Sirianni seems on edge. ESP asked him a question that he started off being super pissy about and then ended up just kissing ESP's ass at the end.

Brian Burns would be a great pickup, but that would be a tricky situation. Reddick was already sorta pissed at his contract this past offseason, but played good soldier and is already at 11 sacks. I think he's going to be a little more disruptive if he's going into a lame duck contract year while they paid Burns a ton of money. Josh Sweat could also make a case for being underpaid and going into a lame duck contract year. Maybe you could make it work between all 3 but I think both Sweat and Reddick wouldn't be happy at all about it.

I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if reddick isn’t  back after 2024. Not saying they won’t but i don’t think it’s out of the question. Especially if they think they can get 25 year old Brian burns and reddick is going to ask for more and be 31 when the extension kicks in.

Your turn, Maddox. Same injury, get your ass back out there.

(Yes, I know not all pec tears are created equal, but F off, I'm pissy today. The Eagles need him, time to strap em up and return to play, fella)

He's just gonna get hurt again. It's inevitable. I really think it's time to consider going in another direction for slot CB next year.

Can't spell fundamentals without "fun".  Translation -- quit fumbling, you Ds.

I just can't remember a time when we talked about this so much. They had their bye like a month ago wtf, these are professional athletes.

That said, if they really are gassed, this is just about the dumbest thing Sirianni could do.

A monologue full of great, quotable lines.  When the movie first came out I used to say to my coworkers "See this watch?  See this watch?  This watch costs more than your car."

Oh boy, so it's going to be Aiden' O'Connell vs Easton Stick tonight. The matchup we've all been waiting for, no doubt.

@mattwill

Eagles 23

Hawks 20

Bonus - Goedert scores a TD

There have been some seasons in the last decade where things were looking pretty good for the Eagles record wise, but they didn't look all that great on the field and then things went completely south and snowballed quickly. There were moments like that with Chip and remember the Doug season I think it was 2019 where they lost 3 games in a row and each week everyone was like "Ok, they'll rebound" and then they lost again. Eventually they did go on to close out the season strong, but the team never looked the part all season.

I don't think this team is on that level. They're more talented, overall better, and much better positioned. But I'll say this... this Seattle game is a game where if a team has answers they win. I get not rebounding against Dallas it's a really tough spot. But if the Eagles go to Seattle and lay another egg, then this season is probably over. Not officially and not record wise, but it's one of those situations where it's like if you can't rebound this week and play respectably, when are you? And frankly, even if the Eagles did close out the season with 3 straight wins, no one would buy this team because of the opponents.

By faith in this team is riding very heavily on this next game.

I'd take the defense for most of those teams over this one

@mattwill

Last two weeks I picked loss (not jinxing didn’t work) and then win. Both epic fails. What to do with this week is the question.

Game ends in a tie

Eagles: 31

Seahawks: 31

Bonus: Buffalo sneaks past Dallas

We remain a half game ahead

J. Kelce doesn’t get a W against all teams, but recovers a Hurts fumble in the end zone for his first and only career TD

With a $21mm cap hit next year, I'm guessing he gets a short extension to push that out.

Sweat likely gets extended this offseason as well.

The offense isn't gassed. I'll bet they've had less than half the snaps the defense has had over the span of the gauntlet.

It's the defense that needs the rest. And to make things worse, they've shortened the rotation because they have no meaningful depth along the DL. It's just 4 or 5 guys that are effective and the rest are totally ineffective.

There goes that extra day of rest ha. Hopefully they went over that basic fundamental play book and made some creative decisions.

Not sure if it means anything for Monday but Cam Jurgens, Devonta Smith and Hasaan Reddick are all not practicing today.

So my wife and best friend just surprised me with tickets for the eagles/cardinals game. I’m coming in from Pittsburgh, and he’s coming in from Connecticut for the game. They set this whole thing up for my bday since I don’t get to see him that often anymore…anyway he’s a die hard Steelers fan and they play at 4pm that day. Is there any hardcore Steelers bars in Philly we could go hit up after the game?

I saw a video some months back that showed how for the last few years, ever since the NFL starting putting colors on the Super Bowl logo, it ended up matching the teams that played in it.

Last year it was red and green. The year before orange/reddish and blue. This year it's red and purple.

CJGJ tore his pec the same week as Maddox. Would hope that Maddox could make it back at some point in the next month but who knows.

If there's one guy that should get fired, it's Aaron Moorehead.

- He hasn't developed anyone. Almost everyone has regressed from year to year, besides AJ Brown who already came here established and Devonta Smith who was as close to a ready to go rookie as there is.

- No one can run pick plays, ever. I remember getting flagged for it all the time back in 2021 which would take away TD's and we still get flagged for it now.

- Our scramble drill still sucks besides it being a staple in the offense for 3 years.

- I can't think of much that improved you can point to him being here. The only reason we even have good WR's to begin with is because we spent a top 10 pick and then another 1st and 3rd.

I had to look it up a few days ago to see who the WR coach was.   I was stunned to see that it's still him.

That coaching spot was a revolving door for years. I think Lurie/Howie just didn't want to keep it going and had hoped he would work out with a new HC but I agree it's time to pull the plug

Sad thing is they've sucked at getting a good one for years

Funny part about stability...  The goal in having stability is for it to benefit you.   If you are bad, then keeping the status quo means that you remain bad.   That's not a benefit.  So, personally, I have no issue with continually churning up the WR coach position until they find one that might actually be good.   What's Terry Robiskie up to these days?   He's a little old, but maybe he knows someone that worked under him that can be brought in!

What's his son doing?  Maybe Brian wants to take a shot at coaching.

Find a guy that coached WRs are Clemson or Ohio State... they perennially push out top WRs.  They have to be doing something right, other than just recruiting.  Because they are great in the NCAA, then many of them go on to great things in the NFL too.    It shouldn't be this hard.   Trouble is, when they went to the college ranks, they brought in a guy who coached WRs are UNC!   Wrong ACC team!  And all that got us was to fall in love with Mack Hollins (or Matt Collins if you prefer).
