Chris Long is basically the Blog during games….

I wish I was that calm during those plays. The only one I wasn't screaming like a lunatic on and scaring my kids was the FG, mostly because I was in shock he made it and just stood in front of the TV with my hands on my head.

Dunno if I can take much more of this. This old heart of mine.

UM beats OSU on Saturday, with thanks to Ryan Day, and the Eagles beat the Bills, on a day when the Bills played their best.

Both wore me out.

Keep ‘em coming.

Me, you, and @Diehardfan  are gonna be keeping Bayer in business from popping aspirin like tic tacs every week.

I’ve seen this meme every week, but at first I was wondering why you made it 0-1? Then I thought, "What are you talking abou… oh; oh no. That’s not nice.”

In my mind I understand all the reasons why Vegas would make SF the favorite, but I still just cannot believe they did.

Would be curious to watch the line movement as we get closer to kickoff, especially if Lane is able to suit up. That said, they're well rested and we just played a F ton of snaps in a physically and emotionally draining game, so the cross country travel for them might be less of a factor than usual.

Jordan Davis actually taking the corner from Allen and laying out to stop him should be the first thing Sirianni shows in the film room. That play was incredible for a guy his size and what it's all about.

A win next week will perfect the meme.

I told you this on Saturday. You are welcome

This would be massive.

Elliott's FG was one of the best kicks I've ever seen, taking into account the distance, the conditions, the moment, etc.  He hit the kick so hard it started to slice, but hit it so pure it turned over and straightened out.  Just a fantastic kick.  In comparison, the Texans kicker on his 58-yard attempt indoors hit his kick really well, but as soon as he hit it I said "too high".

I was listening to Merrill and Mike Quick, and Quick kept saying the Eagles needed to get 5-6 yards closer to get into range for a FG; in the conditions the ball just won't fly as well.  Even at 81 years-old, Merrill sounded shocked the kick was good.  Also -- terrible call by Jim Nantz on the TV broadcast; he remains the most overrated football play-by-play announcer.

One of the best kicks in Eagles history, IMO.

It was pointed on TV coverage last night - may have been the NBC SNF coverage - that Reddick didn't get his hand inside the collar, so it wasn't a horse collar tackle.

That's the mindset we want from the Eagles.   BUT... I don't want anything written about it.   Just quietly go about your business and let the talk happen with your play on the field.   As Reddick said, Talk IS cheap, and that goes both ways.   Don't say anything.  Let the talking happen between the white lines and just beat them up again.

Catch the helmet shot at the end of this one

Sirianni might want to make the whole week walk through practices only.

I know you probably meant this half in jest maybe but the science behind sports fatigue recovery would say you absolutely should. Sports with particularly high HIT output like football can need somewhere between 72-120 hours for players to actually return to their baseline performance readings.

I was 100 percent serious.

Clutch is his middle name

The Eagles are going to have a letdown spot soon. You can't keep emptying the tank emotionally. Eventually you break. That's why you need some blowouts/byes to make it easier.

I don't think that happens vs. SF though. Sirianni going to play the 49ers off-season complaints on a loop.

I don’t think the SF game is going to be close.  Not a blowout, but not close.  Either the Eagles finally flex their complete game (against SF no less) or they have their typical bad 1st half and never wrestle their way back in during the 2nd half.

I don’t have a feel for which it will be, but I think Sunday the Eagles will deliver their first non nail biter game in a long time.

Eagles are way too beaten up to fight back like they have against the 49ers.  They can't afford a stumble in the first half like they have been experiencing... then again, I didn't think they could afford it against the Chiefs or Bills either.

I would love to see them finally put it together.  I know the 49ers have had this game circled on their schedule, but I think the Eagles have too... Reddick sort of alluded to the fact that they've been hearing all the chirping from SF.  I think the Eagles intend to show that last year's playoff game was no fluke... nor any kind of weird occurrence and that with Purdy healthy or not, they were going to win that game.     I could be wrong, but I think that they have quietly been focusing on this game for a while, hopefully that comes to fruition and the real Eagles finally show up and take care of business from the opening kickoff.   I'd love a double digit win...  I just don't see it playing out that way though.

I think it's okay to praise Hurts for his clutch theatrics and stepping up when it matters most, while also noting that he's been a turnover machine with at least one backbreaking one every game. It just has to stop. It's going to bite them eventually and good teams won't let you off the hook for it. SF will punish them for it and Dallas will get going downhill at home and seize that momentum like they do when they get a couple of turnovers.

A reasonable criticism of the O is the game planning for the 1st half has been pretty average or just far too inconsistent all season.  They've had to fight back a ton, which isn't sustainable yoy.  The flip side is they adjust the other way at the half. The D has been balling out, so the deficit has been an easier one to get over.

It's fair to point out the Refs issues, but let's point out their DLs cheap shots at Jurgens; at least 1 should have been a penalty in my view.  Davis took one of their IOL for a ride in the 1st quarter and he did all he could to stop Davis getting to Allen, who competed a pass; a flag (I rewound the snap and watched a couple of times to confirm).  Dawkins at LT was getting beaten up a lot and again, got away with a lot too.  Hyde/Poyer got away with some borderline naughtiness on a number of times - launching head first at Smitty when he had caught the TD.  On one shove, a Bills player launched himself head first over the pile which is a concussion waiting to happen on the recipient

The Bills bottled the big moments yesterday - it's hard to watch as a fan but they ain't clutch as an org. The Zebras didn't favour the Eagles - but Twitter seems to be paranoid about it.

The soccer style tackle on the TD in OT needs to be addressed by someone.

If Frank was the one who made the decision to draft Bryce Young, he was fired in that moment.

If Frank was not the one who wanted to draft Bryce Young, he's better off being out of there.
