Bless doug for trying to make me feel better about the eagles defense. Allowing browning go 17-19 in the first half.

When you watch the niners offense then the Eagles, the scheme looks basic as all hell. This has to be a Siri thing. He's the designer after all.

I think it’s part scheme and part Jalen can’t run a traditional NFL passing scheme/offense, I know I’ll catch crap for that but I watch other games and something is just really off with the passing game, zero rhythm, WRs not getting open, barely any YAC yards, nothing ever just looks natural and easy as some other nfl offenses

I meant my prediction of Greenwell throwing a cheap spot.

Ummmmm wtf was that by the bengals?

Great pass by Tyler Boyd to…Josh Allen.

Great play call there having Boyd throw it🤣🤣

Makes it worse is browning is 19-21 tonight. So why even run a trick play. The jags haven’t stopped him all game anyway

I think Kay is having orgasms on bengals big plays

Can't sit here and tell me hurts couldn't do what Purdy did yesterday. The dude didnt even have to target his wideouts on the outside much the designs were so good.

It was spot on as far as it went.  The two fines portions are TBD.

This game has actually been moderately entertaining.

I've been trying to tell anyone willing to listen for weeks now that jettisoning our CBs for new ones will not be the cure for what ails us.

I have determined, scheme, more than anything, is the issue.

Byard got the bye to get up to speed. We got Roby back healthy. And still, it seems like everyone is getting beat everywhere. And not only that, but no one is making any plays at all. 1 PD yesterday and it came from a DL.

The CBs are rarely in position to even hit a WR as the ball arrives, let alone try to get a hand on it for the PBU.

When you see the issue is that receivers are getting the ball right in the gray area where pass offs always happen in our zones, you realize its not really the CBs playing badly.

I really, really wish Slay and Bradberry would just be allowed to man up at least like 75-80% of snaps. We would be a lot better off.

That's not even what killed the Eagles yesterday. They abused the LBs in the air and on the ground.

Even in the bye week josh Allen is making plays…

I’d be surprised if lamb and Ferguson don’t have big games against us. We really have no answer for either of those two.

:P

Ricks looks solid on the outside. Desai is an idiot for continuing to use him in the slot.

My suspicion during the game was that Ricks lost snaps to ricks, not due to coverage, but due to some pathetic missed tackles Roby had.

Still, you keep Roby in for the hopes of maybe just 1 PBU in the game. I dont think Ricks is a tacklin machine either so, nothing gained there. It was a net negative, having ricks struggle in the slot.

Sirianni has really good in-game decision making.  The slow starts are a function of the game plan, IMO.  He may be a better in-game head coach and motivator than he is an offensive schemer and X and Os.

That’s how I see it.

He seems kinda bi-polar to me. Every big game it feels like there are a few head scratcher decisions.

Its all connected. You cant have the CBs in zone when the LBs dont have the range and/or awareness to get to their spots. It leaves massive uncovered voids in the field for QBs to exploit and defenders are then out of position to make the tackle against the 49ers YAC machines.

Our defense sucked last year. But our LBs were better in coverage because Edwards was smart and has decent length, and White was athletic with great range. SF was not as able to exploit the short areas and middle of the field because the LBs were in passing lanes where they belonged. And we didnt allow as much YAC on the short stuff.

Howie screwed up big time by letting both LBs go, especially for so cheap.

This defensive scheme can not be played without LBs. We saw it with Gannon, and it improved when we went and added White last season. And now its crumbled again without White and Edwards.
