for Baltimore and the only reason it isn't higher is because he missed a game.

Agree that this team has no idea how to utilize their DB but I'd take it a step further and say they don't know how to utilize any of their players on D.

@mattwill

Putting in picks these last weeks hasn’t been fun, but there are probably only two, or at the most three games left to pick..

So here goes:

Eagles: 10

Giants: 41

Bonus: „RR"Ben Van Sumbody starts as FB and scores the only TD on a handoff inside the red zone. Scoring drive is orchestrated by 2nd half QB Gainwell, who throws for 105 yards in the half.

Seems there is a disconnect regarding 'what is important' and 'what is needed'.    One big piece that needs to be figured out amongst the coaches and FO... how many snaps a guy plays needs to factor in more than it does.   A rotational DT/NT that costs big money/draft resources while we are dealing with guys playing nearly 100% of the snaps but super suck... that's an issue.  The investment needs to match the playing time.

On the last game of the year, which is meaningless, on the worst turf in the NFL...let's have our superstar $100m WR play as the big running back.

Bonus: the Eagles become the worst 12 win team of all time and each player is given a commemorative coin to mark the occasion. Or Swift has 2 TDs.

Tomorrow's game is an opportunity to try Covey at CB, Sidney Brown at WR3, Hurts and AJ Brown safety, and Stoll at LB.  Every single need position on the roster could be fixed by the first round of the playoffs.

Davonta should really be getting some reps at EDGE.

His extensive experience as a lead blocker on screens may help at the point of attack with OTs.
