January 31, 20251 yr Author They have Olave, a very nice WR, who could use a pocket passer if he wants stats. Rattler is substandard at both passing and running
January 31, 20251 yr The media narrative....which Ham is going to hate... New England and KC did it with all time QBs... Howie doesn't have that, he had to build the rest of the roster to get there. Â

How many teams in 3 SBs in the last 8 years?  How many in 8 conference championship games this century? How many with more playoff wins this century despite the last 4 years of Andy, 3 years of Chip and the first year rebuilding with Doug. ... 8 years of no wins. But....we suck...just make stupid decisions...not like SF.  Cleared cap.missed playoffs half the time, messed up their cap, and draft picks. ..less SB appearances in that time frame... and two lucky playoff wins in that time frame.  But worship at their alter while Howie sucks? Pretty clear to me that it wasn't because AR was a great coach. AR got better PLAYERS when he moved on. Now lately it's been about Howies turnaround in the draft process. Last 4 drafts have been excellent as well as his off season moves. Both us and KC are flying high because both teams got the talented players

Siri was a bit outcoached last time in AZ,I suspect he will be better this time around and we have substantially better players(other than QB). No boo boos and they can't beat us

I was a trade back guy though all the way….in a deep class of wr. I admit I was wrong about JJ. Thought he was slot only. Plus yeah in AR/Pedey O speed is crucial. But added on that was we were so incredibly slow team. Like 1970s slow. I’ll also admit I had Reagor in my group of six WR to trade back and still could get. Several of which did turn out to do feet well(Higgins and such). Sometimes I’m sure we all get caught up in team needs over just focusing on best player. JJ was the second best WR on his college squad. I knew Chase would be the best WR in the NFL. But who would know that the second best WR on a college team would be the second best WR in the NFL?   But your statement is a bold face lie. I never had Reagor over JJ. Never. Trade back…wasn’t high enough on JJ …slam me for that weak opinion…but don’t just make crap up. Be better!

They were discussing the other day that this could be the best offseason of all time for any of the 32 teams. You lost Kelce...yet the OL is better this year. You added Barkley. Then you changed 3 spots in the secondary, both LBs, and survived a Fletcher Cox retirement where you can easily say the DL is better this year. You have depth at LB , DB and OL that you didn't have last year...after losing Kelce and Cox! Your punt returner has been out most of the year.  No problem ! Your last four years of drafting... Smith, Dickerson, Williams, Davis, Jurgens, Dean, Carter, Smith, Steen, Brown, Mitchell, DeJean and Hunt. Not to mention Gainwell, Calcatera, Shipley,Trotter, Ojomo... etc. " I call it like I see it"  yeah...you call S@@#t I do and did call it like I see it. These recent drafts he’s listening to the football guys. Not his strength alone. This year he changed philosophies you licked up and endlessly spewed as the gospel. You championed Rosie for never pay a RB. Just go by committee of mediocrity. He got LB he completely ignored before. He ignored LB and DBs to levels I’d label fireable performance as a GM. Glad it didn’t go that way. He hired a well respected coach that deserved power and control over the D. Giving up that little bit of power from himself to the right guy is and was the great move. So do I believe Rosie chose to draft two DBs himself, not really. That was pretty much all Fangio. Q was clearly a guy should have been traded up for. Rosie I think was hoping he would be gone so he didn’t have to break his philosophical mold. Or he just had the great knowledge and balls to hold still getting the guy he doesn’t believe in targeting there. Much more of the first idea fits than the second. Q,DeJean, Jalyx, Baun….all Fangio. Sorry but I totally see it that way. Credit Rosie with ceding some of his power wisely to make ot happen though. I don’t think Fangio had squat to do with Reddick and Huff. Rosie had that brewing long before he got here.

When did I say Rosie stunk with all these moves or his job this season? He changed up and actually did all these things I complained about being stupid philosophy team building he previously swore by. Hated the dumb don’t pay a RB thought. Hated the completely ignore S and LB GM team building. He got the RB, git the LB, drafted the DBs. I jumped for joy when he drafted Q…did you miss that part? I mentioned him once or twice on here.

