This also didn’t help yesterday.  The team looked flat out gassed after the 1st quarter….

So I picked a fairly low scoring game yesterday. This was based on the way the Eagles played D against the Dolphins and knowing that they like to do some of the same things, get players in space with the ball using a ton of motion. The Niners are definitely more physical than the Dolphins though. The concepts and schemes are very similar, McDaniel learned from coaching with Shanahan for quite a while at multiple stops. I was just surprised that the results weren't similar, I'm not saying the Dolphins are as good as the Niners offensively, I just thought the DLine would have controlled the ground game better, but that is hard to do with a depleted LB group, they just couldn’t fill the gaps.

Offense needs to put up 17 first half points this Sunday, minimum.  Another 7 points or less, and down 2 TDs at halftime will be quite irritating.

It needs to be the best game of the year. This is an extremely tough spot. Dallas has won 14 straight at home and the Eagles haven't won in Dallas since 2017.

I hated the pick - too small and injury prone.

Maybe.  But to get a high ceiling Georgia LB in the 3rd round looked pretty good at the time.

And tbh the jury is still out on Dean - we need to see more of him before coming to conclusions, imo.

Omaha.  You should get plane tickets\hotel now.

I thought it was in Fargo this year?

@mattwill

Eagles 29, Turds 24

Bonus -- DAL has the ball in the last 3 minutes, but McCarthy makes an odd decision and Dak screws something up that results in an Eagles win.

The ineffectiveness of the run game, when Johnson actually calls it, has been baffling. Is it as simple as Johnson abandoning the run too quickly? We really need to pound the rock at Dallas this week.

Watch this and you'll see why Desai is at the mercy or these bum LBs

I'll be happy to eat crow, but I think he has bust written all over him.

This sounds like a typical NFCE game involving DAL @ home…lol. Good prediction.

Yep. I thought the game was over mid-way through the second quarter. They were gassed. I expect the same next week because Dallas is also coming off a 10-day break.

Sorry to say.

The 49ers have a very good pass D and a poor run D. We came out throwing like we always do. Now our OL was AWESOME in pass pro. That's a great sign moving forward and will keep us in most games the defense doesn't collapse. However, we were missing Goedert. Julio is cooked. Jalen doesn't trust any other TE. Without a legitimate 3rd WR/TE option, you can't win that way. Goedert will help things, but that was a bad offensive gameplan yesterday.

Quez actually looked decent yesterday. Would much rather have him out there than Julio.

Where did I say otherwise? They got their asses kicked. No doubt about it. But anyone would have taken 5-1 during this stretch a month and a half ago.

I certainly would have. But now we need to go a minimum of 4-1 the rest of the way, and even that might not be enough for the 1 seed.

How has Leonard still not make a decision? Is he my wife choosing take out?

Pro tip- When your wife sucks at making food decisions, go up to her and say this: "Honey, guess where I'm ordering us dinner from?" She will then respond with the name of a place. Congratulations, you're now ordering from there without waiting an hour for her to say no to the first 5 places you name.

The Eagles had one PBU all day yesterday. Can anyone guess who it was?

Jordan Davis.

So what you're saying is we're due?

When was the last time the Eagles swept Dallas?

Peyton Manning approves this message.

One can only hope that's the case.

Shaq Leonard ain't covering CMC out of the backfield. He is not that kind of LB anymore. He will be a really good run defending LB edge to edge, maybe some in the flats coverage on passing downs, but not beyond the LOS. He just doesn't move like he used to in space. Who does after two back surgeries?

2011 I believe, but then lost to them in the playoffs .... so 2006 might be a better answer.

That was 2009. 2011 we won 4 straight to finish the season to finish 8-8 and didn't make the playoffs.

Well this wasn't fun

On their first play no less. So not a single PBU the entire rest of the game.

You know it's a bad day when even my jinx powers wear off.

I know you have been told to lay off the salt, high fat foods and alcohol to avoid heart problems and a stroke but I think that's he only fix on Sunday.  You need like 2lbs of bacon and a 5th of Seagram's whiskey pre-game.  You can move to Jack Daniels, nachos and burgers in the first quarter.  You need to go full heart attack screaming at the TV.

Maybe but he can still tackle and apparently that’s what we need back there right now.
