Again... I know you are slow...or just like to act ignorant.

The Saints are in a bad place right now.  They need to unload Carr...and they need cheap players.   For this stage,  they need an experimental cheap QB.  McKee or someone similar is perfect fit.

Let’s just walk through whose thoughts are slow here. Your opinion is Saints are a terrible team with terrible cap situation. Need to actually dump the good players on a bad team. Currently have the 9th pick. So everything you said yourself here….completely leads to the only potential outcome of the Saints will not be good this next season either. So since you believe it’s not you that’s the slow one here….you already should have figured out the team currently sitting at 9 this draft will actually probably only have a higher draft pick next season.
So you not be the slow thinker arrived to a conclusion that the Saints QB needs are a two year situation for the terrible QB you call me an idiot for even suggesting  to possibly dress on gamedays(if Hurts was too injured…blah blah whole hypothetical situation I threw out to ponder).
So in all your infinite wisdom explain to me, such a slow thinker, how you arrived at the conclusion the Saints won’t look to draft a QB very high in this years draft…or next years draft? There at 9 this draft….probably even trade up from that if the move is there. Your own words can only suggest they’ll be top ten pick next draft easily.

So McKee is the key starter for two years over their top ten drafted franchise QB somehow you arrived at as a conclusion? Being I’m so slow I’m just way behind figuring out how that makes any sense. Worse is you call me an idiot for even hypothesizing an injury scenario where we could dress McKee.

Why aren't you and your neighbors professional athletes?  The average person isn't fast, strong,  big, quick enough to be a pro athlete

I actually have pro athlete neighbors. Several. Two NBA Champions, each one just a couple doors down in opposite directions. Also couple that both played Basketball in Europe professionally. All four dwarf me at my 6’1”….all incredible nice humble great neighbors.

There’s actually a couple other pro athletes I don’t know as well. One rowed in the Olympics…I believe. Another some Tai Kwondo or something.

Personally I’m pretty sure I could have made pro. Maybe it’s just a fantasy. Never really know. But picked up and played every sport so easy. Without coming off as bragging …with the easiest words I can find to make my point…I was pretty dominant in them all. My issue is I loved football and basketball the most. Two years younger than everybody playing in the Junior Olympics in Basketball. Third in the state football skills. Took up tennis for a month and became a starter on our third place whole region team. Won several gold tourneys. My head to head rivals growing up went very far. Full scholarship to Notre Dame…blah blah blah. One became a pro…nothing notable to others…but enough I’m jealous of.

But at 6’1” 185….football and basketball weren’t going to me my ticket. In my dreams I feel like if I’d stuck to a sport where becoming a pro was possible…I do think I could have. Just a dream. At 17,18…20….I wasn’t driven and focused enough anyway honestly.

So in my killing two birds with one stone attempt. Focused and driven….coachable. 70 percent(just to throw out a random number to make my point) of athletes need much more than just fast and tall. Yea you gotta have the physical athletic traits to even possibly achieve becoming a pro. Takes so many of those what feels like  to me very tangible…intangibles.

Basically those thoughts everybody always seems to let creep up about this or that guy is so fast….hes a pro WR. What did we have Ross this TC? You aren’t getting faster athlete than him. Was he worthy of making the team though?

So if you really really stink…and are a QB needing team….your idea is they won’t draft a QB with the high pick?

They have pick 9... they are in cap hell.

I don't think you fully understand this.

They are probably looking to trade back and get more picks.  9 is a bad slot, you would have to trade up a lot to get a top QB.

Getting the top QB now...does nothing for them.  They need to get out of cap hell first.  Ideally accumulating more picks.  Forget the next 2 seasons ...at QB they need to take a flier to see if they can find the next Purdy.

Or maybe they finally use Hill as a QB? Since he already under contract.

He needs to be cut, traded or extended as one of the moves.   Same with Carr and Jordan.

Just too simplistic a take and viewpoint to believe it’s just about being fast or tall and you’re a pro athlete. Most gotta be completely driven to achieve that. This all ties in to this oversimplification opinion on playing football about no matter what coach, scheme, playcall or situation…just go execute. Let you in on a little secret FL (that’s not so secret at all)…quality coaching is a huge reason behind great execution. A coach teaching his scheme of  what is expected to be done in every situation…leads to great execution. Calling a great…or good playcall sure goes a long ways towards great execution.

Much easier to have what you see FL as great execution when the whole unit is on the same page prepared and given a quality play to execute.

Gotta have talent….not ever denying that. But watched and played enough football to have seen very clearly guys all working together …as what the rest of us refer to as a team…in this team sport….is powerful. Five mediocre OLine working together seamlessly is better than five of the most athletic guys blowing their assignments. On and on with examples. D with 11 guys working as one is crazy hard to deal with.

