My favorite part is the use of capital letters for "Black Mother Dorothy".  But it's all gold. 🤣

Said during and after the KC game, we need to find an upgrade to our 3rd wr next year. When goedert gets hurt it gets brought to light more.

The Eagles don't need to focus so much on star starters who play almost all the snaps.  If one was to get hurt, as in the Goedert case,  there is no clear backup.   In theory Albert O should be the backup,  but since they haven't thrown a ball in his direction all season,  the Eagles aren't going much in that direction.

Hard to argue with 9-1 though.

In theory stars might get tired or worn out over the course of a season, which might be a problem in the playoffs.

Irsay unloading the whole clip.

So much talent.   He's never been truly appreciated for what he can actually do.   Seems to be impossible to do that... and makes it seem effortless.

They just need a competent 3rd WR. Doesn’t have to be a star. Just someone that when the ball does get thrown he makes the catches and maybe a little bit of a vertical threat. Would be nice to have one with more speed to add a little more of that element to the offense.

Yeh we refer to those folks as T-shirt fans.

I have never heard that term.  The idea being that you buy a shirt with the logo on it but don't fork out the dough for a jersey? Just wondering on the etymology of it.

It seems the NHL Winter Classic between Seattle and Las Vegas is scheduled for Pride Day?

A t-shirt fan is similar to a bandwagoner  fan, someone who really has no affiliation to the team other than the fact the team is successful. The term really came about regarding fans of large successful college teams that actually attended another college. But yeh, they buy all the gear and boast about a team because they’re successful, regardless of a connection to said team or locale. There weren’t many Patriot fans in Texas until they started collecting Lombardi trophies, oddly enough there doesn’t seem to be as many lately either.

There isn’t a lot of ball distribution in this offense in general outside of AJ and DeVonta. And that’s fine for the most part, but when AJ is held to one catch for eight yards the offense can look ugly. I liked the screen passes they ran to Swift against KC (hated the WR screens). Even when Goedert is healthy, he has his games where it doesn’t feel like he’s on the field. Utilizing multiple receivers/backs in the pass game is something I’d like to see the offense improve upon.

Thank you @M.C.  I just put down five figures on the Green Bay money line

Is the Vegas jersey white and gold or blue and black. Not gonna fool me twice

Wonderful. It looks like rain may be in the forecast for Sunday’s game.

Covey is pretty competent at PR.   Most should be happy with what he's done there. I am.  Leads the NFL in punt return yardage.  #3 in yards per return.

It's not like Covey wasn't a WR in college.  He was.  He led his team in catches twice. 7th most catches in the Pac 12 one year. 9th most another year. 184 total catches.  Utah wasn't a big passing team.

https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/britain-covey-1.html

He carried the ball fairly often,  and pretty well.   In different seasons he had yards per carry of 8.2, 7.3, 7.1,  totaling 49 runs for 300 yards with a career ypc of 6.1.

He also had 3 passes, and was very effective at that,  3 passes, 3 completions, 2 TDs and a passer rating of 518.8.

High School QB who won the championship twice, undefeated,  and ran a lot.

But no targets as a WR.  He can catch, run and throw,  but no targets.   I was looking for that position,  the slot position, the #3 position, to be a versatile position, the team is a little different if the non star guy is a small punt returner instead of a 300 pound FB.   And it might be useful if a player who is not a star gets some experience,  because a star who gets a ton of reps might get hurt, and the non star might have to play.

It's hard to argue with 9-1.  The Eagles like to have their stars play almost always.  Other teams have star WRs,   but the Eagles put their star WRs on the field more than other teams do.

The Eagles have 17 catches so far this season by players who are not a RB, nor one of the 2 WR and 1 TE stars.   That seems like a very low number, compared to other teams.

top 4 receiving yards / snap counts
AJ BROWN - 93%
KEENAN ALLEN - 88%
CEEDEE LAMB - 78%

TYREEK HILL- 68%

and Devonta Smith is at 97%
