They have also been out in front a lot of games, which means teams won't run on them.    They are 10th in YPC at 4.0, while the Eagles are 12th at 4.1.

They took a lot of cheap shots last time. I expect more of the same.

Wouldn’t shock me to see them try and return the favor by taking out Hurts

I fully expect the SF defense to try to injure Hurts during the game.  Maybe an emphatic tackle.  Or piling on through the whistle.

They are thuggish to begin with.  Now they have a point to make.

Yep.

I love it. Puts all the pressure on the 49ers and gives the Eagles motivation.

I'll take it a step further -- if we win this game, I think it mentally breaks the 49ers. They spent an entire offseason crying that they would have won the NFCCG if not for "bad luck" (never mind they tried to block Reddick with a backup TE and got their QB killed). Basically, they've protected their fragile egos by refusing to accept they lost. If they lose with Purdy, as a favorite, in Philly...I could easily see them going into the tank. They are a mentally weak team with a head coach who is a great play designer but terrible leader and gameday coach.

They and the Cowboys are similar that they have to front-run and be bullies. When someone punches back, they fold.

Agreed....   Other than the Cowboys and Jags, who have they beaten? Honestly, the way this team crys and whines and talks, it would be very fitting if they lost.

However, if they do lose they will still likely make excuses on Officiating, playing on the road, in the rain, Eagles players were cheating,  their iceskate er, I mean shoelaces were untied.... etc...

Bonus: Trent Williams gets called for two personal fouls.

To those who know much more about line play than me (so, basically, everyone) -- other than Trent Williams, is anyone on the SF line any good? Feels like Carter, Davis, Williams and Cox (assuming they play) should dominate inside and Reddick over the right tackle.

I'm no expert, but the few times I've watched them this year, it seems like the interior of their OL is very vulnerable.

I think Carter could do work.

Throw in Redd Foxx and Red Skelton…

My Dad (RIP) and I (11-15 yrs old or so) used to listen to a Red Foxx comedy tape (8 track no less) on a 6 hour ride once a year from Philly to the Allegheny National Forest (deer season).  So funny. Hearing my Dad roar would put me in hysterics.

You don't curse?  Let me close this car door on your hand and I bet you say g-damn, m-fer and n...!

Soldier why are you running (away from the battle)? Sergeant, I am running because I cannot fly!

Sergeant teaching the troops to pull the pin the hand grenade.  Pull the pin count to three and throw it.  Stuttering soldier says Sssss-ergeant, how how how high ddidd you sssay to to to ccccount ttttoo?

Son, you just count to one!"

Mobile QBs like Mahomes, Allen and Prescott give us trouble by escaping -- Purdy isn't one of those guys.

I just want to see someone take Kittles head off, would love to see Blankenship rock him.

Would also like to see him wear a disparaging shirt towards the Eagles and proudly show it off after the game. He would get pelted with some not so soft objects I’m sure.

It would go both ways. If they see them take a cheap shot at Hurts Carter seems the type to return the favor

Aaron Banks is a fine player. Notre Dame guy. Their center, Brendel is a little undersized. I like our matchup with Davis.

I’ll watch a few of their games and come back with more comments. Thank goodness for condensed replays.

Yup. He does have a pretty quick release I believe, but he can be a bit reckless at times.

We should get a few opportunities for picks.

My favorite is the stuttering paratrooper during training, he didn’t hear the instructions and was trying to ask the sergeant to repeat them.  "S..ssss…ssaaargeant…”. Sargent looked at him and said "you better count one”

edit: same joke different set up.

He won't be showing ish off as they will lose

Trying to catch up was it reported when Leonard would be making a decision?

Last I saw mentioned it's over the coming weekend.

Also their D line is a bit undersized no?  A quicker unit for sure but seems like we pushed them around last game?  Hargrave is 300 plus for sure lol.  But some are under 300 for sure too.

I misremembered it as hand grenade pin instead of a rip cord. Gist is the same and funny as hell.

We ran the ball right at them in the NFC Championship Game for like 150. Purdy being hurt didn't impact that at all.

Aside from the entire team being due for a complete game, it seems like the DL is overly due for a complete game. They've had multiple games this year where guys don't seem to finish, stay on their feet or keep contain. They've had games against OL that are playing like garbage and haven't been able to take advantage of it. This DL needs to feast and make life miserable for I don't even know his name...Tim Rattay? Nope #13, what's his name? That's what I think of their QB. The fact that I'm totally blanking on his name. Mr. Irrelevant. He's not the QB everyone thinks he is. The Eagles need to remind the 49ers who they are and why they are the team to beat.

Brock Purdy. That's his name.
