Even if we get annihilated again tonight, it will still be comforting knowing about "dem Cowboys” and their misery!

It's gonna be kinda wet down here tonight, cool for us as well.  Run the ball a lot.  All winning teams this weekend ran 20 plus times.  Texans- 22; Lions - 25; Chiefs-34;  Packers- 33.

Bucs actually have a pretty good run defense. Probably more worrisome that they run on us.

They do yeah but then when we played them earlier in the year it was the same and we still ran all over them.

Circumstances have changed though. We are definitely worse than we were back then and they have gotten better.

Yeah that is very true. And look I don't have high hopes for this game but things can change quickly in the NFL. Tampa's offense didn't look great last week against a Carolina team who were ultimately playing for nothing.

High hopes for this team have gone straight out the window. We have been waiting the entire season for ONE good game by this team! Right now ANY team, even Carolina, has a good shot of beating us. All confidence and momentum has been shattered. I can imagine that the team doesn’t even believe in themselves right now… Not a single game this year was good all around.
Can’t even say "good” about the Miami win, as they proved to be even softer than we were.

I mean look this has been overall a disappointing season no doubt. But they did beat Miami, they did beat Dallas, they did beat Kansas and they did beat Buffalo. They also beat Tampa earlier in the year, beat the Rams and so they have beaten some play off teams. Ultimately I think with this team they need to win tonight and then we shall see. If they do that then with Dallas losing last night who knows how this opens up. Do I think they go on a run? No I don't but there are a lot of average teams in the play offs and the only team I give us zero chance against is SF.

Score dictates that. Our Defense can’t allow 7-10 TD scoring drives.

Well Eagles Fans. No Turning Back Now.  Playoff Football is here.  Win or take your butt home for 6 months.   The Birds lost the 1 Seed, 2 Seed and Division in the span of four weeks.  It wasn't a pretty but thankfully they already clinched a month ago.  It was a brutal last Month but at the end of the day.  The Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl run and had double digit win Season.  Beat 6 playoff Teams including 4 Division Winners.  Have the best winning record against winning teams in the Playoffs.  Now they are playing the Bucs in a Wild Card rematch from two years ago.  It's also a rematch of earlier in the season.  The All-Time Series is tied at 11-11.  Bucs do lead the Playoff Series 3-2.  The Eagles are 0-2 in the Playoffs at Tampa but won their earlier in the regular season.   Sadly AJ will not be out there so the guys will have to do this without our big time receiver (Like the 2004 Eagles had to do without TO).

The Bucs started their season up and down but finished 5-1.  But they are 4-4 at Home. The Eagles are 5-4 this year on the Road.    With that said Tampa's last two games against the Panthers and Saints were nothing to write home about.   They still have a strong Defense and Baker has played better this year than the last few years. A lot of the media and even fans have wrote us off because of the last month.   But the Eagles are still the Defending NFC Champions.  Though we let the Division slip away, we watched the Boys fall apart and hand the first 7th Seed Victory in NFL History.  We saw a shut down browns Defense get torched by a young talented CJ.   The Chiefs who people also started to write off took down the Dolphins in the cold.  Those pesky Lions got it done and won their first Playoff game in over 30 years.   My point is the Regular Season is over.

I don't care what happen last month.  It no longer is relevant and doesn't matter.   I only care about what is happening now. The Road to the Lombardi goes through Tampa first and The Birds will take care of business.  I expect Jalen to really spread it around.  I think Swift will pick up where he left off against Tampa in week 3.  The Defense hasn't played well since really the KC game.   But I know we have some talented players on this team and we were dealing with injuries.   Hopefully they can force Baker into mistakes.    I would love nothing more for the Birds to come out and play a complete game and blow Tampa's doors off.  But it will probably be a much closer game.  I've been right and wrong this season.  I bet the Birds every time, I'm definitely not going to stop now.  We are more talented and they have to show it on the field.   Birds rise like a phoenix as they start their next playoff run.   Birds take down Bucs in Tampa.

BIRDS - 31

BUCS - 16

JALEN - RUSH TD

DEVONTA - TD

JULIO - TD

SWIFT - RUSH TD

JAKE - FG

DEFENSE - INT, Fumble, Multiple Sacks.

Yeah, that’s true. A win is a win and they did beat some quality teams. We thought that these victories meant more because they basically didn’t play well and still won. Everyone was hoping and expecting more, as they just needed to put it all together for a complete game. It never happened and it actually got worse and worse as the season went down the stretch. Part of it was being physically and mentally fatigued, but most of that was self inflicted due to over usage and the defense not being able to get off the damn field.
When I think about the games that we did win, it feels like we didn’t actively win the games, instead the other team handed us the win with failure on their part.

I want nothing more than to be wrong in this case! I still have that "one in a million chance” type of hope that things will turn out differently, but that’s about it. Momentum and realistically speaking… they are getting hammered again tonight.🤷

Of course.  Just making a point that winning teams ran the ball consistently.   If eagles throw 30+ times can't see us winning.  If we run 30+ I think we have a chance.  Strategy should be to do whatever we can to keep our defense off the field as much as possible.

I don’t think the Bucs are necessarily better than week 3, but the Eagles have played much worse.

Key to the game for me is to simplify things on both sides.

On offense, yes, run the ball and play action off of it. Ball control and no turnovers.

On defense, quit with the exotic, big brain fire zone schemes that are confusing everyone. Line up in 4 down lineman and play straight up.

If you get beat that way, so be it. But I can’t stomach the idea of continuing to get beat because of miscommunications and guys playing lost.

And please don't drop 35 year old DEs into coverage.

Yeah, that falls in to the "big brain fire zone" category.

Overthinking things. Line up and let the guys do what they're best at.

We still have personnel issues, but they are not nearly as bad as they've been made to look with these schemes.

All I can say is X is on fire with all of the Cowboys material 😂

That’s probably the best strategy for this team for this game and going forward, if they actually win. And be more aggressive on the defensive side.

It doesn't even feel like there is a game tonight cause the season is already over

I just hope that with hurts dodgy finger and AJ brown being out we adjust the game plan and use swift and gainwell a lot.

This will open things up for smith and geodert.

But things are never that simple and we're also hoping that the Defensive performance is adequate.

Agreed.  I'm not expecting anything but it does feel like a W is possible though as TB isn't really that good and Mayfield is hurting.  Get that W tonight and we would go into Detroit without much to lose at this point.

Really need to get the ask Dave section going. Probably would help if we convince the real Dave to join the board lol
