Not sure if it was posted. Kinchens improved his 40 time at his pro day. Combine 4.65. Pro day 4.57

Ehhh. I’m not trusting his pro day over his slow time on a fast track.

I trust it because he looks awesome playing football.

It’s not a lie if you believe it.

If he was on the slower end of normal at the combine it wouldn’t bother me, but a 4.65 is horrendous for a safety, and it’s not like he’s a big guy.

He’s not on my board until day 3. Speed is just too important at safety with how coverage works in the NFL these days. There are plenty of productive safeties who aren’t slow available if we want one.

We havent discussed TEs too much in here.

Eagles are using one of their visits on Theo Johnson out of Penn State. For the RAS fans, he’s out of this world. But he’s been an underachiever considering his physical gifts.

I’m guessing the Eagles are doing their due diligence because of his upside.

If they’re satisfied that they can coach him up he’d be a really intriguing day 3 pick to develop behind Goedert.

That is not what PFN has on their comprehensive pro day tracker.  4.57 there.

Brugler is pretty much the standard for this stuff.

I like these Cam Allen numbers (I know that the Kinch numbers will be better than the combine ones.   Sometimes what they do is take the pro day 40,  and add .05,  so that if you see a 4.40 somewhere on a pro day list,  and then you see a 4.45 on the ras site,  it's because they added .05 to the 40,  it wasn't a different source of info.)

Cam Allen is a likely udfa,  played often for Purdue, had a lot of Ints in college - 13, and was a high school QB.

• In addition to defensive back, played quarterback in high school and accounted for the 61 total touchdowns as a senior, the third most by a player in Virginia high school history
• Named 2018 first-team All-Region 2D as a quarterback and defensive back

Kyle Hamilton was 4.59 at the Combine and 4.56 at his Pro Day.  He was my favorite prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft and his 40 time didn’t bother me one bit.  He was 2023 NFL 1st team All Pro at safety.

4.65 and 4.60 are not ideal for Kinchens, and I certainly don’t rate him as highly as I had Hamilton coming out — but Kinchens is the best safety in this draft class.

Grand Canyon University, where we don't care if you know where the Grand Canyon is. Hell we don't care if you know what the Grand Canyon is. Can you play basketball?

Nevermind, after seeing this I realize we basically have the same opinion. The only issue is that CJGJ I'm pretty sure said he was signed to play safety, not nickel, so while I think this is by far the BEST combination because Gardner-Johnson looked amazing at nickel, I figured that was out of the question.

The way I've explained it to somebody is that playing from even with someone like corners do is a lot different from playing downhill towards someone, or on waiting for them to come to you. This is easy to prove, not every corner that plays press man or bail is the same as when they play with lots of cushion. It's kind of the same here if you think about it, right?

I think if Gardner-Johnson is able to be on someone's hip pocket, he's pretty good. But coming from downhill, especially to get physical, is not exactly his cup of tea.

Yeah, my fault. Didn't realize that you were onboard the nickel idea since like I said, I think he turned it down pretty directly.

My hope is that the coaching staff utilizes him where he's best, and they should realize pretty quickly he's better suited at nickel though they also signed that other dude. That said, if Howie did tell him he was being signed exclusively as a safety that would be pretty idiotic but that's par for the course with him in the back 7.

I like him as a player and regardless of whether one thinks his interceptions are too easy he at least puts himself in position to make those easy plays and then actually makes them. Last year this defense was allergic to playmaking even when the ball would hit them right in the hands. The biggest concern is his durability which is why not signing another safety and relying on a mid round rookie would be malpractice

Good: The Sneed trade should take the Titans out on Simmons. At very least, they have less ammo to up their offer
Bad: This makes it much harder to trade Reddick. It's likely post-draft if someone misses out on their EDGE targets.

Hard pass, for a variety of reasons... but mostly because the kid is no good.  If he had any ability at all, a bigger school would have picked him up... or he would have dominated at the small school.  He did neither.   Oh, and we don't need TO hanging around here stirring things up.

Looking at kick return options

1 TD in this highlight video of Isaiah Rodgers.

Already posted this one of Tyler Hall with a couple great kick returns.

And a Paris Campbell return

We have 3 legit options here. Which is nice since we usually have 0.

You mean 35?
