  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Does Barkley make the Eagles better and force defensive coaches to have to game plan for? Yes and yes. Be thankful and move on.

It will be either him or CJ it seems at this point unless Rodgers doesn't get reinstated and we need a nickel which would make them lean CJ I'd imagine

lol Dak’s brother

Kellen Moore has to be ecstatic with the amount of weapons he has on offense.  Motion addition with these weapons and if Jalen can cut down turnovers which this offense should be easier to do could make for a amazing offense to watch.

The one thing I noticed watching barkley run from last year is he doesn't seem to have the breakaway speed like in college but if you give him a hole he gains like 7-10 yards all the time with a burst that you didn't see with our other running backs

Wasn't my first choice but I'll take it.

Get a safety, a linebacker and a third WR and that’s pretty much a wrap until the draft.

Who else is left

Hopefully someone who can actually tackle.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the Eagles sign CJGJ and Simmons with CJGJ playing a hybrid role.

But I’m more interested in guys that could cover. The defense was bad at everything but I can’t handle guys running wide open every week again. One thing both of those guys can do is cover.

Unlike Byard who people hyped as a legit top-5 safety, Simmons actually is one.

Smitty contract and two mid level safeties/LBs to round out the initial free agent haul.

Wonder what Chase Young will cost, I could see a budget friendly deal where we can let go of Sweat after next season, possibly for much cheaper. Allows more depth at the position for a year.

Reddick has a Million dollar roster bonus tomorrow. I expect news today.

I'm not the biggest Jordan Fuller fan, but he definitely fits our timeline.

Simmons, CJGJ and Jewell. That would be a dream scenario (we aren't meeting Queen's number). CJGJ is more of a slot than a safety to me.

I hope so.  I know @vikas83said he was still 2nd team all pro.

But  I'm concerned,  statistically his season was not impressive.

On the other hand,  Byard had nice stats but sucked.

So I don't know what to expect.  I'll just go with it.

If they still have 30M and extend him freeing up 11 more,  we can evens Smitj AND still make another big splash.  And sign a few cheaper guys.

S is one of those positions where solid play doesn't always show up on the stat sheet and is more scheme dependent than CB. I would be pretty pumped to get him, but didn't think we could afford it after Barkley, Huff signings, and Lando's extension.

Meanwhile...Dallas has no left tackle, center or running back. But I'm sure we'll hear all offseason how they are all-in and Super Bowl contenders.

Bye

The only reason I'm not roasting you is because you technically haven't said anything against CJGJ playing slot. He is a great slot. But he shouldn't be anywhere near safety. Some people were unhappy with Blank's tackling this year right? Even though he did pretty well? Okay...

This is Blankenship, right? Sorted by highest percentage of missed tackles to low. 8.9% seem high? Kay.

Yeah now here's CJGJ. Note the 7.5% is his rookie year, he's actually gotten even less consistent as he's moved to safety and got exposed to tackling situations more. He absolutely cannot tackle. I can't understand for the life of me why people want him if they weren't happy with Blank's tackling - CJGJ managed to miss the same amount of tackles as Blank did, twice...

...With only a little over half the total tackles he had. And has a higher missed % than Blank in every season except said rookie year.
