I didnt hear you complaining about coaching on offense last season either.

Turnovers were the main difference I believe. Yeah that definitely sucks

Steichen was better his second year too

Steichen was better than Sirianni and the offense got much better when he took over the play calls.  He was ascending.  Johnson was descending.  Very different arcs.

Exactly which is why I was asking why is he would be mentioned I’m still looking for the answer on the page that @ManuManu suggested but still no real answer as to why his name would pop up if he can’t make a lateral move

Huh?

what a ridiculous take, he wasn't great, but he didn't suck

he definitely needs to be better, but he wasn't put to a schematic advantage

I know, I was just adding to what @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! Was saying and what the FO might be thinking of they keep Nick and Johnson

I don’t disagree. But the Eagles are going to sell it as look at Frank Reich in the second year made a jump. Ditto with Steichen.

I think they are scared.    Paralysis due to fear of a step back... and yet, they were playing worse than the Panthers over the last 7 weeks.  Can they really step back?

The problem is, almost every player that leaves the Eagles plays better somewhere else. Of course hindsight is 20/20 but at the same time you have to look at how many of these players just didn't develop or play to their best level as Eagles.

The Eagles player development has to be near the bottom of the league. I can't think of a single player who took big steps in becoming a better player here.

I'd imagine this defense the last 2 years doesn't miss a beat if Steve Nelson was signed to his 2-year $9 million contract rather than Bradberry and his massive dead cap number we're preparing for once he's cut.

Players who got better here, among others:

Hurts

Mailaa

Goedert

Sweat

Williams

Blankenship

Covey

I keep going back and forth on what would be the right moves.... It's driving me nuts lol

It wasnt just the turnovers, which were mostly fumbles. It was also bailing the pocket early. Not moving around properly within the pocket to buy time to make the proper throw. Not going through progressions. Making bad decisions with the ball. Taking bad sacks.... Lots.

step back from 11-6....uh yeah?

I doubt we break .500 next season

It dawned on me that the cowboys were the only division winner to lose last week

That and health. And scheme. And talent

he definitely sucked. and many times while people complained about scheme, it was actually hurts just not throwing to an open WR. Likely there were some other communication gaffes on his part like we saw in the wildcard game as well when he sent two receiving options to the same area of the field.

No ifs about it, he will fail.

Go to A strip club and cheer yourself

up man

The over the top Hurts haters always were and always will be pathetic now that they've gone back to their full on hating ways.

The slow developing routes were forcing him

to hold the ball too

Just don’t wait until the Monday morning shift to go. That would be even more depressing.

Id rather wait and see the data

Since 2020, these are the Eagles draft picks-

2020: Jalen Reagor, Jalen Hurts, Davion Taylor, K'Von Wallace, Jack Driscoll, John Hightower, Shaun Bradley, Quez Watkins, Prince Tega Wanogho, Casey Toohill

2021: D'Vonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Milton Williams, Zech McPhearson, Kenny Gainwell, Marlon Tuipulotu, Tarron Jackson, JaCoby Stevens, Patrick Johnson

2022:  Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, Nakobe Dean, Kyron Johnson, Grant Calcaterra

2023: Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Tyler Steen, Sydney Brown, Kelee Ringo, Tanner McKee, Moro Ojomo

Out of these players, who can you say has taken significant steps in development?

2023 Starters: Jalen Hurts, D'Vonta Smtih, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Jordan Davis

2023 Rotational players: Jalen Carter, Milton Williams, Kenny Gainwell, Marlon Tuipulotu, Sydney Brown, Kelee Ringo, Quez Watkins, Nakobe Dean

2023 Reserves/ST: Nolan Smith, Grant Calcaterra, Jack Driscoll, Shaun Bradley, Tyler Steen, Tanner McKee, Moro Ojomo

Outside of D'Vonta Smith's natural next level talent, I can't point to a single player who is steadily improving and developing.

This team has a huge problem in player development.

Turnovers were the main difference to me. He started pressing once the defense couldn't stop anyone. The vertical routes damn near every play and screens didn't help. I'm guessing they passed more between the hashes last year... just a guess.
