You miss the kick return... well, 6 touch backs would have been nice today

No excuse for the other team to turn it over 5 times and still lose. That takes talent

So I didn’t get to watch the game but did we lose this game because of the QB or the fact our D couldn’t stop them from scoring? We gave up 36 points

Both. And errors at bad times. Better to lose today than in the playoffs. Trying to be positive.

Yeah... 33 points was horrible... bad pass to Smith at the end...and Pickett should have blitzed on 4th and 11....really all Pickett's fault🤦🤦🤦🤦

I said it was a TEAM loss. Is what it is. Pickett is below average though. I will stand by that. Eagles got 33 points because the other team had FIVE turnovers….it is what it is though.

Not at all on the QB... one turnover early... they put up 33, Hurts left they had 7.  The key play was 4th and 11 when Fangio keeps the 4 man rush... they let Daniel run for 30 yards, game would have been over there.   The other key play was Smith dropping a pass that would have been a first down at the 2 minute warning inside their 10.  one time out left, 3 kneels downs and a FG would have given them 30 seconds to score a TD without a timeout.

The lesson here should be to attack the rookie QB and force him to pass quickly.  They couldn't run on us.  We tackled fairly well.  But we give them time or rush with 4 and leave the lane open, they move the ball on us.   And the kickoffs were brutal today, they started at their 40 like every drive, unless we added a penalty.

CGJ also got 2 personal fouls because he won't STFU... got ejected.

We also found out Lattimore can't cover AJ.

Sure you will stand by that... you made the comment out of emotion.  Dude came in cold and les the team to 33 points.  With drops.  Excuse him for one turnover.   But if not for pass interference he would have had much better #s.

Smith dropped the ball... pretty much the only thing you can put on the offense.   The defense couldn't contain the QB and the kickoff coverage was brutal.

Still annoyed at Fangio for not blitzing a rookie running QB on 4th and 11.  Really didn't even seem prepared that they might even go for it.  Just brutal there.

The positive is that one win or Washington loss and we dont have to play any of the starters the last week.  Would prefer to just beat Dallas with Pickett and be done with it.

Give a week to design some runs where the QB is under center.

And the beauty of it is, Smith and Barkley catch the ball...and we are 14-1.   Good week to remind them of that, in this town you can bet that is going to be brought up.

Elliot made his kicks... curious as to if they decide to use him to kickoff going forward?

You think that having the running QB use the read option... is a reason why Pickett coming in running the same offense, could be a reason why he didn't look so good on some plays?  Yet then looked pretty good on some other plays?   Executing on 2 key 4th down plays?

Just looking at the stats looks as though Pickett gave us around the same passing avgs we have had for most of our winning streak…. Granted he obviously didn’t give us the rush yards we gain from Hurts though.

Either way though not sure you can ask for much more from the backup QB to score 26 points after replacing hurts…:

I mean...he wasn't a world beater...but he hasn't played... and he goes in for a running QB.

You figure if they game plan with him for a week...the plays will be different and he won't be as rusty.

But big picture ... if Hurts doesn't play next week... and it turns out the last week doesn't mean anything... could be Hurts doesn't play for 3 weeks going into the playoffs.

So Saquon has 1838 rushing yards only what 267 yards away from tying the all time rushing record in a season.

Do we really think we will bench him final game if he has a legitimate shot at breaking the record?

Why won’t the league "allow” a player to decide if he plays after hitting his head on the ground? Hurts was clearly dazed, but dazed is NOT concussed. I think the league has gone TOO far in this area. Any thoughts on that?

Against the Giants? No chance. And the OLine will insist on playing too.

The OL is honestly why I think Saquon will want to go for the record because the big boys want it… otherwise think he wouldnt care but he is that team first guy and if the OL wants it he will ask for it…

Siri will likely let him play for it he’ll look back at the last giants game Siri asked Saquon if he wanted to get his personal best rushing that game…. Saquon opted not to but Siri left that decision up to him

I think dazed is concussed. We always just shook it off.

C’mon Joe. You watched the game. You have a good football IQ. There were a LOT of reasons the Eagles lost. Stupid penalties. A KEY dropped pass. But Pickett did not help the offense much. And the opponent’s defense changed because they know he is below average. Barkley got stuffed….except for ONE play. Hurts does add a LOT for Barkley. You know I don’t love Hurts because he cant process a defense. I see Pickett as a liability for Barkley’s success. He has an average arm. He is a statue. Bad combination.

Interesting. I disagree completely, but I am curious what everyone else thinks so thanks for responding.

There are different levels of concussions

This is a very interesting subject all in all. The league was blocking concussion information for so long….kind of like how the tobacco industry hid things. But now they are getting the info out there. So people/players should have a right to make their own informed decisions.

It’s a 3rd party doctor that has to evaluate players and decide if they can return when it comes to concussions. Think it’s the right approach by the nfl on this one

Mmmmmm to many young players on first deals would likely feel forced to play and I’m sure it would also then turn into teams highly hinting to players hey you need to make the decision to return to play over taking care of there actual health.

Real slippery slope stuff. At the end of the day think it hard for a player in the moment to realize and injury might be more serious then they think with all the adrenaline and stuff pumping in them

Most every Dr I’ve talked to suggests you just don’t play football…period.