He wasn’t forced in over a Pro Bowl far superior talent? Or that Gainwell did a quality job a couple snaps a game? Trot and Shipley haven’t really produced too much either. I like them and believe they can and will all along. I just believed in Shipley as being a higher upside future for us over Gainwell. But fully admitted Gainwell earned the job with his culmination of experience over the Rookie in TC. But that’s the FL one step thought  process. Experienced vet that is decent all around was the better safer option week one over Shipley. But don’t even think that applies now. Shipley is better. Given half a season I’m already seeing the glimpses of him being the better option as the number two back. Gainwell peaked nicely with his experience. He made a few real great plays. Proud of him. But his ceiling was only good enough to hold off Shipley a couple weeks.  Anyway you speak of better job this year crediting Rosie…then list off a bunch of players that Rosie didn’t really deserve credit for doing this year. Â

But that’s only if you ignore the facts that you are acting like it’s some how countering everything I actually just crediting Rosie for. I literally just credited Rosie with doing a great job changing his ways and improving listening to let the football guys pick out the football players. Huge bump in draft track record. Credited him finally improving by ditching the dumb team building philosophy of ignoring starting positions we play multiple guys at and really need depth. Rosie grew and improved and deserves plenty of credit here. But not like you are championing him for so much. His greatness was stepping back and letting qualified people do their jobs. Checking his ego…enough to actually feed it more by the great success changing his ways could always accomplish.
January 31, 20251 yr Is Rosie fantastic for signing Ceedy Duce this season? Or should we just be glad he was making up for such a blind mistake last season?Â
January 31, 20251 yr Is Rosie fantastic for drafting DBs and digging up a Lb conversion he discovered no one else could see? Or was his brilliance getting out of the way to let Fangio do much better team building the D than Rosie was accomplishing? Rosie was sign Bradberry …who’s still on the team. Rosie wouldn’t have picked Baun to participate in camp. He chose the guy who wanted to be a plumber because he realized he was washed up. Rosie brought in….uhmm whoever he had as starting LB over Dean. Weak call….but credit for he stuck with blindly drafting these elite Bulldog defenders getting Dean to pay off. Dean had a great season…but that didn’t happen this season GM job. What are you just jerking it over Rosie didn’t cut him or some unknown reason. Great job paying off with Dean previously….well ok job. I like the drafting of Trot. But what credit can we give towards best GM this seasons moves for his actual production yet? ST player that the whole team has been around most his life.
January 31, 20251 yr What are you crediting Rosie with best GM scouting job in drafting Trot? Or would anybody around our team had been around our top layers don all those years? Honestly, and I know you think I’m just hating on Rosie, but I believe Lurie was the guy making sure we got Trot. I know you don’t watch pressers….if you did…when Lurie talked with Trot after drafting him it was so very gripping emotional pick for Lurie he was choked up about it. Owner on the verge of tears can’t hardly speak because of his feelings that he got Trot. Sorry can’t feel that wasn’t Lurie’s demand and call. Maybe Rosie wanted too also…but Lurie was doing it…if he wasn’t drafted super high. Super rich guy that has everything…that move is what matters to Lurie. Even if he busted.   But still….what credit can we give of the Trot pick? What was it a fifth round ST player? Or just the emotional boost decision?Â
January 31, 20251 yr Rosie locked in Bradbeery for starters this season and Slay. Slay worked out much better than I expected. But Rosie having Bradberry who’s still on the roster because …Rosie locked into paying him as a starter this season. Not even on the roster. Not even dressing as a backup. Mind you Maddox is on the roster, dressing, and sadly been actually playing. Maddox was cheap and whatever. Sucks…but GM fine with that job there. Bradberry paid as a starter this season? Absolutely terrible!Â

