I was 100 percent serious.

I agree.  I was thinking the same thing looking at the snaps,  also keeping on mind that was after a short week.

I told you this on Saturday. You are welcome

Great news

The Panthers job is officially the worst job in the NFL. The owner has no patience and is meddles. They have no picks, minimal talent and a question mark at QB.

My concern with Bryce Young was that he would play like he did in college.  He had the speed and strength to escape pressure and make throws in college.  He can throw the ball well but he will not be effective against pressure until he adds significant muscle to his frame.  By no means is he a bust as a QB. He just does not have an elite physical edge as a QB in the NFL.

100% they should be calling him to help.  I am not as down on Brian Johnson as others have been.  I think he adjusts every game. I also think he likely gets blamed for problems that are not related to the play call.  Reich, however, has a lot of insight.  He would be able to help the passing game immensely.

The story from 2017 is that Reich was the guy that kept Pederson's feet on the ground and reminded them to run the ball more.   BJ could use a lot of that in his ear.

BJ is driving me nuts at times, especially with the way things start and the lack of creativity in a lot of 3rd down situations.  But, then I remember this is his first time ever calling plays and remember he needs to learn it and grow into the job.  Frank has been there, done that for a long time.  Just as a new HC benefits from coordinators that have been around the block more than once (and even more when one has been a HC before), I think BJ would benefit a bunch from Reich's experience.

Me, you, and @Diehardfan  are gonna be keeping Bayer in business from popping aspirin like tic tacs every week.

Hilarious and true

Go get. Even if you can't fire our OC bring him on as a consultant and let him help situational play calls and designs.

Twice in a year. Kind of think Doug or the eagles bring him in to be another mind/consultant in the room

I wouldn’t mind it.  He was solid as an offensive coordinator - just could never put it together as a head coach - happens more often than not.

They 1000% need to call him for the Vic role from last year.

I feel bad for him, but he just took a 7 win team and drove them right into the ground

I think it’s over for him as a head coach. It would be a hard sell to a fan base at this point, even if he comes to Philly and gets some credit for turning things around. Considering the complaints I’ve read about his offense the past few years (some you can obviously explain away), I’m not sure I want him here as more than a consultant.

I feel for Frank though. Tying yourself to bad ownership can be a career killer.

I'd love to have him waiting in the wings if BJ gets moved up to OC.   I'd take Reich as the OC here in a heartbeat.   But, I think you are right, in the same way that when Andy brought in Mornhinweg, his chances as a HC were gone... but that's also a GOOD THING for the Eagles in the long run to have an OC who can handle the job, but is out of the discussion of the HC carousel.

That "It was all Reich and not Doug" argument seems to have fallen flat on its face. One has been fired in back to back seasons and the other is on his way to two straight divisional titles.

In fairness, whoever took over for the Panthers as a head coach was doomed because the oline is still one of the worst in the league. If not the worst. They have yet to fix that problem over 4 year period of time. Not gonna even go into the young trade. With how bad their oline is that should’ve been built up this offseason knowing they were drafting a young Qb. whoever becomes the coach is screwed until that problem is solved. At the deadline they were looking for wide receivers even though their oline is significantly worse.

I would definitely bring in frank reich. Siriani is close with the guy and at the worst you have a backup coordinator or qb coach in house if needed

Hire him as the OC right now.  He'll run the ball in the first half.

Seeing a lot of Eagles haters and Bills fans trying to compare this to the AJ Brown non-fumble. Embarrassing.

I never bought into that, but I absolutely believe that the two of them together had some magic sauce working.   Would have loved to have seen what would have happened if they had been able to keep that coaching staff together... including DeFillipo.

Frank Reich is now available...........

(I know it won't happen)

Yep.  Most of those guys were in the same boat as the Wentz apologists.   They’ve all gone pretty quiet now.

One of the best kicks in Eagles history, IMO.

Jake might have four of the best kicks in this team's history. Yesterday, 61 against NYG in 2017, 54 yarder against Washington in OT, and his 46 yarder in the Super Bowl to extend the lead to eight. His highlight reel is incredible.

Romo's "That was a horsecollar" and "That was a catch" were two of the worst real time takes in quite some time.

We have an owner who is obsessed with the passing game and the analytics behind it. He questioned Doug after running t he ball with amazing success in a win against Green Bay.

We will always be a pass to get the lead and run to salt the game away team. That comes from the top.

I’ve seen a lot of them ****ing that it should’ve been at fumble. That play happens in every single game at least once maybe even twice and almost routinely it’s called incomplete. Happened last week dolphins vs raiders where the raiders tight end did the exact same thing as brown. Was ruled the fumble and then challenged, and it was overturn and ruled incomplete.  Davis and diggs had that happen earlier this year in the same game and the rule the incomplete twice.

What about when the Eagles were up by 4, he said "a FG on this drive ties it." He said it twice!

Bring him back to help BJ out with the early week game planning.

And in game planning.  And half time adjustments.  And playcalling.

BJ can continue to hold the clipboard.  Maybe.

Flip is an interesting one. He isn’t even in the league anymore. Crazy to look back at 2017 and see how some of the careers turned out.
