it's always next season for the Sixers.  and you call us stupid.

When you have a win now centerpiece, of course you build for NEXT season.    Morey dropped the ball with his obsession with James Hardin, which was absolutely a stupid, but 'win now' move.  Now, we're dealing with the fall out of that, which is to claim that the plan has been to build for next year, because he'd already screwed the team over for this year.

Someone needs to explain how Morey hasn't been canned yet?   Doesn't matter, I guess.   This is just the fate of Sixers fans now.

Meanwhile, the Washingteam will likely suffer the same fate.  They will reach a plateau and get to NFL purgatory, and Josh Harris won't know what needs to be done to get them over the hump.   That's the best case scenario for the Washingteam, the more likely outcome is that they will continue to be the laughingstock of the NFC East.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Wow, 2 years in a row the 1st round just falls to us. Q is longer and faster than Arnold and sure has Fangio’s seal of approval since the choice was there

Love tomorrow a trade back of 1 of our 2s for multiple mid round picks and probably a future one, los of fine prospects in positions of need

We already have 4 mid round picks, why trade back for more?  I could see a small move back from 53 into the top of the 3rd, but would want to counter that with a move up from 50 to get one of few remaining top quality players left in the draft.

I don’t like the value coming up in round 2.

The board broke really, really well for us and gave us incredible value at 22.  The players I expect to be around for our 2nd round picks are guys that I think belong in the 3rd round.  That’s where the depth of this draft starts to hurt.

I didn’t want to trade down out of 22, but I would look to move one or both of these 2nd round picks.

The Eagles have addressed a lot of needs this offseason.  Next year, we won’t have the same resources to get after it.  I’d love to see us roll those 2’s into next year.

Theo Johnson is a player that many of you like (because he’s from PSU), another group of you like (because he crushed the combine), that fits a profile the Eagles actually probably like, and that I also like.  I think there’s a very good chance he’s an Eagle before the draft ends.

No idea what board you are looking at. You have projected 1st rounds still on the board pushing better players to us that would have gone earlier in the second.

Thrilled with this second round board right now.

JMO…

The nfl draft started out as an incredible niche event for hardcore football fans and armchair GMs.

It has officially been stretched out, drawn out, and oversold into an absolutely brutal spectacle.  I think I’d rather watch the Oscars with my wife.

I followed this draft on my phone with the blog and the ticker and it was unquestionably better than watching.  Did the same thing last year and I’m never looking back.

I basically did the same. They just try to dramatize every little freaking thing. I haven’t enjoyed watching the draft since Gruden was doing it for ESPN (he was great for tv)

Oline today?

Knowing the Eagles, the two picks today will be OL and DL. Maybe WR.

Would be shocked if it didn’t happen.

Good morning. Quinyon Mitchell is an Eagle and we have 2 2nd rounders today. Let's get it.

That's usually how sports works.  I don't think any American league has implemented the you lose and you're eliminated from the league rule yet.

Oh yes you will.   The curiosity will get to you.

People are saying trade back today but what players left will be worthy of trading up for in the 50s? Which guys left are plug and play starters or have really high ceilings?

We’ll look who Brugler has us taking @TEW

Interesting thought. Not sure if pay a 2nd straight up but I get the concept.

Really want a top LB today.  Cooper and Suamataia would make me very happy

I've been doing that for years. Much better. 0 reason to watch

The ABC coverage with Saban on was solid. First year ever I didnt watch on ESPN.

I only started to watch around pick 17 until the Eagles pick and it was still painful.

In the minority but I thought the Penix pick for the Falcons was great. I don’t watch much college football anymore but this guy has been one of my favorite players over the last two seasons. He looks like a bigger, stronger Tua to me.
