I don’t think Jeffery would ever hire a defensive head coach anyway

Slovak might be out ASAP given Stroud’s performance.

One thing you can do as an owner is pay coaches without worrying about cap space. I would pay the man if he’s willing to stay. He’s young enough to finish the job with Ryans while getting a substantial pay increase and still go get a HC gig later…

One tight end on Reddick block could change the game. A chance is all you need.

Have you seen how backups have played against us the year?

I watched Drew Lock go 90 years with no timeouts to win the game

This defense would likely get manhandled by capable college offenses

Congrats to Ryans

He should be Coach of the Year imo

If Howie drafts talent, and the player cant succeed here, but goes on to succeed elsewhere, how is Howie wrong for finding the talent that coaches couldnt bring out? Thats a coaching issue. Not a GM issue.

There's something wrong with how this team develops defensive players and or their decision to let them go. Has a defensive player left the Eagles and dropped off? It seems like every single player they refuse to sign or straight up release goes on to be even better while the Eagles fail to replace them.

Jordan Poyer, Rasul Douglas, LJ Fort, Casey Toohill, Eric Rowe, Jordan Hicks, Jalen Mills, Marcus Epps, TJ Edwards, Kentavius Street (small sample), Derek Barnett (small sample).

That's a starting defense and then some that the Eagles either couldn't develop here or didn't feel the need to invest in to bring back. I'm sure there are more but that's just off the top of my head.

Win or lose I would rather have a chance. Anything can happen.

This time tomorrow we will be the #2 seeds in the NFC.

The eagles need so much help for this to happen

Even if the eagles win and Dallas loses don’t the eagles need the lions to lose as well? This is why most people wanted Dallas to lose last week.

He Fing released him in the middle of the season

He sucked.  Bad.  For like 7 years.

Agree with you here, still pisses me off that we released him while we have players on the active roster that have been healthy scratches for 16 weeks

With our defense being 100% dependent on the DL, you want as much depth as possible

He was useless anyway

Starting defense is a bit of a stretch. Quite a long stretch.

And some of those guys were already good here (Forte, Toohill, Mills, Hicks) and we let them go anyway.  For various reasons.

Usually scheme fit. Which is the issue with making a GM try to pick talent for an ever evolving coaching staff.

We can't keep making these flash in the pan playoff/superbowl runs and then get all worked up and ready to burn it to the ground after the first sign of a hiccup. We need continuity. For the QB. For the GM. For the development of the players.

But here we are again.  Everyone wants Sirianni on the hot seat,  it even fired already.  And Howie haters are slowly crawling back out.

What are we doing? New coach every 3 years since Reid left? Are we the Browns? You can't do that.

Eagles hold tie breaker over the Lions because the Eagles have beaten the Cowboys.

Steichen gave a nice shoutout to the eagles. Pulling Jt on that last play. Eagles love doing that crap with swift and gainwell.

@mattwill  Eagles 27 Giants 16

BONUS: Hurts 0 turnovers

@mattwill

Eagles 24

Giants 30

I think all we need is to win and for Dallas to lose and we'll be 2nd seed. Odds of Dallas losing is likely pretty low though

Hasn't been one since though. I tend to agree, lurie is obsessed with having a high flying offense. I dont think he'd bring in a defensive head coach in any future hiring scenarios

Glad the Texans are in. They're a fun watch and a young team.

We were one of those, once.

Week 18 the end of the Regular Season Road.   It was a tough December Eagles Fans.  With that said, it's a new Year with another chance at the Lombardi.   The Eagles will have to take the long way back to the Super Bowl.   Sadly the Birds will need help to clinch the NFC BEAST and end the 19 year back to back Champion Curse.    To do it they must once again take down the GMen for the 6th straight time.   They also need the Commanders to take care of the Boys.   Regardless they need to go into the playoffs with a win and I think they will.   I don't expect too many fireworks because it's a Division Game.   But I think they can pull this one out.   Giants will put up a strong fight but the Birds will outlast them in this Season Finale.   Will they win the Division Back to Back?  We shall see.

BIRDS - 27

GMen - 17

JALEN - RUSH TD

AJ - TD

GOEDERT - TD

JAKE - FG x2

DEFENSE - INT & MULTIPLE SACKS

The throws he made in the super bowl :worthy:

Foles had about 4 or 5 throws that game that most NFL QB’s won’t make in their career.  He was absolutely amazing in that game.  I’d argue that it was one of the best single game performances ever.

More money or roster numbers game, Toohill for example they couldn't sneak onto the PS for a year, normal for a 7th rd pick.

Poyer was a fail at CB, it's like Jobe or Ricks being claimed and converted to safety, only a bad team would keep them on the roster to do so, good teams do that on the PS, but you can only protect 3 on the PS.

HIcks was money, Mills was scheme and numbers, he was big and slow and only fit a few schemes.

Good teams lose players, that's why they're good teams - they have a surplus of talent.

I agree with you. But, You've been on here a long time. If we go 3and out in a possession half the board wants everyone replaced.

First TD throw was beautiful.
Man, I miss LeGarrete Blount too.
