YIKKKKES Nick. Your passing game runs through 3 guys? I mean, I get it but at the same time, what in the world? Yes, AJ, DeVonta and Goedert are your top 3 guys but that essentially tells me that they do nothing to game plan their RB as weapons in the passing game when all 3 have shown they can, yes I'm even including the guy I hate the most in KG. If this is how the coaching staff thinks, I don't see things improving.

Nick has said that before.  The passing game does go through those three guys, and it needs to.  Where the offense needs to improve is to stick with the runs when they're working -- even Gainwell was running between the tackles for 6-7 yards in the first half.  The RBs also need to be better utilized in the passing game; the RB screens need to be picking up more than 4.8 yards per play.  The OL should be built to run-block, so get them moving downhill at the defense more.

The first half offense has been a consistent problem the past 4 weeks.  6 and 7 points does not get it done when you need to score 30 points consistently to win games.

This is all DJ Elliotts fault. Would have been much different if Nick Ralliss, or whatever his name was, was still here.

The way that I read that though is RB is just an afterthought. The guys they have can be weapons in the passing game. It just doesn't make sense to me. Teams are also teeing off with the blitz....counter that with screens!

Anyone thinking Dennard Wilson was the solution or the reason for this, whew. Wilson didn't get a DC job anywhere.

That doesn't mean he wasn't deserving of one.

I hear you, and I always find it baffling when Hurts bails to the right ... and has no one on that side of the field to throw to.  Should never happen.

The blocking TE or RB staying in to block should be leaking out to the right to give Hurts an easy target, and occupy the defensive player to give Hurts an RPO

@mattwill

Eagles 16

Seahawks 30

DK 2 TDs

Are they tanking or did Dobbs turn into a pumpkin that fast?

I forget who it was breaking down the tape but they made a fantastic point about why Hurts never has any help. He noticed that so many of the Eagles plays have the players going to the left and Hurts continually rolls right so it's nearly impossible for them to help on his side of the field. I shared the video, I'll have to try to find it. That's another problem though. The coaches should be seeing Hurts tendencies and help him a bit. Coach the guys to help Hurts in scramble situations but also call plays that naturally go that way so when Hurts needs help, guys aren't on the opposite side of the field. Just seems like this coaching staff misses some of the most obvious stuff that can help the team.

OZ had 1 target, 1 catch for 28 yards.

It looks like he also agreed to drop his defamation counter suit. It's not  I have a hard time feeling bad for the guy.  He admitted to having sex with her earlier in the day and she was 17.  She has said it was not consensual.  I also don't think theres' a question of her being assaulted later at the party.

It has no creativity, Hurts only throws to three people, and they haven't scored a TD without the shove in I don't know how long.

The 49ers game.

Generally, I would agree that it's just coach speak but when you look at the numbers it really isn't.

AJ Brown 90 catches

DeVonta Smith 69 catches

Dallas Goedert 42 catches

I've got no problem with the top guys getting these numbers. I'd love to see DeVonta get more too!

The problem I have is that WR3 is a non-factor. Hell, WR3-5 have a combined 20 catches on the year so far.

Quez has 7 catches

Oz has 8 catches

Julio has 5 catches

Stoll has 4 catches (with Goedert missing 4 games)

The RB, I'd be curious to see how many of these were dump offs vs called RB plays. I know Gainwell is the king of the late half/late game prevent defense dump off.

Swift has 36 catches

Gainwell has 23 catches

Boston Scott has 4 catches

Lmao

and Smith and Brown are always on the field. If the Eagles didn't want Hurts throwing to Smith and Brown all the time,  the Eagles wouldn't have Smith and Brown on the field all the time.

Good point. Seems like these guys should take more plays off to stay fresh. Don't want to burn them out.

Agreed... if you consistently have a WR3 out there on the field gotta give them more looks so that defenses just don't go the extra mile to take away Smitty, Brown, and Goedert.

You also have to have better speed than they do. They’re slow. So sometimes it’s not even about that making the tackle, they don’t even get there to make the tackle. They are a slow defense. Add on not great at tackling. It’s why I keep saying their biggest issue is personnel driven. They are other issues. But that’s the biggest one.

Yeah they aren't the fastest but you don't have to be super fast to be in the right damn position and to knock the snot out of people. Some of these dudes aren't even in the same ball park and it's not because of speed but because they are clueless out there with their reads. Can't play fast if you don't know what the hell you're doing. That's a preparation issue.

I think there’s a legit complaint to be made about some of the offensive design.

Even the low number of targets to the RB.

But complaining that they try too hard to get our top 3 pass catchers the ball is just weird.

I mean, other than maybe a few more looks to Swift, who else do you want the ball to go to? Quez? No. Julio? Don’t really think so.

At the end of the day, they moved the ball very effectively against DAL, just quit fumbling the damn thing.

Pointing out said this past offseason they needed to upgrade their no. 3 wr and backup tight end. Not relying on those guys if you did it and had better options. Then not as inept when throwing to those guys.

The heat map of where the throws are going on the field is a larger concern. I think involving Goedert more, and maybe sprinkling some easy throws to the RBs would make the offense more efficient. The running game is how this offense got well in the past, it’s certainly what Spikeman would do.

Well, the roster is the roster now. But even if they did invest in a 3rd WR and back up TE, how many targets are you taking away from elite pass catchers to give them?

Idk but maybe you throw to them more cause it’s not Watkins out there dropping passes that are thrown right to him. Maybe hurts and the eagles coaches don’t have to hope all 3 guys just stay healthy to have a consistent pass offense. Also makes defenses actually have to respect someone besides those 3
