If he gets back to and wins another SB this year, I’ll agree for sure.  I float on whether him and Mike Tomlin are just beacons of mediocrity as coaches.

Each has won a Super Bowl though, which matches our franchise history. And only 13 coaches in NFL history have won more than 1 Super Bowl.

Andy Reid, BB, and Tom Coughlin are the only ones to do so in the modern era. So I think calling that a beacon of mediocrity is selling it a bit short. And I'm pretty sure the Ravens are top 5 in win percentage since Harbaugh took over.

 Is your TV from 1990? Does it have knobs? I watch internet content on my TV quite often. Be less poor and/or electronically dumb.

I hope you're not suggesting to use Smart TVs with their myriad of privacy and security issues. If you're suggesting to use HDMI with a Home Theatre PC, though, that's acceptable.

Give me the pack in the upset , big Jordan Love fan

Whilst I would dearly love for the Eagles to at least get to the Superbowl, I am a realist...

So, with that in mind, my main wish...and I have been hoping for this for weeks now, is that Dallas don't even get to the Superbowl, never mind win it! That would be utterly unbearable, after the Eagle's collapse!

I would so love for the Packers to embarrass them today, and beat them at home...though I suspect (as is usual for Dallas home games) that officiating will play a part, and Dallas will prevail... 😞

Come on Packers!!!

Dallas is going to smoke GB

Bold Prediction - We get at least one stop on third down.

This might have been the worst year for the NFL as an overall product in 30+ years.  Lamar is having a pretty darn good season, but him winning the MVP is basically the tallest midget at the circus with the way this year has been.

Yup

and when Monken leaves he will show everyone he is what he has always been

How are we still favored? LOL

I don't understand how we were ever favored to begin with

So with both Brown and Blankenship being out, I'm assuming Maddox is going to be in at safety for maybe 2-3 possessions until he gets hurt...

I guess that leaves Ringo on the outside and Bradberry at the slot, which is going to be an absolute train wreck 🤦‍♂️

Going into the season I knew that our LB's and S position was going to be the D's achilles heel

Howie played with fire on defense this year and got burned BADLY

Why cant Roby play the slot? Hes just as good as Maddox there anyway.

We are missing out on what could have been an all time classic.

I hope green bay knocks Dallass out today. The tears would be delicious. I know we aren't going anywhere but Dallas blowing it would make my day.

The only thing worse than getting demolished in the first round would be watching Dallas make it all the way. Seeing them lose would make me feel much better

Never forget what the modern Charmin soft American society stole from us today.

22 degree is not anything ridiculous or dangerous.  It was much colder in KC last night and there wasn't any issues with that.

It's actually pretty simple. You don't overreact.

The Eagles in the past several years are the third team to make the Super Bowl two times in six years with two different QBs and Head Coaches. The list of rookie head coaches to win the Super Bowl for their teams is a very grim list. What these things mean when put together is that if we try to do this a third time, we are incredibly likely to get burned, as doing it twice in 6 years is so rare.

If the combined coaching talent was the reason the team succeeded in 2022, you go get said coaching talent. There's lots of people out there that are good coordinators but not so great at being head coaches. Lean on that and get them in the building.

When Sean McVay was hired, he had Wade Phillips in the building.
When Doug was hired, he had Jim Schwartz in the building.
Mike McDaniel ended up with Vic Fangio in the building.

This pattern isn't a new pattern and is an extremely underrated aspect of successful coaching.

The chances of getting a new coach helping in the short term is pretty small. Not impossible, but statistically, the odds do not favor us. And the top candidates this cycle are pretty much all hardline football guys that conflict heavily with our organization and would end up in a power struggle with Howie.

thing is when we hired nick, we were in a rebuild and hurts progressed alot faster than media and fans realized, alot of great talent became available and we were able to get it, no one expected that. coaches like nick i guess he doesnt know how to keep it together sort of like chip, it's unfortunate but the bright side of it is that our talent is the reason why we made the playoffs despite the bad coaching. so im not worried about what coaches we bring in here.
