Gainwell becomes what he should be, a third down back.

No thanks. We're paying Barkley way too much money for him to sit on 3rd downs. Kenny's only job is to keep Barkley's seat warm until he's tired and needs to sit out a play or two sporadically.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Gotta be fun to be @ManuManu whose probably sipping cocktails on a lazy river somewhere completely oblivious to the Barkley news

Lol. I threw my back out and I’m now at a prompt care. I’m not sure what hurts more, my back or paying a 27 year old RB top of the market money.

Yes

Barkley can pass protect, so that’s cool.

Agreed, we need the opposite, a Lagarette Blount to keep Barkley fresh. Barkley is always in on 3rd down

On to more important things. Going to be nice seeing a RB in a RB # assuming Barkley keeps 26, which is open.

Eli Ricks is my initial guess with who claims #0. Runner up goes to Huff.

and now he is a bargain because hes the best OG that signed today, and it wasnt even the highest paying contract.

I'm loving it. Get Smith under a long term deal next and I'll be happy. My favorite player on the team

I was not in favor of spending on a rb at all and I’m still in shock, but Barkley was absolutely a tier 1 player last year. I can’t tell you how many times I said "wow, if only he had an offensive line” while watching him play. Still feel this is too much of a risk but that doesn’t mean he isn’t crazy talented because he is.

I think people have some super anti-giants bias or haven’t watched him play. He’s very talented.

How is he at run blocking when Hurts takes off?

How do you throw out your back floating on a lazy river?

Yup. Run him into the ground

Get him Howie! Go OT, CB, LB in the draft with the first 3 picks

barkley was never mistaken for a power runner until you did it just now. funny. it seems like no one has ever watched him play before.

The biggest upside to his game IMO is his receiving out of the backfiled on quick swings and screens, he's dangerous in open space.

I just looked at my avatar "big moves coming" and laughed. What a guy.

And we know he's not done

Lots of RBs fall off a cliff around 27 years old.

Curious... when he got hurt those couple of years was it on that trash home field of the Jersey Giants?

Thats an interesting question.

QB market is insane

Always 6 teams thst don't make the playoffs the following year. Put it in pen for the Dolphins

Hurts better not turn the ball over another 49 times this year. Not with this talent.

he wont. how does 50 sound?

why do some of you keep thinking that games played is a good stat to combat the injury prone label?

When Barkley plays 60% of his games played at about 40% of his ability hes still injury prone and slowed down by injury whether he missed the game or not.

Yeah, because no other NFL player is playing through injury.
