I’ve been Debbie Downer for a while now, but damn it, I woke up this morning with a renewed vigor. Nick should be coaching for his job tonight. Smitty, OZ, Covey, Jones, Quez, Goedert, Swift and Gainwell KNOW they are down their best playmaker. For F’s sake, Maddox has to play safety tonight due to injuries. I feel this team is going to scratch and claw themselves back from the edge of the abyss and remind the rest of the league that WE A’INT DEAD YET. I wanna see swagger. Intensity. Focus. And a killer instinct.

Not that long ago, this team thrived on people hating us. In being the underdog. After the run last year, these dogs got fat, happy, and complacent. No Fing more. Tonight they will be hungry. Starved even. And we all know, HUNGRY DOGS RUN FASTER.

As a famous punchy Italian once said, "It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.” We’ve been hit. Pummeled even. Time to put it in the rear view. Tonight, we see what this team and city are really made of.
