Kork, Morris, House gone and 4 2nd round picks. For Buddy and some buyout players.

Not sure we have much left to offer for anything significant, hopefully the buyout market pays out.

Would have been a good trade oif Embiid were playing, but Hield barely moves the needle without Embiid.

Buyout market won't help us at all.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

@judunno one guy who I will not be making a thread for is Braelon Trice. He gets most of his sack production on coverage sacks, cleaning up off other pressures when the QB steps up in the pocket, and the occasional stunt. Theres not a lot of Trice just winning outright against his OT.

Hes a strong player, and may be like a Vinny Curry type in the NFL, but even Curry had more burst off the line. Trice looks pretty limited athletically.

So, motor but no burst?

They didn't have the ammunition to make a 'move the needle' move without Embiid.  But, what they didn't do is mortgage next year for this year.   And that's a positive.

It seems pretty clear to me that the Sixers have given up on this season, and who can blame them? I think they're shedding contracts for a big 2024 offseason. I'm thinking Siakam will be  the big target. Out with Harris, in with Siakam. Pretty much a push in terms of contract and they have room to add more players.

Trading Pat Bev for Payne is awful. Completely misses the mark. Good vet, energetic defender, hard worker, and someone who is Philly. Man Morey really stinks.

I believe the idea is to acquire Kyle Lowry once he is bought out.  So it's saving a little money here and will net us a better player in return.  Wonder if they're going to move Payne but he does have some skills and does seem to have a big game in the playoffs each year

$300k In savings doesn’t seem worth it at all. Lowry and Pat Bev would’ve been amazing lmao. Why not pair the two most annoying guards to opposing teams?

Lmao WIP is asking people their favorite Philadelphia athletes from the past and a taller says Riley Cooper and immediately gets hung up on.

Good point.  This summer will he Morey's last hurrah.  He either nails it or gets canned.  With the available FAs being underwhelming he will have to make some nifty trades.

They will turn him into a player.

Lowry is 36 and can dribble.

Add him to the list of players we traded too early for too little and flourished elsewhere. It's a very long and frustrating list.

Yep, give me CBP or WFC rocking with Philly fans over an in house DJ

The Rock is a big dude, and he looks like a regular sized guy against Mailata and isn't nearly as ripped

Why?  He's basically uncuttable until 2026.

Lower is cap hit and keep him on the team longer
