And Siri took away mr. hero ball didn't he? And that's when the win streak started

Hurts does what Hurts does. Siri hasn’t really given Hurts any options himself other than last season during designing his whole plan of Hurts has to play hero ball for the team to do anything. Hurts carried him for quite a bit at that.

Do give Rosie credit for hiring Moore. Not like he’s fantastic…but clearly a guy that can coach and made some serious progress this season. All these things couldn’t be done or coached supposedly….got done.

He led the league in picks by week 4 or did you forget that part?

Not worried about Hurts leading the league in picks through week 4....a month doesn't concern me....the trend of his turnovers started with the big one in the Superbowl...just losing the ball for no reason.  Then 2023 were uncharacteristic turnovers ..for no reason.  A few of the picks early in the year ..for no reason . Thr fact he talked to Siri and they tailored the offense to where he went to things that specifically work best for him... not forcing a complicated pass dominant scheme... a lot fans don't like the way it looks...Hurts doesn't care.

That translates into a team that can put up 55 in an NFC title game.  The simple game..... not the E = MC2 that made the offense not as productive.

But it's the longer trend of those games from the SB until the bye this year...that had to change..

Kudos to Siri for listening to his players.  Especially important to make the QB feel heard and comfortable.

Big deal

It is a big deal

Just no doubt dealing with the Oline injuries was a difficult task for pass blocking assignments. On top of the first time C.

Seems pretty predictable for an O learning a new scheme to me. Add in if you don’t play in the PS just how polished can things actually be? Very first series without a red jersey standing in your own endzone on third and long …is difficult….the fact a good OLine gets smoked and his guy hits you to not let you follow through on your throw isn’t anything I’d change my whole season plan over.

Agree... I think a very big deal how everything was handled during the bye week.   Seems like EVERY ONE got on the same page and bought in.  Kudos to the coach for allowing his players to have input.

Be curious coming up with Williams if his relationship with Siri is enough for him to stay here.

Becton too being that Siri suggesting to try him at Guard turned his career around!

Pretty shocking Becton even attempted G

We all were looking for that RG to be filled. Not even against believing Steen could fill that position. I think Steen would have been just fine. But it was such an under the radar signing bringing Becton in. The one everybody always skipped over when talking about offseason moves. He was a move that Rosie really seemed to deserve credit for actually also. He signed Saquan…huge move for him to go against his team building philosophies that held back his abilities as a GM. But arguably the second best move to credit our GM with making this offseason was bringing in Becton. Very cool Stout credits Siri with the suggestion of trying Becton at G. Something we all were looking at, I’d include Becton without knowing his thoughts personally, his path to being a starter day one was at G.

Players knew/know Siri enough to have learned they needed to come to him. So it was critical they didn’t waste time as a group being very organized coming to Siri telling him they needed to run the ball as an Oline. Something behind the doors I didn’t realize right in that moment. It was more than just a HC saving his own butt.

It was great to get away from street hero ball that was all Siri’s O philosophy was the season before. Pretty much relying on AJ, Smitty and Hurts to make those big plays they were so great at making happen. Huge metric for Siri. Seems like the main metric he used for the O and D. D…he preached just don’t give up the big play. So Rosie forcing Moore in here was huge. Giving the O a few more plays than just scramble to make the big plays.

Totally different having a coach that could teach what to do with the reads the QB was making. Gave options with solutions. Been consistently key every game pretty much. Those few key audibles that translated into the plays of the game. Two 60 yard runs for TDs by Barkley… with a clutch third down conversion to AJ. Made such a huge difference for our O…and team.

Interesting observations... " the gatorade bath giving to Siri was from AJ and Smith... two guys that have had their stats effected by buying into the running game... and the way CGJ hugged Siri after the game, players really love their coach.   You don't see that everywhere. "

Really a lot of stuff behind the scenes we don't know... a lot came out though during last winter/spring to where you could see there was not shot Siri was going to get fired.  Really EVER!

Just curious to see what happens this offseason with some of these guys?

No shot he was getting fired….hahaha except for they took some days figuring out there really wasn’t a HC worth hiring that cycle. But stripped him of responsibilities. Never had anything much to do with the D. But Fangio was being given total autonomy. Hired Moore giving the O completely to him. Made Siri the CEO HC. That was the official and original plan anyway.

I takeaway AJ, Smitty, Hurts,…others….just the character of these individuals. These guys cared about winning the most. Can’t happen with selfish players like that. What’s the list of QBs and WRs that would be accepting of this? Heck…it was a real struggle and challenge for these guys to even do it.

30-24 Eagles

IDK, I think we score more than 30?   Who knows... depends if the Chiefs control the ball for long periods converting on 3rd downs due to our soft coverages?   Last game of the season no reason to hold anything back on either side of the ball... so maybe some blitzes we haven't seen yet?

Ceedy Duce also placed the chain around Siri’s neck. Not a chain that fit or looked right on Siri..but that isn’t important….its what it represented. Nobody talk more than Ceedy….Siri said himself. But just another crucial tight team bond element went into everything.

At any rate whichever team can move the chains and not turn it over will win, but really I don't see them handling Bark at all after he beats up their line

If Barkley can have a bunch of 5-6 yard runs they are in trouble.  I'm looking at using the passing game to control the ball...really seeing Barkley as the home run threat when they fail to contain him.  If Barkley can also pound it on the majority of his runs, in addition to the big play threat... we should kill them.  Big key though is Hurts being able to avoid the 3rd and longs and / or handle the blitz from Spags.

These crucial selfless acts by our team leaders. They were cool with…as long as the results for them here. AJ, Smitty and Hurts sucked up all the negatives. They took the hits to their stats…in some ways. All to pay off in that moment of punching the ticket to the SB. Those were accepting of all that…to get here. Pretty special. Not sure another QB or hardly any other WRs is willing to make those sacrifices. Heck even came out in some frustrations with these three. Most notably AJ and his Passing comment postgame interview.

This is one advantage the Chiefs have for sure... I think they will come into the game much healthier and fresh.   We shall see how the battle at the line of scrimmage turns out.

Which D provides blitzes we haven’t seen yet are you referring? I’m thinking both. Pretty much the main concern against us from Spags I’d say.
