This is the problem, from where I sit.  I have zero confidence in Blankenship, Nakobe Dean or Sydney Brown but I get the feeling the Eagles do.

I'm a big fan of Sydney Brown but he's going to miss the first month of the season maybe the first 6 weeks

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Imagine saying a dime piece like that is overrated

The issue with Nakobe Dean is he cannot be relied upon as he's been injured or not getting snaps for 2 years.  No team can rely on him being anything but a spot player who may do well or may get injured. A good kid for sure, but as it's stands, unreliable as NFL player

WAY WAY:offtopic: Very recently watched a horror movie called Pearl, which as I learned was a sequel to a film called X. The lead is an actress named Mia Goth and her performances, especially in Pearl were the best I’ve seen in years. Oscar quality, I swear. Astounding. I’m not a horror movie buff at all; just saying she was great. If anyone has seen it or cares to see it, let me know what you think by private message.

Actresses 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago were much better looking than today.

Hollywood doesn't want to make women insecure by putting their best up there.  Also,  some think that gigantically fat is good and to be appreciated.   They're just not trying to make money.  Maybe they make money in lump sums from ideological bankers.  No reason to give them money these days.

Biel is in the older, better category.

Ummm what?

What do you think about this? Good horror movie? Solid sex scene before the hot girl gets slaughtered?

Schematically, Barkley needs to be another instrument toward getting the ball out of Jalen Hurts' hands.  He also needs to open up space for AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.  The only way he does that is by being a weapon in the run and short-passing game.  Hurts needs to be a distributor of the football first, and a playmaker with his legs second.

What the Eagles need to figure out is, what exactly is Hurts if you take the ball out of his hands and make him a distributor?

I’m hoping that Kellen Moore wants to utilize the Eagles RBs in the passing game more than what we’ve seen in recent years.  Not just for dump offs and routes, but also pass protection.  I think Barkley fits in that regard.

And all QBs are distributors.  Hurts can certainly benefit from having the ball in his hands less.  Just about every QB could.  If he stays healthy, I believe it will help the Eagles offense be more efficient and less predictable overall.  to me, that is the more important thing… AJ, Brown and Smith can create their own space because of their abilities. Yes, Barkley can help with that…

HP didn't like it.  I loved it.  If you check out the Horror thread, we discussed it there.

Yes, but I'm speaking in a "run more than 100 times and get injured every year" context.  That needs to stop.

Howie missed out , unsurprisingly

Not to worry, Howie never misses and he never gets caught without a plan.   He's always one step ahead of the rest of the league.

They mentioned that they don't think anything is guaranteed on the Eagles end unless he makes the team.

In my journalism days, I was sent to cover a hometown player on the Warriors. Gilbert was a notorious prankster, but was a habitual line stepper. I was with the hometown player and he told me we’d have to sneak away because Gilbert had been trying to find out where he lived. After we got back to the condo, Gilbert pulled up, rolled his window down and yelled "I got you!” The next day he broke into his garage and trashed it, leaving dead fish in there.

Another time, he stole the guy’s NBA pager and sent a message to the league office as him, saying he was going to come out as the first gay player in league history. That caused a minor stir with the league and team.

Lol. Sounds about right for Gilbert. He was always a prankster. His nba draft combine story with Jefferson that they told on the podcast is a classic. Met a lot of Arizona basketball players. He was honestly always super nice to me. Have a couple stories with salim stoudamire and Luke Walton. Have a drinking story with Derrick Williams. Got an ayton story after the whole scandal broke. Played basketball with   nick foles (he’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet) and nick folk story. Tucson is such college town you always wind up meeting them and having a story.

Free agency kinda blows for us today huh