January 31, 20251 yr 5 minutes ago, joemas6 said: Let's talk about comparing another GM to Howie.... who do you think is better? You get defensive for EVERY mistake Hurts makes... but all you mention with Howie are moves that don't work out Ask yourself.... you poll the entire NFL community... players, staff, coaches, executives, media members... Who is better at their position....Hurts as a QB or Howie as a GM. Or . .if you owned an expansion team... would you choose Hurts or Howie to start your team building? Honest question... do you think Hurts could get 10% of the vote? Â
January 31, 20251 yr Another question... if there was an expansion team that was allowed to poach a GM...who do you think would get the most votes?Â
January 31, 20251 yr Show Reddick who’s boss and not pay him…well actually paying him to not be here. So that is terrible GM job. But that was previous. Moved on from him I’m fine with the decision. Be crazy if we did still have him and Rosie could have worked that situation out some how. How much Rosie paying Reddick this season to play for somebody else? Best GM move for this season? Not sure I can credit that here.   Making the move away from Reddick an older player ..you can’t pay everybody..fine…but all along believing he could throw money instead at a D system player that overachieved mostly off everybody else to generate those precious stats of sacks. Quick one trick pony sacks. Only happen off of others and only capable of pass rushing…with a single pass rush move. Say it out loud….one move pass rusher that isn’t such an extreme freak athlete to rely on that. Terrible option against the run. So can’t have him even on the field if a run play is even possible. But I know I’m just negative because I pointed all this out when Rosie signed him. Really think most everybody realized this. Fangio balked at Huff from day one…saying we’ll see. See this was all Rosie…not listening to football guys ..written all over it. Rosie got personal with Reddick and planked to bring in the younger upstart pass rusher to cover his perception.   Terrible signing with Huff. Big money….shouldnt even dress on gameday. Rather dress McKee.Â
January 31, 20251 yr If an expansion team was allowed to poach a QB....what do you think the odds are that they take Hurts?
January 31, 20251 yr Who paid Reddick... nobody...he lost money this year...he made 9 million...had half a sack... he was not going to play here for less than $20 million. Of new money
January 31, 20251 yr Reddick’s agency fired him... how often do you see players get fired from agencies and not the the way around? Get your head out of your culo with Reddick. Â
January 31, 20251 yr 3 categories.. 1. Draft... which team has had a better combo of drafts the last 4 years? 2. Free agents....which team has had better group of free agents over the last 4 years? 3. Which team manages the cap better the last 4 years? Now... I'm not saying the Eagles are the top at all 3...but certainly in the conversation in all 3. So which organizations are run better? Now ... once you answer these...let's do one for the QB.Â
January 31, 20251 yr I know it probably comes off as cherry picking good snd bad with Rosie here. But I’m actually praising him for changing and getting out the way probably the most. I totally believe Bradberry and Huff. We’re all Rosie. Do believe the D moves were all Fangio. Like ALL! Fangio was getting his way. That’s a great GM job by Rosie. Hire guys to trust to make great decisions. Then like FL repeats as his keys to elite NFL football…execute. Rosie excited those moves fantastic. He screwed up with Fangio and Ceedy Duce last season. So hard to throw a parade for Rosie over just doing what he obviously needed to do last season. But…did get Fangio…listened to him…then held pat for Q. Steal! He’s my boy…but my miss isn’t blinding me either this tiny college immediate elite phenom. Kid came straight in from playing the lowest level of college ball to the NFL like he was born to dominate as an Eagles. Rosie trade up for DeJean. Great GM move to get Fangio his guy. Fangio wasn’t having nit drafting Jalyx. Everybody questioned that pick from Houston Southwest Tijuana college. But…Fangio was completely correct. Rosie though….didn’t Trump and not pick him feeling it was too much a reach. He begrudgingly just let Fangio do his job…but brilliantly offset the DeJean trade and added ammo trading back…but still made sure he drafted him…what we all thought was too high. No poster here would have been wanting to draft Jalyx that high…or I’m pretty sure Rosie either. But he did it anyway. Great GM move.
January 31, 20251 yr Otherwise... realize the more you post about anything other than when you give the scouting reports on obscure college players... you don't sound intelligent on anything else!Â
