Go watch Kansas City... then you will see about a dozen "almost losses"

The difference...their offense makes plays at the end.   Our offense is good with a lead.... coming from behind...tell me the last game they won at the end?

KC aren’t a great team this year. Minnesota aren’t a great team this year. Neither worry me (though the Chiefs I guess do because they have the officials).

As for your question… Yeah I don’t know the answer. Not this year I don’t think. I guess the closest is the Pittsburgh and NO games the offense came alive in the fourth quarter.

Really insane to me how people act like Kenny Pickettt was horrible last week dude gave us what 26 points after Hurts went out and threw a perfect pass to seal the game that Smith dropped.

I mean he wasn’t a world beater but he did do enough coming in cold with a game plan designed for Hurts who had a completely different skill set to Kenny

He wasn’t horrible but he wasn’t good. He got 3 huge PI calls that gave the offense big chunk plays. He was given numerous opportunities with the turnovers and he did little with them. He wasn’t horrible but he really wasn’t good.

I look at it as he came in cold with a game plan designed for Hurts who is completely different then him…. And still we dropped 26 points at that point you can’t ask for more from him.

Now this week with a full week as the starter it’s different but last week he did enough to win for us it was on the ST and D that we lost or at least that is how I see it

And again it isn’t that I think Pickett was great but he is the backup and he put up 26 points and threw a perfect pass to Smith which would have sealed the game if he caught it.

I mean the easy response is he didn’t do enough because we didn’t win 😊. But I do get what you mean and look 26 points from your back up is not terrible. I just think he’s very limited and we will punt a lot.

We punted a lot with Hurts pre bye. What worked with Hurts was the ground game using Saquon and Hurts in tandem the threat of the read option etc then occasionally throwing the pass and PA.

Pickett is different he doesnt give the threat to run as much to Hurts…. Going more traditional would likely benefit us under center run the ball then PA off that.

Similar to Hurts though we should not need Pickett to throw for 360 yards and 4 tds just key completions on key downs

Sure would be nice if we could win one game…..ONE W without Hurts.

Didn’t elevate our FB

And I’m not sure I trust Pickett to make those key completions on key downs.

So word is we are going with Oren Burks to replace Dean instead of Trot.

Right... but at the very very end... you picked 2 times our defense allowed the other team to come down and score at the end... both of those games our O could have iced it with a catch.  But also, vs ATL had a legit shot to win at the end AFTER giving up the leas.

That's our one area that concerns me, the very end game winning drive from the offense.

Right..... the PI meant he didn't get the stats.  Correct.  His passing stats didn't reflect the yardage and damage done due to PI instead of the completions.

Where you could see the difference...the run plays were all game planned with a running QB.  Now with a week to change it to game plan for a non running QB, we should see a difference... then the run game should help the pass game.

The easy response is 33 points and threw a pass that was dropped at the end that would have iced the game... and the defense gave up 22 points in the 4th quarter....that's the easy response really.

He needs to share his intangibles with the defense.

You mean like the 2 fourth down conversions and the ball dropped by Smith.....all in the 4th quarter????

Just like the last few weeks

lol you mean like Minshew beating the jets in 2021…. Hurts hasn’t played in what like 4 meaning games since 2021 not counting all starters resting final game of the season.

what are we like 1-3 in those games. Mind you two of those games them the backup QBs put up 30+

But clearly it was because Jalen Hurts wasn’t playing not because the defense let up 36 points and 40 points

Didn’t pickett make the throw to smith to seal the deal? He can’t catch the ball for him but the ball was in a good spot and should have been caught by Smith.

Not like the ball was behind him or in traffic about as easy a catch in the NFL as you’re going to get.

If our defense plays like they have prior to Washington and after the bye week and Pickett doesn’t make mistakes should be an easy win today

I would like to see McKee play some meaningful snaps. Idk how good or bad he is . We will play the guys we pay first but if Pickett sucks don’t wait until. 3 mins in the  4th then expect 3 scores

Bo Nix has a cannon . He’s going to be a hot qb next year.
