Sure, the cap charge is 95 total over the next two years.  But "only" is $67 million already spent.  If they wanted to move from Dak, I'd argue just make the room for $11 million now and shed the $29 million in salary this year.  Instead, you are paying an additional $29 million to have a smaller dead cap hit next year.

Then again, referring to Dak as dead money IS balls on accurate.

I wonder if Dak is asking for $60mm+ AAV -- something like 3/180, fully guaranteed -- and the Cowboys think there's no way he gets that as a FA and are going to let him find out.

The more likely answer is they are ready to move on, but maybe they will try and resign him after the year and the market dictates his real worth. Cousins, who was 36, got 4/180 with 100 guaranteed. So he's older but has had a very similar career (regular season success, post season failure). That's another data point that puts Dak in the 50-55 range, not 60.

I'm actually fine with it being on Amazon simply because I have prime for free shipping. If prime video was separate and you had to pay extra for it then I'd be upset about it

I hate it b/c I can't tape it and watch it at my convenience.

Absolutely not. You don't avoid a QB prospect of his caliber cause he's effeminate.

It doesn't let you rewatch them? I haven't tried. I think you can pause and resume though. I remember there was an option to go to the live feed

He's a headcase. He's got more red flags than a circus tent.

But how hard is it to say we drafted Cam Jurgens for this moment?  We have full faith in Cam coming in and taking over where Jason Kelce left off. Yes, results matter, but at the same time, the whole competitive advantage of not wanting to give away things is just plain silly.

Cam Jurgens was a stud at Center and looked the part in his rookie year.

Jurgens is the guy at Center it seems.  We all know this is the most likely scenario.

I don't think he said what he did for a competitive advantage.   What advantage is he gaining in March?  He probably said that so Jurgens doesn't get comfortable and feel like the job is automatically his.  Maybe he still wants him to earn it in TC.

When did he play Center in his rookie year?  I don't remember Kelce missing any games that year.  He might have been a stud in college but he's still unproven at C in the NFL.  Many think he can slide in as the Center and we'll get another 10+ years of elite play at the position.   I'm not so sure thats the case.  Hope it is but no guarantees.

Caleb Williams has a cannon for an arm, but his footwork is bad and there's way too many off-script plays.  The only way he's the next Mahomes is if he finds another Andy Reid to design plays.  He's got huge boom/bust potential -- but more likely to bust.

How the f can they manage this yr if his cap number is 60??

I agree about him playing superman too much but his footwork isn't bad and he doesn't run from the pocket too early often. Sure he can bust but he's still the best QB prospect to come out since Lawrence. Not taking him cause he's a bit of a weirdo would be silly.

From a GM standpoint you have to view it as if you’re going to be wrong, be wrong with him. Chicago lucked into this pick with Carolina being the worst team in the league last year. He’s the highest touted QB since Lawrence, maybe Luck. If you take him and he flops, from Poles perspective he really doesn’t have anything to explain other than I took one of the highest scouted QBs in the past 20 years coming out and everyone was wrong.

If they get cute, trade down, take another QB, and Caleb turns out to be the guy then that’s a disaster. And this is the same franchise that took Trubisky over Mahomes. Missing out on two potential generational QBs in less than a 10 year span would be catastrophic.

With the 9th home game, there should be 16 international games a year so each team gets 8 true home games and it's fair.

@RememberTheKoy

The new morning show on 97.5 is one of the worst shows I’ve ever heard. It completely takes away any of Kincade’s ridiculous personality.

Vince Young got himself knocked out recently in a bar fight.  Quite a sucker punch

Feel strongly that some team would give us a 2025 2nd at the NFL trade deadline.

I just don't understand why he's viewed as this can't miss prospect. His college career really wasn't all that impressive compared to other "generational talents". He had a Heisman season followed by a statistically good but objectively pedestrian season where his team lost 5 games and the only one he played well in was the loss against Washington. He had 1000 less yards and 12 fewer TDs than his Heisman season. I don't get the hype.

Caleb Williams is talented.  I think the question is whether he has the fortitude.

I don’t think he’s a lock but their defense was terrible this year.
