Well, that’s the thing… If he’s going to be traded, they will do it before extending his deal.  If they extend him, it means they’re keeping him.

Again I agree, @vikas83 said they have to sign him before they can trade him though. I’m not that familiar with the 1st rd rookie contract terms so I don’t know.

I don’t think they do.  He’s on a rookie contract as a first round draft pick.  He’s played three seasons now, correct?

Yes, his last year under contract is next year @ 5.4m…otc has his valuation at 33m. DAL can’t afford him after his rookie deal is up 😂. 
It’s a crazy hypothetical anyway. I don’t want DAL to sign him and then see drop off though either. Seen that too many times. He is a really really good player but at what cost?
