It’s kinda funny how a great individual play by Roby to punch the ball out and MVS dropping a long TD where they schemed up the exact matchup they want really skews our perception.

The victors have always gotten to write history.

We are likely to be in a position where we have to root for DAL to beat DET in order to get the #1 Seed.

I don't think so. Detroit is not #1 seed material. I'm confident they won't be in the mix for the same reason I was confident the Vikings weren't last year. I watch them play and knew they weren't worthy of the 1 seed, so one way or the other they weren't going to end up there. When I watch the Lions they look like an 11-12 win team. Teams typically have a way of ending up where they should. I think they will lose one each to the Bears and Vikings, possibly the Saints, and maybe Dallas.

just now hearing that Hufanga tore his ACL. Absolutely massive blow to SF's defense. That might just put DET as the top contender for the #1 seed now.

Was thinking that yesday too. HUGE loss for them.

I understand homefield advantage, but if the league cares so much about player safety like they say they do than this should be penalized and reprimanded. That's for all players, Chiefs included. No one should have to play on a field like that.

I didn't notice the field being a factor, at least no more than a typical rainy game would make it. I saw one instance of them repairing a pretty big divot but that was it.

There is plenty of room on the bandwagon...c'mon. Seriously though, I predict they will lose to Dallas AND either Minn once (they play 2x in the last 3 weeks) or the Saints.

Not sure I'd go that far, but he did well enough all things considered. Still tons of room for improvement, but at least we're seeing progress.

At least we're seeing adjustments. Feels like forever since we've had a DC who can say "hmm that's not working, let's try something else".

I don't think their schedule is as a walk in the park as everyone else thinks. They had no business winning that game against Chicago on Sunday. They're definitely fallible. Their divisional games remaining won't be a walk in the park, they have to play in New Orleans, Denver has a good defense, and then finish up against Dallas. I don't think they're getting through to that Dallas game unscathed.

9-1 team. Stuck up for Siri in the past. Could be something already in the works 🙂

I'm not sure what you mean, but my point is Shane and Nick obviously have a good relationship. If Leonard is washed or just not that good anymore, the Eagles have an easy source for that info.

I mean the alternative is VanSumGuy so... you're right don't need.

Not a disagreement, I just use Over the Cap vs Spotrac, I do not understand why they are different. The salary cap next year needs work so picking him up and pushing it to next year is a bad idea IMO. He likely has some good football still left in him, but the Cowboys can't afford to take a chance on a player that might not play up to the contract at this point. Been there done that, maybe doing it with a couple of players right now.

I meant the disagreement between OTC and Spotrac since it’s a pretty significant amount

When did I ever say "don't need"? All I implied was Nick has a good source to do their due diligence and figure out one way or the other if he's a good pickup.

We still have the push for conference record, right (as DET lost to SEA)?  Or is that for WC seeding?

NVM - Ravens, wrong bird.

Conference record would take precedence, but both teams have 1 loss against out of conference opponents... but every tie breaker we can move to our side, the better.   SOV was the one that's toughest to figure out quickly... but ESPN has it pretty nicely set up.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/standings/_/view/playoff

Eagles are 6-0 in conference, Lions are 5-1.  I'd assume that the Eagles are more likely to drop an IN conference game than out of the conference to set up the tie though.  I think the Eagles beat the Bills and that's the final out of conference matchup for the Eagles.   The Lions still have Denver... and its possible a resurgent Broncos team could trip up the Lions, though it is in Detroit, not in Denver.   If they lose to Denver its likely a moot point, but in that case, they would have the better conference record than the Eagles if they ended up in a tie (and the Eagles beat Buffalo on Sunday).

I agree that Detroit will drop one to Minny.  I think Dallas beats them as well.

Beating dallas in the first game was critical.  And racking up Ws that most figured would be Ls is pushing it out of practical reach, if not yet mathematical reach.

The Niners problem is simple to solve, lol.  We just need to beat them.

And if Geno plays, the Seahawks have two shots to wreck their chances.

Just read that chiiefs groundskeepers turned on the sprinklers pre game while it was raining to soak the field...

Gee i wonder why they would do that....🤔

Their defense is bad. They have a great offensive line, but no other aspect of their team stands out to me as all that special.

From a couple years back so there’s that. Don’t see it happening but there is that relationship.

Replay of the game starting on NFL Network right now.

When did he switch from Darius to Shaquille?

Like a year or two ago

NFL players hate being called "Darius" apparently.

IDK about the defense being bad...they have a star DE and their secondary is much improved over last year...Dan Campbell makes them go...they love that man...they have some intangibles. They remind me of the Vikings from last year.

Hutchinson is a freak...

It's gotten to the point where I wish there was a NFL sponsored site with data directly from the league.  <_<

There is! The NFLPA website!

Which is also completely different than Spotrac or OTC or anyone else.

@mattwill

Eagles 30, Bills 24

Bonus -- AJ Brown 120+ receiving yards
