I don't know why I was so critical of him before regarding this issue because it's exactly the way I act. I've always been a firm believer of being even keeled and keeping all of your emotions in check. I think I painted an image of a Jeff Garcia type of emotion needed when instead, Jalen Hurts and him being authentic to himself is exactly what this team needs. It's by far my favorite thing about him. He's an old soul and I love it.

 

 

 

Unless Cunningham's injury is far worse than the team is reporting, I really don't see the point in pursuing Leonard if he's not going to make a decision until next week. 

I understand that Ellis is a liability, but Leonard would likely have next to no impact until he got situated on defense (2-3 games maybe?) 

However this could primarily be a depth addition which I guess would make sense...

This was his plan all along, at least what was reported here locally this past Sunday I believe. He was to visit Dallas, then Philly and make a decision over the coming weekend.

There are a few things to factor for him as a player:

1. $
2. Chance at a ring
3. Playing time/Role (his primary gripe @ Indy 
4. Future role (beyond this year)

At the same time DAL and PHI have their own factors to consider:

1. His health moving foward has to be the biggest factor
2. Cap implications for the future, unless you just sign him to a short term deal
3. Is it truly a need or want signing, both have a need, who's need is greater?

For the Eagles, if I were the GM I would try to take advantage of his desire to chase the ring and sign him to a incentive based contract as much as possible and if he plays like the old Leonard extend him with a better more player friendly contract with some guarantees, the guarantees in the contract are what most premier players are after now days it seems.

For the Cowboys, they aren't in the same position as the Eagles when it comes to chasing the ring proposition, so more outlay on the contract would be required IMO.

I think the Eagles should be in the drivers seat here.

I don't think any team is beating down the door to sign him. And they shouldn't be. He was cut for a reason and interest is slim for a reason.

The day he was released she tweets "Howie be workin". Today, the day he's visiting and clearly every Eagles fan know he is, she tweets 'Today gonna be a great day!" just to do a bait and switch for a jersey giveaway. 

She knows what she's doing with these tweets.

The couple weeks off will hopefully help his injuries and he can help us beat Dallas.

He is not looking to be a depth player...he wants on the field, that (and $) is part of what led to his departure in Indy.