Why did you say they are discussing hall of fame with Hurts?   Was it his stats?    You mentioned a trip to 2 SBs.

Eli has that ... he is the bar.   To me unbelievable that he is a hall of fame player.  Because his defense held Tom Brady to minimal points in 2 SBs?

Other than those two playoff runs...what did he accomplish?

Did the eye test make you think Eli is a hall of fame player?

Nobody hates the giants more than me. But I can’t really deny Eli. He lead a team that was far from the most talented and beat the undefeated uber-talented Pats. Guy won…didn’t shrink in the huge pressure situations. I actually could explain many reasons why he’s more worthy than his brother Peyton.
But yeah…not sure why…well that’s a lie…I know exactly WHY…you respond about whether our best ever Franchise QB is on a HOF potential track….bringing up our hated rival Eli. Hurts Hater Agenda

Must be MASSIVE learning. How many different ways can you hand the ball off to Bark? Only so many routes in a route tree. EXECUTE the PLAYS. WOW he might have to really WORK for 53 million and learn 3 new play designs,WOW that's asking slot

Your typo actually would be the part that could help. Get us an actual slot third WR. It’s arguably the easiest starting role on O to fill. Really been crazy the struggle there. But hey….put together so much harder pieces at least. Of the 60 or so players been brought through in TC, trades, FA..whatever….our best options have been most notably blocking ‘skill’ players. OZ the highlight standout of the bunch.

But hey with all the other positives this terrible flaw is easiest to overcome. But man…guess I’m reaching for everything here….but good lord if we had somebody work out as that third WR…holy crap. Not a Pro Bowler…just capable.

Right so now you can stop with the Hurts defense of "OH he's had 22 different coaches. Once you learn you trade, the adjustments are minimal. I think that is a PLUS because you get to learn the 2,3,4, things from each coach not a detriment

Love how you come off acting like I wasn’t being very heavily sarcastic with my statement. Guess just highlights the disconnect between our opinions.

Sure….totally would suck to actually stay with the same more than one season working on perfecting and mastering. Heck…that’s not even getting to next level wrinkles these fools develop when together longer than one season. Poor Mahomes stuck this whole time with AR. If only he had the lesser experienced mediocrity funneling through year after year…guy might be able to win something. Fire those bum elite coaches! Chiefs just shooting themselves in the foot hiring a HOF coach to lead them.

I shouldn’t even mention this to just blow your mind into infinity….but I watched interviews with AR and Chiefs players talking about how AR adds to their O every season. Can you believe this? FL see how bad that Chiefs coach is…not only can’t get everything installed and mastered in one TC by the first game….he’s still working on it after all these years. Any real coach and players would have perfected all things football in one minicamp…with the coach on vacation .

WE HAD NO OTHER OPTIONS!!!! LOL BTW we DECLINED home jerseys ,KC will be in white. I hope we can still play and not choke because of uniform choice. I mean this makes it close right here. I'm sure this added to our underdog status. All weddings and engagements need to be stopped too

You are getting worked up and typing in all caps responding to me mentioning” I like the small detail going out way” about we are on a roll wearing our Midnight Greens all playoffs…staying with it for the SB? Anyway…I like it. If there was a choice to be made? These uniforms would be my SB choice.

I’m just so slow I guess is why I don’t understand. Us really slow fans tend to believe a team dumping their QB in need of a QB desperately with back to back top ten high picks…Will …you know…look to draft a QB. Feels like I saw some NFL team…somewhere ….maybe just one single time in NFL history only….draft a QB when their QB needy and possessing a high enough draft pick to not sell the farm. Can’t remember what draft or team that drafted a QB? Probably was decades ago when that happened.

Again... as per usual you put words in people's mouth that they don't say.

I'm simply saying... look at your neighborhood... tell me why most of them are not professional athletes?  The answer for the huge majority should be that they are not physically gifted enough.

That's a first...then comes the skill.

Oh now nitpicking typing, ok, whatever man. Childish. Howie brought guys in Paris,Dotson and drafted 2 others(Wilson,ASmith) like he's not trying?

McKee can play. I’d wish him well. Don’t really want to lose him. I’ve been edging towards him over Pickett. But always thought Pickett was developmental backup QB level guy to begin with. So with quality coaching, surrounding cast, environment see no reason Pickett shouldn’t be improving this year and next. Kind of rather trade Pickett based on skill alone factors. Add in the draft return values and really rather trade Pickett. I just wouldn’t make the trade to just give McKee away. Much more valuable to us.

Idk..maybe you live in a neighborhood where the norm is a guy weighing 250lbs  that runs a 4.5 forty yard dash?

I don't think most of us do.

Totally think you nailed Moore’s plan right there. Taysom Hill running the O as chosen starter. Or he won’t even be on the team at all. Such wisdoms today being shared…thank you.
