The vibes are excellent keeping a lame duck HC who didn't hesitate to throw his staff under the bus.

Brutal

Was curious how this shook out:

#27 became Tre'Davious White

#91 was traded with #44 to move up to #37 -> Zay Jones  (Buffalo also got #149 which was part of another trade which... who cares at this point)

2018 1st rounder was #22 overall, where Buffalo moved up to take Tremaine Edmunds

So in essence they got 2 pro bowlers and Zay Jones.

Don’t forget they got a lifetime of mahomes beating them in excruciating fashion in the playoffs

So who are the good OCs that have failed at being HC? They could finally hire Josh McDaniels.

I love how the kicker is getting heat but everyone is forgetting early in the game the coach passed up a sure thing field goal to go for it and fail on 4th down.  Don't do that and we are having a conversation how he missed the game winner and they had to go to OT...

The real question now is if the new offensive coordinator has to cosplay his offense to Sirianni or if he will have the autonomy to run his own stuff. I seriously doubt Johnson got to, and that would likely limit the quality of candidate we can attract.

@bpac55 he’s gonna surprise her with butt stuff

Is he proposing a contract extension for their relationship?

Good.  Then fire them, too.   The only one that matters to me is Stoutland.

BUT... this is what happens when certain individuals at lower levels are scapegoated while others above them remain.   This would be where a complete overhaul would eliminate the in-fighting, animosity, etc.

He’s gonna need some cap flexibility in order to get the butt stuff.

Speaking of Bills.... Between the "mafia", snowballs, death threats and this, is anyone else getting sick of their fans?

I worry that he just isn’t a good enough passer to reproduce 2022, to age well, or to lead a competitive team that is limited by his $250m anchor.  More than worry…I just don’t think he can do it.

But he’s 25 and 2022 was 1 year ago.  He deserves next year to get right.  I’d prefer he get that chance with a new coach, but apparently that’s not in the cards.  Now 2024 will go south and he’ll get 2025 with a new coach.

If 2024 is a repeat of 2023…then it’s time to scheme for a way out of this, even if you don’t make any moves yet.

How about we scheme some people open with our JV offense?

Who did he throw under the bus?

Firing Desai, BJ and letting go of Patricia were most likely Howie and Lurie's doing.

Nick seems like the type that will stick up for his team no matter what.

And the defense never gets meaningful stops.

Bigger question going into the next few days......

When is the WR coach Moorehead getting fired?

I'm sure staff members were upset as well when Juan was let go as DC 🙂

I'm sure they were.  The hiring of Castillo as the DC was the beginning of the end for Andy Reid here.  It really came down to the decision to bring in Jim Washburn.  They wanted him as the DC, but he didn't want it.  So, he came as the DL coach, but dictated to the DC what the DL would do (basically, all wide 9 all the time) and very few (if any) DCs wanted that dictated to them.   Juan allowed for that as part of him being 'promoted' to a coordinator position.  And then they replaced him with Howard Mudd on the OL... Mudd being Washburn's BFF.  And who knows if the move of Castillo was actually dictated by Washburn as well.  Maybe he had Mudd coming with him as a condition as well, and then the Eagles had two problems.  Problem 1 - move Castillo from OL to something else.   Problem 2 - they couldn't find a DC to work with Washburn.

And all of that came crashing down.  Really the only good thing to come from that experiment was that Mudd seemed to be instrumental in identifying Kelce in the draft.

Firing everyone but the guy who created this mess. Make it make sense

Which one are you referring to?  Sirianni, or the guy who hired Sirianni?

Only if he comes with a 30 year old Tom Brady.

Nah.  In either case, they were giving the ball back to the Chiefs with a ton of time and timeouts.

Even schmoopie said "I thought the Bills were supposed to have a good defense".  Outside of Kelce and Isiah Pacheco, Mahomes really doesn't have any weapons (Rice is getting there) and they still couldn't stop them.

If that was the case then Nick would have been shown the door like Pederson.  Doug stuck up for his guys and it cost him his job.

Unless it requires him to lose HIS job, apparently.   He wasn't willing to put his own head on the chopping block to save their jobs.

Are you kidding?  He spearheaded the WR turn around.  Now we have two top flight WRs.  He's a guru...
