Here’s what makes it even more messed up.

Dallas has 3 losses.  We have 1.  With the gauntlet coming up, say we have 3 losses by week 17 and Detroit is still at 2 (look at their horrific schedule).

We need Dallas to keep winning so they have something to play for when they face off against Detroit.  You think they want to punch our ticket to HFA?  They need a reason to play at that point.

No worries.  I've seen folks that have declared that BOTH Detroit AND Dallas are going to win out.

Going into the season if you told me a rookie would be #1 and Sam Howell would round out the top five, I'd tell you to pass the pipe already.

We are 29-7 in the regular season since the "planting flowers" press conference.

Hurts is 28-4.

Games Lions could lose:

GB on TG- doubt it but Thursday game- weird things can happen.

Saints- in NO against a good defense.

They finish with Vikings-Dallas- Vikings- could lose two of those, but I hope they are both to the Vikings.

Umm.... Congrats?

Stupid Florio.  Howie heard that other teams were trying to trade for Surtain so he called about availability and price.  That’s what he does.  All good GMs should for a player of Surtain’s skill set.  Doesn’t mean Howie is trying to trade for him, it means he is checking in to see what the deal is.  Heck I wouldn’t be surprised if he even threw out a lowball offer to better understand the potential a Surtain trade might be out there and what the cost might be.  That doesn’t equate to trying to trade for him.  All lowball offers do is grade out a response.   A F no can be interpreted as he isn’t available, depending on where the other team stands.  A stratospheric response can be made to gauge real interest.  I have to wonder how bad a lawyer Florio was by the inability to understand negotiations that he demonstrates quite often.  The fact he, and others in the media, don’t understand Howie yet is surprising.  If in fact, a "the Eagles (or ‘another team’) has expressed interest leaks don’t get a yawn response from othe GMs would be stunning.  A good team always looks at opportunity.  Then there’s Jerruh waiting for his phone to ring with offers of players by other teams.

Literally? It might but it sure as hell isn't "literally” so since the Niners will get the bye if they win out and we lose once.

However, if we beat the Cowboys a second time, there is a very good chance it would force us to root for those a-holes when they play Detroit. And I sure as hell know that I wouldn’t "melt down” at rooting for the Cowboys if that were to happen that way.

Pretty much.  Beat the Cowboys and the division is virutaly a lock since it means over the next 7 games (not including one vs us of course) they have to make up 4 to surpass us.

Why? Easy decision to root for Dallas.

Always root for the best interest of the Eagles.

The Steelers are 6-3.

It's widely known that they haven't outgained any of their opponents.

What's more, only the Jets and Giants punt more often.

I know we have higher goals, but...

...with the Falcons and Packers losing, our magic number of wins to make the playoffs is now 4.

They remind me of Minnesota last year in a way. Every game they won has been a one score game (margin of victory 5 points). In every game they’ve lost its 2+ possessions (19 point average in defeats)

Jalen Hurts and the offense is good enough to win 3 road playoff games, even if we get bad luck down this stretch.

Crazy list.  Stroud is running away with OROY.  I need to see him play, but you never see Texans games.

Eric Bienemy deserves a ton of credit for what he's done with Howell.  Bigger than his numbers is the fact that Bienemy did ... something ... to greatly decrease that sack total.  Howell's been sacked only 7 times in the last 3 games.

F Dallas.  F Dak.

Dak stat pads against bad teams to make it look like he's not terrible.

I know the Eagles pass defense has been pretty bad and the offensive run game has been struggling, but I'm not too worried about the chiefs and think they match up well. chiefs also haven't been playing too well this year and have had a fairly easy schedule. The chiefs run defense is pretty weak and the Eagles will need to re-establish their dominant run game. Keep mahomes off the field and wear their defense out with long drives. Maybe this is a week we see Bradberry in the slot to match up with Kelce and Ricks on the outside. If the Eagles can get the run game going early, I think they can show the NFL who the best team is.

I watched some of Stroud Yesterday, he looks a solid player, he did throw a pick that was a poor decision and even worse throw at one point but other than that he's surprisingly good, especially when you consider his receiver room isn't exactly crammed with talent.

From a Cowboy fan...

Cowboys next two are very winnable games, after that they have five challenging games:

Seattle, Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, and Lions...Bills and Dolphins are road games.

I fully expect the Cowboys to lose 2 of those games and they will likely finish the season at 12-5. They will be lucky to host a home WC game...the Eagles just need to handle business, they don't need help, you guys need to see the glass way more than half full...the Eagles are in the drivers seat no matter the schedule.

That's a step.  The most important step is to get into the tournament.  Obviously, the best path is with HFA, or even just as many home games as possible.  But, step one is always important... get into the tournament and see what happens after that.

Pretty sure Roby will play so shouldn't need to see Bradberry in the slot.

We may finally get a chance to see our secondary settle in to their proper roles.

I get your point but this line right here says otherwise...yeh, they lost the game, but this line isn't against a bad team.

Watch this.  I first suggested that Kelce was bound for the HOF after his second All-Pro selection in 2018.  Folks didn't agree.  Oh well.
