I don’t think the Huff move was Fangio. Now it’s easy to see this as cherry picking. But the whole dust up with Reddick was already in the works so far ahead of Fangio getting here….I mean returning. The Huff tradeoff from Reddick felt like a move Rosie had working very very far in advance. Sweat is kind of a toss up. Felt like he easily could have been gone. Rosie, Fangio…or both on him is much harder to pinpoint. Thought he had a very good season for us. Really worked out for us.
January 8, 20251 yr Fangio is off to a legendary start. 31st ranked pass D into the league’s best D. Coach of the Year right there.

Hurts also needs to LOOK for the slot guy which is read 3/4 and he is weak doing that So... 1. All of them are on rookie deals...all are cheap and all can still improve 2. If you think Hurts has some of the blame...even more reason not to change 3. I forgot Covey I just don’t see them prioritizing that next year. Williams, Sweat, Graham...all could be out next year. We could lose Becton and Johnson on the OL....Fred not Lane TE is another spot... we lose Gainwell we may need a 3rd RB. What about DBs or LBs Idk...just don't think they worry about WR...think they will let the young guys develop
January 8, 20251 yr I actually think I’d rank the Vikings as the most favorable matchup. Not sure their regular season wins amount to much postseason success.

Dean/ Baun Only Slay and Blankenship remain in the back 7. Much different D when those 2 guys are your two best, compared to possibly being the 2 weakest links in the back 7. Not to down play Fangio... but players matter. The league will always be player driven.

He will take off before looking for read 3. Calcaterra did step up some, but Goedert gets hurt alot now it seems. IDK that we draft RB3(or 2). I believe Howie would snag one in FA. Who knows. It's the annual crapshoot

He's going to get tired of killing his body soon so RT would be high on my list. Howie likes to give guys time to improve before taking the reins from a pro bowler

We draft one every 4 years... so that one walks and the next guy is locked in for 4 years...Shipley has 3 years left... so possibly a late draft pick, but I think a UDFA.

How high we go is anyones guess. We saw how we looked awful in TB(forget the heat factor) with both AJ and Smitty out

Yeah Bark has 2 more years left and I'm sure we will do a re-sign on him if he is still playing at a high level. RB 2's aren't that tough to find. I don't keep track of contracts so you would know more than me. I just look at "usable" players

Fangio really hit a home run with his personnel choices.

KC and Lions have the week off Sorry, just saw this... yes starts this week.... that's part of the strategy... the top teams miss a week. You have to take that into consideration when drafting your players. So you have 4 weeks of scoring... KC and Detroit guys will have week 1 scratched out... no points for them this week. Say you draft Goff or Mahomes, I draft Allen, Hurts or Lamar ... I may start 30 points ahead of you... but then if my QB's team loses, I' done... the following weeks get scratched out. You have to strategize... do you take Mike Evans over Jamison Williams? Evans might have one big game ... Williams might have 3 ok ones and get you more points at the end.

Yes... from an 11 win team with all these mistakes corrected and getting a guy like Fangio over last year's mess at DC... logically one would predict more than 11 wins... not to mention the easier schedule

The biggest mistake Howie fixed was getting the cancer out of the locker room ... it's ironic he goes to NY and becomes a cloud that probably killed their season or at least was a key catalyst for that. Howie gets what probably will be a early 3rd round pick out of it... lol. Mysteriously Nolan Smith gets playing time after the cancer leaves and looks like a player. One thing you gotta give Howie credit, I think he learned from keeping Peters around way too long... 2022 the cancer had a great year now doubt, but the calendar stops for nobody!

Okay sure… I mean I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying this team has had an extremely good regular season. But time to move forwards and if this season ends Sunday then that’s a huge huge disappointment.
