The Eagles draft board consists of more than 52 names surely.  They should keep these picks and pick some good players.

Would you be disappointed if they turned one of those 2’s into a 2025 first?

Pretty cool story

Pats fans have turned on Kraft with him trying to smear Bill with the documentary and talking negative about him to the Falcons.

The best draft coverage is any website with a selection ticker, a generic best available list, YouTube for highlights, the blog, and the tv off.  Even when the Eagles are on the clock.  Never going back.

JMO…

The nfl draft started out as an incredible niche event for hardcore football fans and armchair GMs.

It has officially been stretched out, drawn out, and oversold into an absolutely brutal spectacle.  I think I’d rather watch the Oscars with my wife.

I followed this draft on my phone with the blog and the ticker and it was unquestionably better than watching.  Did the same thing last year and I’m never looking back.

You're right. Fans see their team's pick is in...then Goodell yaps too long and then they bring up special fans or whoever to call the pick and while they're at it, they give a speech or something.

I wasn't able to watch on TV so on my laptop I searched YouTube for a good live stream. I don't like Pat McAfee, but I saw he had Bill Belichick on. The rest of the panel were doing their usual clowning around but Bill gave good analysis. They also had guests on like Barry Sanders and others. And then they would show the pick quickly, then back to talking about the picks and showing highlights.

Belichick really likes Mitchell and had great things to say about him.

You just said the talent is horrible at our picks, why would anyone give us a 2025 1st rounder for it?

Wow, never thought the eagles would get mitchell without trading up.

Dudes a player, i thought hed be long gone and was hoping just Arnold might still be around

Vic is gonna love this dude

Draft steal.

Hopefully he pans out better than the last mitchell eagles drafted in the 1st.

The Mitchell before that one was just as bad.

Doesn’t that emoji mean that you’re not really thrilled? Ha

Anyways, awesome pick. Can’t wait to see him play for the Eagles.

I don’t think so…I took it as the Eagles thinking they were being sly and it happened according to plan.  Like Howie really had any clue that Mitchell would last to number 22.

Ha I guess the emoji makes sense then I just always thought it meant something else. Thought maybe they used it on accident.

I thought that emoji was a smirk, meaning that you were quite contented with yourself.

You guys have to realize the people running pro sports social media are girls in their 20s who live on social media all day. They post about the outfits the players are wearing and their dance moves in TD celebrations. They don't know the inside football discussions. They're just marketing. They put fun emojis and current slang phrases. They aren't trying to convey anything about the GM's agenda.

I pitched that. @ManuManu correctly said it's unlikely. But that's best case scenario.

Now I feel bad for him.

More likely would be a 2024 3rd and 2025 2nd.

Have a feeling we only pick once in 2nd whether it be a trade up, back, or both

Why would Bo Nix be selected in the first round?   Why would the Falcons only spend 45 minutes with Michael Penix, Jr. before making him their first draft choice, right after paying Kirk Cousins $90M guaranteed, with a $40M guaranteed (minimum) cap cost for 2025?  Ultimately, NFL teams do things that defy logic all the time.   So, while it may be inconsistent to believe that another team would want to trade into Round 2 this year, at the cost of a 1st round pick next year, given the evaluation offered, it is also a viable option given that each NFL team has their own independent evaluation on the talent available.   That said, we can't be certain that any team would be interested in making such a deal either.  So, we can only wait and watch.

Leonard Mitchell?

Looking at the current board, there is no big difference between a 3rd round comp pick and a mid 4th.

This is just not a deep class. Only bad move in RD2 is trading down for more 2024 capital. Stick and pick or get 2025 picks.

Hell no. I don’t think anyone would.
