Anyone else simultaneously refreshing their Twitter feed and F5'ing on ProFootballTalk hoping for Eagles breaking news while weakly going through the motions of work today?

Don't have twitter and Elon stopped non account holders from searching. So my news comes from the board or notifications from the eagles app

Yep, and Sirianni looks like a 14 year old boy trying to hang with the boys.

If they do fire Sirianni, I would prefer Vrabel of the available coaches.

I got a snow day.   :P   Add that to your list... although, if you are mostly remote, that wouldn't make sense.

I'm fully remote, and I also own the company. If my team wants to keep Super Bowl Monday as a paid holiday, they'll remind themselves not to expect much out of me on a day like today. This one woman who works for me is 57 and lives in Mexico City. 8:04a (her time) this morning... "I hope this isn't as bad as the Super Bowl loss last year, but I have a feeling it's actually worse." THANKS, Cynthia.

Siri hasn't had an answer for the blitz for 3 years now. 2021 we saw an up and down year end with an embarrassing loss to the bucs with Todd Bowles proclaiming "He can't read" in regards to Hurts not being able to read the defense. 2022 they were decent against the blitz because of their ability to hit big plays, but this was not consistent and a reliable blitz beater. 2023, well we all saw how that just unfolded.

We saw very early on in the year that teams had this figured out, the Eagles don't have answers for the blitz. They were one of the most blitzed teams in the league, and teams kept coming all year long because they just got worse and worse.

So anyone? Lol

I don't see Lurie hiring a defensive coach, nor do I think I'd want him to.

Employee of the Month.

Or, potential downsizing candidate.

Could go either way.  🤷‍♂️

Same.  Need a real OC here.  Have them bring in an established DC to rebuild this mess.

I tend to think that’s the way that lurie is gonna lean as well

Lurie has been enamored with all things Patriots (tried to buy them before the Eagles). I think if he cans Nick, he's going to want someone established. I could see Vrabel or Belichick.

I don’t care who they hire. I just want someone who has some identity and actually is a master at either side of the ball, and give all keys to the opposing side’s coordinator. Siriani doesn’t call any plays, idk what he does all game.

As long as it’s not McDaniels

I wouldn't cry about Vrabel. Just wouldn't be my top choice. He accomplished a lot with a sub-par team and an awful GM and owner.

I'd prefer an offensive HC that calls his own plays so we don't get discombobulated every time when the OC that calls the plays gets hired by another team

You liking Arthur Smith if Vrabel comes?

Saw this just now.  I have no way to verify this.  I mean, is this possibly true?

I feel like I did see way more screens for losses than gains.

I mean if you did basic math you could verify and would see this isn't true.

690 screen plays over 18 games would be roughly 38 screen passes per game.

I truly cant grasp why people would want to target him

This is my biggest selling point of a Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowik.

I prefer Vrabel.

Belichick/Vrabel and Hurts I think works personality wise. I'm not sure Lurie is going to fire a coach who was in the Super Bowl last year just to hire an up and coming OC with no experience as a HC. This locker room needs a leader, and frankly there is more to fix on the defense. If BB stays away from personnel, he's my top choice. We have seen an undisciplined, poorly coached team the last 1.5 months. That won't happen with Belichick or Vrabel.

Math is hard.

We want an adult in the room who has experience and players will rally around.

I stopped looking at PFT a long time ago, too much bad analysis and opinion in there. It's pretty bad now, especially for Eagles stuff. But yes on twitter.

38 screens a game? No lol

Same, but I think the chances of us hiring a D-minded head coach are slimmer than a 90s fashion model
