January 16, 20251 yr I can’t imagine me ever saying I’m the only one doesn’t lick Rosie’s nuts either. Assumed you were pretty much the only one manning that job.

January 16, 20251 yr Just re-watching the Packers game and in the 4th qtr with 4:53 left on 1st and 10 right after GB turned the ball over on downs I counted 10 hats in the box for GB and Bark STILL ran for like 6 yds! So the reason I'm not too worried about the Rams is that their D is smaller. Just how will they stop this? They may slow it down, maybe get a few TFL's, but they're not going to shut this machine down lol.

We will run that ball right down your throat!
January 16, 20251 yr Just like his coach says about him as he starts to answer questions each time they bring up his name. Kudos to the coach for spending time and listening to his QB on how he wants to play the game. Taking care of the ball and doing whatever it takes to win, without caring how it looks or how people perceive him. I think the QB actually prefers not having his arse kissed like it was going into 2023, likes being doubted.

They even created a whole "legal tampering period” recognizing this fact. Same old stuff different decade. They probably gave us nailed if they so choose to make a stink about it. But it would really just highlight something the whole league is engaged in. Something they really will never be able to fix. GMs and agents are going to communicate. Clearly you didn't get it then and not sure you get it now. Tampering is talking to the player...not the agent. It's why you started with the first sentence...clueless. They couldn't ever get us by making s stink about it, because the only way to get us was having Howie speak directly to Barkley. Not difficult to understand.
January 17, 20251 yr What is the legal tampering period? The legal tampering period is a two-day negotiating window that takes place before free agency begins During this time, teams can negotiate with the agents of pending free agents Players can't sign with new teams until the league year officially begin
January 17, 20251 yr So if there is a legal period that’s very defined when you can negotiate with agents….what is it when you negotiate with an agent before this new legal time period?
January 17, 20251 yr In 2012, the NFL implemented a "legal tampering period" that allows teams to start negotiations with the representatives of unrestricted free agents before free agency officially begins. While contracts cannot be finalized or signed during the legal tampering period, deals can be agreed upon (and these consummated deals often get reported).

January 17, 20251 yr On Friday the Eagles OC will interview virtually with the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars. On Saturday it’s the New Orleans Saints
January 17, 20251 yr To go all the way back to almost a year ago for a quote that didn’t even really support your claim ever….brutal. Time well spent!

You can talk to an agent any time. Howie and an agent are allowed to be on a phone call together...AT ANY TIME. There cannot be any contact with the player directly! Tampering is speaking directly to the player...it's what occurred with ATL and Cousins.

If Barkley had a birthday, Howie wasn't allowed to call him directly and wish him a happy birthday... that would be tampering regardless if they don't talk football.
January 17, 20251 yr 5 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: Against the rules….but happens all the time The team and an agent are allowed to be in contact at any time.. that is not against the rules. The Eagles were investigated because the Penn State coach said that Howie talked directly to Barkley. There was no reference or mention or the idea that Howie was being investigated due to any time frame. Go try to find any mention of an illegal conversation with an agent. You won't find it. The investigation was if Howie spoke to Barkley directly.... that's it. Why is it so difficult to comprehend?
January 17, 20251 yr 6 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: Against the rules….but happens all the time Atlanta was found guilty of tampering because there was contact directly with Cousins...they were not fined due to contact with his agent prior to any time frame. The direct contact with Cousins was illegal... that was the " tampering " Why you are confused is because they label the time when you can openly announce that there is a pending deal as a " legal tampering period " for people like yourself who don't get it, that's probably a bad word to call it They should call it the " legal announcement period" it's obvious that teams and agents are talking before the " legal period " they just use that period to announce #s. This way it allows the teams 2 days to get their books in order, knowing certain free agents are planning to move. The illegal part involves talking directly with a player.
